Contractor reviews in Eugene, Oregon

Stonewood did a major expansion, a renovation, and a couple smaller projects for us. They were terrific to work with! The bid process was very thorough and super transparent. Their team did high quality work and were good partners in figuring out all the details with us. We would definitely hire them again and I always recommend them to friends who are looking for a contractor.

High Quality workmanship. Everything always on time and the build kept clean. Excellent communication about timing and any needed change orders. Thorough documentation and records.

We were not the easiest customers. We had never built before, used a custom design, AND insisted on being involved in many ways that probably weren't convenient for Mark (our build manager). Mark let us know when our parts of the timeline were coming up and what deadlines applied to our work.

After the build, Stonewood has been responsive to questions about our new home. Would absolutely recommend Stonewood and use them again ourselves.

Stonewood did two major renovations at our house: a total kitchen renovation and a deck replacement. Mark from Stonewood is a treasure and delight to work with. He brings fresh ideas to the design process and white glove service when it's time to execute. Both projects finished on time, within budget, and cam out better than our original expectations. We referred Stonewood to friends in the past, and would absolutely use them again.

Stonewood did an extensive kitchen/dining/greatroom remodel for us. Mark was our project manager and was very attentive to our budget and timeline and to any questions or concerns we had along the way. We moved out of the house for 3 months during the renovation, and the workers were respectful of our home and kept the work area clean. They provided quality workmanship, and we were very pleased with the finished project. Would highly recommend their services.

Top notch service and outstanding craftsmanship is the only way to describe our experience with Stonewood Construction. The low pressure, thoughtful execution, willingness to listen and incorporate our goals and recommendations, and the true to bid pricing far exceeded our expectations. The level of detail from their finish carpenters makes all the difference in the final product and we are truly grateful every day for the space we created together. Would definitely recommend if you want a product that matches your vision and budget.

The best quality work for your hard earned money. I clean high end homes in Lane County for a living, and it was hands down the best quality for my money. I won’t mention names, but there are a few HIGH END big name contractors in town, that my clients used in remodels and their quality of workmanship was sub par. Mark at Stonewood made sure everything was up to my high expectations! I’m thrilled with our addition ! A 600 foot primary suite with a full bathroom and walk in closet! If you’re considering Stonewood and want to get in touch with me to come see their work, contact Mark Couet and he will provide my contact information !

Stonewood did an awesome job on our full house remodel. Their attention to detail and work quality is amazing. They are also very professional and transparent with cost. They provide a very detailed line item budget prior to starting construction with biweekly billings detailing work complete making it very easy to track. We love the finished product and will use them again if we have a future need!

When building our dream home on a small urban lot in Eugene’s South University neighborhood, we had the opportunity to meet with several highly qualified contractors. Two things became most important to us: consistent, transparent communication with the management team, and the confidence that experienced, loyal subcontractors would be handling the work.

The team at Stonewood Construction excelled in both areas. Their project management was responsive, approachable, and open to discussing even sensitive topics—something that gave us confidence and peace of mind throughout the process. When an unexpected issue did arise, it was addressed in a fair, collaborative manner, with a clear, solutions-based approach.

We were especially impressed with the quality and professionalism of the subcontractors—particularly the tilers, finish carpenters, cabinetry builder, interior painter, and electricians. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the home. We also greatly appreciated the design services provided by Stonewood, which helped us coordinate interior and exterior finishes that reflected our modern aesthetic.

Building a custom home on a small urban lot is never simple, but with Stonewood as our partner, the experience was smooth, collaborative, and ultimately very rewarding. They not only met our expectations—they exceeded them.

Stonewood Construction did an excellent job building our new house. We had previously done a major remodel with another builder in Eugene, and while the outcome was solid the process to get there was not. So we shopped around for this bigger project and chose Stonewood on the strength of some personal recommendations. They delivered on-budget and remarkably on-time - originally quoted 11 months of build time and we were able to move in after 12 months. I've heard horror stories of 6-month-plus delays, but not with Stonewood! The craft and care their team and subs put in is evident throughout the home, and Adam has stood by their quality guarantee over the two years since the project was completed.

