Constraction reviews in Happy Valley, Oregon

I hired Muir painting, they were very professional with a decent price. We were very happy with the paint job definitely would use them again and will refer them to our friends.

I hired Dan and his crew to paint the exterior of a house I was preparing for sale. Dan was prompt, flexible and easy to work with through the scheduling process. The bid was fair and prompt in a time when other firms were taking me weeks to provide insanely inflated bids.

When it came time for execution of the job, his crew was courteous, on time and a delight to work with. They were happy to take care of a few smaller things that weren't on the bid so long as I provided materials. In the end, their work looks amazing and my Mother-in-law is considering bidding them for a project of her own. Hire these guys!

Dan is the most communicative contractor I have ever worked with. We always knew when to expect his team and they were always punctual. Dans crew is truly professional and did an amazing job painting my home. I highly recommend their services. You will not be disappointed.

They got us on the schedule quickly, had clear communication, and did an excellent job. My father, who worked for 30+ years in construction, was impressed with their work quality and we are very pleased with the quality and cost.

Dan came and gave me an estimate-- two days later his crew were at our house on time painting ( walls, ceilings, trim) . The guys were great and answered questions. Three and a half days they were done 2800 Sq ft

I received a spam advertising text from Muir Painting: "Its Dan from Muir Painting in Happy Valley. I'll be in your neighborhood next week. Need any painting?"

This type of marketing is illegal and is quite creepy- they bought a list of people's names, addresses, and phone numbers, just a step above stalking. Don't patronize companies that engage in this type of behavior.

Save your money....Worst person and company!! If negative stars were an option I would!! The two men stated to each other "not sure why he hired me to do this.... I don't know what im doing!" True professional!! Destroyed my yard and plants.
Definitely unprofessional!!

We hired Muir Painting Inc. for a sizable interior and exterior painting project. Unfortunately, our experience with them was disappointing. The interior had avoidable flaws, and our expressed concerns were unnecessarily debated.

Unhappy with the quality of the finished work, we are repainting the bathroom ourselves and cleaning up several over-sprays, dripped paint, and touching up holidays (areas missed).

The interior and exterior work was careless. Paint got on our artificial turf, shrubs, new patio furniture, and driveway, which was then tracked inside onto our hardwood floors. Rather than taking accountability, Dan Muir deflected concerns and diminished responsibility. Despite his high-quality guarantee, he failed to follow through.

Poor workmanship and little care for our property, we cannot recommend Muir Painting Inc.

I worked with Muir Painting on various marketing related projects, and I can confidently place them among my top clients. They are a responsible and honest company. As we delved into their journey, we discovered that Dan and his team possess all the skills and experience needed to be top-tier in their field, which is no surprise given their 51 years in the industry.

Dan is a great communicator, very efficient, stood by his quote, his painters were very kind and did a beautiful job!! We have used them twice and have been very happy each time! We highly recommend them! Kim

I highly recommend Muir Painting. I have used them three times over the years; two of those times in 2024.
Their work is exceptional. Their crews are professional and friendly. Dan is knowledgeable and fair. He is proud of his company and this is reflected in his work. Muir Painting definitely deserves your consideration when exploring your options.

We were going to paint some indoor areas our selves, but w/Dan Muir's pricing and efficiency we couldn't resist! We also used Muir Painting to paint the outside of our home several years ago.
Both jobs were done very quickly, super efficient, great clean up, courteous workers, overall great job. Five star all the way and definitely next painting job will be with Muir Painting. Thank you Dan and Team.

I needed new exterior paint to maintain HOA compliance and requested some quotes. Dan Muir personally quoted my townhouse and it tied for the lowest quote and better, offered the fastest turnaround. I was also needing some carpentry work and pavement power washing which he also able to get quoted and arranged. I am happy to say the job was completed in a timely manner and without any fuss. I'd happily recommend this company and would readily seek them out again if I need similar work done in the future.

Muir Painting has painted my personal house two times as well as done interior and exterior work at our business as well. The crew does an excellent job and the quality is fantastic as is the pricing. Also they are neat and don’t leave a mess. I would highly recommend Muir Painting.

We used Muir painting to paint our SE Portland home. The price was very reasonable and the work was outstanding. The crew members were very nice, hardworking and communicated well with us. Overall we had a great experience and will be recommending them to our friends and family. Thanks for the great job!!!

We hired Muir Painting to paint our entire inside of house. They completed the work in only two days with a respect for the home they were painting and with an impressive level of detail. They were quick to accommodate any changes we made. Thank you Muir Painting for our beautiful forever home.

I highly recommend Muir Painting. Dan was quick to visit and provide an estimate and kept on it for paint color and details. He was always available for a call. He and his team were at the ready when our NW weather stopped raining and accomplished our complete house painting in one day! Now enjoying compliments from my neighbors of how nice the house looks.

We recently had the exterior of our home painted by Muir Painting . Price was great, crew is fast and efficient. I was surprised they could paint our house in 1 day. Foreman is on site and makes sure to communicate.
Bottom line - I would highly recommend Muir Painting and would use them again. Our house looks great!

I highly recommend Muir Painting. We had the exterior of our home painted a few days ago. Dan Muir responded quickly after we called. He was able to give us a quote after he looked at the house. The price was very fair. Our house was painted in one day. The crew is fast and efficient. The foreman is on site to help and is very easy to talk to. He had some good ideas when it came to some of the trim details. I would definitely use them again. Great experience!

Dan Muir's team did an outstanding job on painting my home in SE Portland.

Work was done efficiently, and they completed the job in a timely manner while maintaining high standards throughout.

The initial estimate was fair and accurate, and despite working quickly, they didn’t cut corners, delivering a polished and high-quality result. The team clearly takes pride in their work, and the finished product speaks to their skill and dedication. Highly recommended for anyone looking for dependable and top-tier painting services.

Thanks Dan.

If I could give 100 stars, it still wouldn’t be enough! Muir Painting did an exceptional job on my home. They were thorough, professional, and always on time. As a real estate broker, I’ve worked with many painters, and it’s clear when a company not only provides top-notch quality but also genuinely cares about its clients. Dan’s crew was highly skilled, and they got the job done perfectly the first time. This is, without a doubt, the best paint job I’ve ever received. I will enthusiastically recommend Dan and his team to everyone I know. Thanks, Muir Painting, for a fantastic job!
