There's a reason all of the reviews here are positive. Owner Ben did everything he said he would. A crew arrived two days after he gave me a price. At first I thought it was a bit much for three guys. They did an amazing job and clean up, in half a day. I couldn't be more satisfied. In fact a couple of baby birds fell out of a tree, and one of the guys(ponytail) was there putting them in a new nest on the same tree when I came back later. I will definitely be a return customer. I had first contacted Ben over four years ago about taking down seven large pine trees in my yard. This year we finally were ready to do it and had permission from the city and Ben’s quote now was only $300 more now. Ben and his team showed up first thing in the mornin, set up a crane and lifted all of the trees to the street where they were able to chop them in the workable pieces. What I thought would be a two day project was done in one day and cleaned up beautifully. I decided the stump grind myself to save money and Ben offered to come out and show me how to use the machine if I needed any help. I highly recommend Ben and Highland Tree Service.

The owner, Ben, was very thorough giving us an estimate to remove a large, 60 yr old maple tree that was clogging up our sewer line.
Ben and his professional crew were punctual and explained the entire, step-by-step process. After his men had a brief safety meeting they got right to work setting up soon after SUB performed two power drops.
I was amazed at how quickly the tree and later the stump was removed.
Ben did a great job of stacking the rounds (6 cords) for my brother-in-law to pick up. The old maple tree may not provide shade anymore but it will warm a household next year when seasoned.
I highly recommend Highland Tree Service (key word "service") for their fair price, excellent work and diligent cleanup.

My husband and I recently purchased a home and part of the property includes a birch tree with several dead limbs. We called several tree trimming services to come take a look. One service told us over the phone they don’t know much about birch trees and if it’s infested they’d recommend we just cut it down. Another told us that we had people already looking at the tree so they wouldn’t be coming out. Ben at Highlands Tree Service was so courteous and prompt! He came to the house the day after I spoke with him and said that while it’s likely the tree is infested the tree looks really healthy with the exception of the 2 dead limbs. He said he has dealt with the birch beetle quite a bit lately and was really confident the tree could be salvaged. He can put THE NEXT MORNING to treat the tree and clear out the dead limbs. They were prompt, respectful of the property and did a great job cleaning up after all the cutting. Ben talked with me for quite a while afterward discussing what to look for now that the tree has been treated and the follow up care. Their price was really reasonable as well. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Highland Tree Service.

We had a massive leaning tree threatening to destroy our house with every gust of wind. We called him and he came out promptly to check it out and give us a quote. He got us into his schedule quickly. On site, the team was incredibly fast and efficient. They worked with no stress or hesitation and completed the job in just a few hours. Highland Tree Service removed a very large Elm tree from my property. I got multiple bids, but found Ben to be very reasonable and personable. He arrived on time with his crew and a crane to remove the tree. They worked fast and efficiently and completed the job in record time. They left the area looking 100%. I could not be happier with my experience working with Ben. I highly recommend him.

Ben and his crew did a great job! Removed 4 trees, mulched the smalls, left me with rounds for firewood, and did stump grinding 6" below so its easier to replant above. If the trees had not been gone, I would never have known they were there.

They showed up when they said they would, took extra precautions to insure no damage was done to surrounding buildings when taking down my cedar tree and left the area looking cleaner than it had looked upon their arrival to the job site. Due to my living an hour an a half from the job, Ben took the extra time to take pictures of the job as it progressed to show the work that they were doing and what the area looked like at completion. Ben from Highland Tree Service did a great job taking down a cedar tree in record time. The tree had died and was in the way for the new yard that was going in. They were able to cut the tree down and get the property cleaned up in two hours and we were able to make our new deadline for side going in the yard. We would highly recommend them for their work and the price for the job was very fair.

Ben and his crew were very professional and skilled in taking down our 80+ foot tall sweet gum maple trees. We had 2 trees that they cut down that were close to our house and to neighbor's property. Highland Tree Service came today to take down a huge fir tree in our back yard. From beginning to end they were polite, professional, and thorough!
They put a crane in our front yard and took the tree out in pieces over the house! It was amazing to watch. They cleaned up great after, including cleanup of any fir cones in the neighbors yard. They even cleaned up the street and back patio of sawdust and cones. Very impressed. Highly recommend.