We have worked with Stonewood Construction as a subcontractor for many years on several different projects.

Their team is consistently professional, knowledgeable, and organized. Stonewood excels at managing complex jobs and maintaining clear communication with the clients. We really appreciate them as great trade partner with an excellent reputation in the community.

Mark and the contractors who did the work were all very professional, personable and timely ! The 600 square foot addition of a primary suite, including a full bathroom and walk in closet is top notch. We shopped around, and Mark was not high pressure at all. Stonewood was not the lowest cost, but as a professional housekeeper for high end homes in Lame County, I’ve seen many contractors work, and let’s just say, with Stonewood, you’re not paying the highest price, but you’re getting the best quality. I’ve seen it all… trust me. Feel free to contact Mark Couet and have him connect us if you’re interested in a look at their work.

We worked with Stonewood twice in the last ten years. They remodeled our kitchen, replaced all the floors/baseboards in our house, and remodeled both bathrooms. Stonewood is a great contractor. Everyone they worked with was kind, responsible, and clean. We always knew exactly who was coming, and Mark coordinated both of our major projects. He is kind and very knowledgeable as well as responsive. I highly recommend Stonewood for remodel needs!

We were pleased that we hired Stonewood to renovate two large, complicated walls in our home recently. They did an exemplary job from design and installation to finish work on several 8 foot tall windows, doors and designing and installing a very large fireplace. Everyone we dealt with was professional, personable and service-oriented.The crew showed up on time every day, was meticulous about their workmanship and caring about our home, always leaving it tidy at the end of the day. We would love to work with them again and heartily recommend Stonewood to anyone in need. They're an excellent choice!

Stonewood makes the process easy and the product beautiful. From beginning to end, we were so glad we chose them. They’ve helped us bring several projects to life — a bathroom, a nursery, a bar, and an outdoor covered patio — each one executed flawlessly. We cannot recommend them more highly.

Our experience with Stonewood Construction could not have been better. Our home was a hodgepodge of different floorings, moldings, light fixtures, etc. Stonewood literally had to touch every surface in our two-story home, plus do an extensive primary bathroom remodel. We couldn't be happier with the results. And it was finished VERY close to on budget and on-time.

But the icing on the cake was the great people we worked with: From our amazing project manager, Andrew, to Adam and Mark, Achelle, an interior designer who gave us great advice at no additional cost, the accounting department, and the subs, everyone was friendly, professional, great communicators and – most importantly – very transparent in how our choices and decisions affected the bottom line.

As you can tell, we whole-heartedly recommend Stonewood Construction.

We had a great experience building our custom home in Florence with Stonewood Construction. The team was professional, communicative, and attentive to detail throughout the entire process. Since we were originally working with them from out of state, we appreciated how easy they made everything — keeping us informed, answering questions quickly, and making the process feel seamless from a distance. They delivered a beautiful, high-quality home, and we couldn’t be happier. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to build.

Jason and his crew have been great to work with on multiple projects! They have worked on remodeling one of my bathrooms, and installing new floors. They are super helpful, always willing to answer all my questions. The bathroom and floors came out beautifully! I would highly recommend them!

Jason and his team with Prestige were very easy to work with and helped make a stressful situation involving extensive water damage repairs as low impact as possible. Every time I reached out to Jason with a question or concern he responded right away. I appreciated that he and his team were always aware of the circumstances that brought them into our home, and responded and interacted with support and sensitivity to the situation.

Prestige Statewide's Jason, Dan and crew were great. They are very pleasant and respectful to work with. They double checked with me on details frequently and did their best to let me know what was going on and when. They responded quickly to me contacting them via phone or text. WAY TO GO GUYS, IT LOOKS GREAT!

Prestige Statewide is timely, professional, and personable. We get the best quality cabinets, and can always count on them to get the job done.

10/10 would reccomend!

Fenced in my flag lot property, including adding an extra large gate to hide my trailer and taller back fence to cut road noise. The two staff members who constructed my fence were knowledgeable and respectful of myself, my neighbors, and our properties. They did a great job, much faster than expected, and used quality products. I love my new fence! Definitely increased my property value with this project.
