Alex and his team at Pavers 'N Stones were fabulous! They helped me to create an idea for my steep back yard and placed two retaining walls to help me make the most out of the space I have. Alex was very easy to work with and kept me updated frequently throughout the project. I highly recommend them for anyone who is looking to do a home improvement project. I will definitely be hiring them again for future projects!

I've used Goodrich Renovations for several projects over the last 5 years. Great service and all her subcontractors have all been excellent. Barb herself is personable and easy to work with - she keeps everything running on an even keel. Also great to collaborate with for ideas and recommendations . Michael responded quickly to our request for bid for some outside painting. We were scheduled quickly and our painter, José, was skilled and efficient. He even did some touch up work that wasn't in the bid at no extra cost. Alex and the Pavers N Stones crew did a fantastic job on a paver patio and walkway for our backyard. He came out to provide a comprehensive estimate for the project, gave a reasonable bid, and was even able to accelerate the timeline to fit us in earlier than originally projected. He communicated clearly and promptly throughout the whole project.

They answered the phone as soon as I called. A tech (Drew) came out the next day and quickly saw the problem and gave me a reasonable estimate. He fixed the problem, lubed and adjusted the door. There was no hard sell for extra parts.
This is a locally owned and professionally run business. I will call them again if I ever have another problem.

1) someone who listens to your ideas,
2) someone who has creative ideas to fit yours,
3) relationship with expert and reliable subcontractors,
And, lastly a good communicator.

These, and more, are all the things Barb brought to our project. She had to clean up after our first contractor epically failed and saved the day. I will be hiring her again for future projects.

Bonus is that she is one of the longstanding successful female contractors in the State of Oregon; 28 years and counting.

We had a retaining wall with lighting built so that the front yard could be leveled. Alex provided a quote the same day I made the request. The price was very reasonable, but because of a complication the estimate wasn't quite enough to cover all that I wanted done. Alex was very professional and kept the additional amount to a minimum, and completed the work to my full satisfaction! The crew worked quickly and were courteous and cleaned up everyday! The work was completed in only three days and looks amazing! Alex and his crew were great and I'll hire them again!

We highly recommend Five Star Painting. Their capable team repainted our first floor after a major remodel for our NW Portland home. The job included a lot of trim work with new molding updates, wainscotting in the dining room and up the staircase, as well as a large ceiling detail. All of it was done beautifully. The Five Star team was a dream work with: arriving on time, was careful of the rest of our home, cleaned up each day, and were always pleasant and polite. The owner initially came to see the house and asked questions to construct the bid, carefully laid it for us, and stayed true to that proposal. We would definitely call Five Star Painting again for painting needs.

I I highly recommend Five Star Painting. The estimate was done in a very timely fashion. Of the three estimates I got they were the best value but also the highest rated. The project manager Keri did an excellent job in communicating. The three person crew were all very friendly and helpful and they did an excellent job. The entire project went unexpectedly, smoothly and fast from estimate to finish. I would definitely use them for future projects and recommend them to family and friends.

On arrival with a garage door stuck in the down position. We, a neighbor, my grandson and me, had to force the door down.

Next morning an eight fifteen the service person stepped though our front door to the garage. We pointed to the cable problem with many others issue. With in less than 30 minutes everything was corrected and tighten as needed.

My 1996 garage door remote got broken and I was told by another garage door company that older ones can't be replaced and wanted to sell me a $700 garage door opener. I decided to call Dave's, first and was greeted by a lovely woman named Lauren who let me know a technician would be able to stop by today, and would have remotes in his truck that he could test, And if none worked, there was no charge for his visit. Drew arrived and was very knowledgable and kind, He connected the first remote he tried to the garage door. And then going beyond my expectations, he also programed the remote that is in the mirror in my car. I am very impressed and pleased. They made my day with their amazing customer service and care! Thank you!

A cable on my manual garage door came off track; it wouldn't open. I called Dave's (first used in the '80s) and was surprised they've been doing their fixin' for 40+ years. Same day, over to check it out, tightened the spring, lubed the tracks and....VIOLA!! Works like a charm. That's 4 stars...the fifth star is for honoring a $10 off coupon from my old refrigerator magnet !! Thanks Daves and Pen.
