I had the opportunity to have garden city tree service visit my residence for 2 small removals. A small bush and a small tree I spoke to an older gentleman and agreed on the ones to remove. When I was told the job was done they took out the complete wrong ones. I was told I wasnt clear enough and that I still had to pay. Do not use this service I warn you! Save your $$

I had the pleasure of hiring Garden City Tree Service to my house in Niagara Falls. As you see in the picture I attached the tree was not completely removed as I orderd and paid for in full before the job was started. I have a message from the owner telling me that they will not he finnishing because it is unsafe? How is it unsafe? Will I be getting my money back or at least a discount? I paid 475$ to remove this tree completely now I'm stuck with this eye sore in my yard thankyou Garden City Tree Service. I have called multiple times. With no return call or any effort to return and Finnish the job as promised. Please dont get fooled like I did dont hire this company!

Dave and the team just cut down a tree for us without a missed step. The work was done completely and fast, with perfect clean up. Also excellent value. I would definitely use them again.

Had 27 ash trees and some extra stumps removed. Very professional detailed quote and reasonably priced. Stump removal done by them and not outsourced like some other tree companies. Definitely would use again and highly recommend!

They have our recommendation. Prompt response to inquiry unlike all the others. Quick to get out for a site visit. Thorough, detailed and up front about service and pricing, as well as issues impacting timing of service. Provided insight on different options that we could contemplate in solving the problem. On day of service they arrived early and worked doggedly until the job was done. Above and behind cleanup, very conscientious of the home owner and neighbours. Even came back on the weekend to make sure the job was finished to our satisfaction. Excellent work.

We had a large evergreen in front of our house that started to heave during a very large wind storm in 2019. It caused a great deal of anxiety for fear it would fall on our house with our kids rooms being in the front where the tree could potentially fall. We called three companies and St. Catharines Tree Service took the most care and time to ensure that the quote was accurate and very descriptive where the other companies gave the tree a once over and that was it. The tree took some time to be removed from booking to actual removal but to no fault of their own. With Covid 19 being the cause of the delay along with inclement weather but they always kept in touch and we were happy to be patient due to these extenuating circumstances. I would recommend anyone who needs a tree service to call them.

They are honest and they are great at examining safety and other issues related to tree health. Very unprofessional. Dave said it would take 1hour to set up. It took hours. He did not oversee the
project. I was over charged for the service. He quoted one price and then charged me double. He also complained about personal issues each time I spoke with him. Would not recommend this service.

St. Catharines tree service was amazing and was very up front with everything from start with the estimate to the finish when everything was done and cleaned up. An amazing service with amazing staff. A 2 day job, turned into 5 days and the cutting and removal of 20 trees from our heavily sloped forest. The guys worked tirelessly, in high heat and humidity. Took good care of our existing yard with their protective mats. Made hundreds of trips up and down a steep hill. Never complained. Cared about leaving the yard and forest looking nice. Very nice hard working people. Awesome equipment. Gave us good advice about what to do .

Thanks to St Catharines Tree Service. Owner Dave was onsite the entire time the 35' sycamore tree was removed. Very professional. Dave dealt with an angry neighbor that was not amused we were removing the rotting tree. Cleaned up after the very messy sycamore tree removal. Dave came back the following week and ground out the stump. I highly recommend St Catharines Tree Service if you need a tree removed. Thanks Dave GREAT JOB!!!!! Work was done in April 2016.

Dave and his crew were great! On schedule, no hidden cost, professional and pleasant. They removed 5 medium sized trees and a row of hedges, cleaned up the property when they were finish.

I contacted Dave as he seemed to get very good reviews. After some difficulty nailing down a time he did show up and spent a good amount of time reviewing our work and explaining his process which was appreciated.
Almost immediately after getting his quote I told him I would like to move ahead which was met with a text telling me he had been away for 5 days and needed some time to get organized. On June 1st I sent a text asking what his schedule was. No response by either text or phone. I let it sit for over a month before I finally contacted another company and got the work done.
He reached to me on July 15th out of the blue saying he could come 2 days later. When I informed him I had moved on to someone else I ended up getting an angry and very unprofessional text blaming me for not telling him. I suppose I perhaps could have sent him a text but when he didn't respond for 6 weeks I assumed he wasn't interested. Guess that wasn't the case.
At any rate. I think Dave is probably very qualified based on the excellent reviews by others but his poor time management and communication skills were frustrating to me. I would say if you know this going in that you should contact him- he seems to really know what he is doing. Just be prepared for a possible wait in getting a response.

I had Dave come out and give us a quote to do tree work. I called him and left him a voicemail saying that we would like to proceed. Two days went by and he never called me back. I eventually got in touch with him saying I wanted to proceed and he eventually responded saying I needed to give him a deposit first. I asked him how we can go about arranging the deposit and he never called me back. I dont care how good he is at what he does, this kind of behaviour is completely rude and unacceptable. Ignoring people is just plain rude! Go find a company that treats people properly!
