Electrical reviews in Happy Valley, Oregon

We had an issue in our 100+ year old house and Portland Metro did an exceptional job!
What I thought was just replacing a bad GFCI turned out to be a complex wiring problem. Tyler (our Tech) had to do a detailed investigation on all the plugs, junction boxes, and light switches on that circuit as something was causing a drop in power to the old GFCI. He diagnosed the issue perfectly and in a timely manner (considering all the outlets, and junctions he had to deal with). He also found a partial burned out plug that still hooked up to the old knob and pole. He rewired, put everything back together, tested, all in less than 2 hours!
He was easy to work with, very efficient, and explained the issue and solution in very clear detail.
I would for sure use them for any future electrical tasks. -
Tyler was great! Right on time, from start to finish, he explained everything. I’d use Portland Metro again for any future electrical needs!

Competitive pricing. Timely. Professional. Friendly. Excellent work. Had to troubleshoot where the existing line was located, which was done quickly and efficiently with no cost overrun. Would definitely recommend to anyone requiring electrical work.

Portland Metro Electric and Daniel just did an outstanding and clean major electrical project for my wife and I.
We received incredible service with excellent communication and thoughtful insight to help us achieve our goals in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Our experience working with Daniel was a great example of locally-owned business done exceptionally well.
We recently purchased a 114 year old Craftsman home in need of a substantial electrical system update. We needed to replace an outdated and known problematic electrical panel, replace wiring and electrical work that was performed by a previous homeowner and not to code or safe in some areas, then we had him add recessed adjustable LED lighting in two rooms along with numerous outlets throughout the house and garage.
While Danial was replacing and upgrading our panel we had him add a 50amp generator inlet so we can connect a backup generator to run the house in the event of power outages. The losses from a single power outage can easily exceed the cost of a simple inlet and generator, and our family can comfortably stay home even if the neighborhood loses power.
We called for bids from five different electrical contractors and four submitted bids. Of those four, two estimates were emailed over as PDFs and appropriately broke down the project elements. All but one company had 4-star or better ratings on Google and Yelp.
Portland Metro’s bid was in the middle of the pack price-wise and one of the two detailed estimates. What set them apart from other electrical contractors was Daniel’s interest level in the project, excellent communication and listening skills, ability to see my vision for the project and thoughtfully contribute cost-effective ideas and options for ways to achieve our goals along with clear and reasonable pricing.
During the project Daniel demonstrated a strong work ethic, efficiency, the ability to come up with safe and cost-effective solutions to a few surprises, very clean installations that also look good, and he cleaned up after himself to look as if we didn’t have any work done. He’s also a very personable guy that was super easy to work with.
I would absolutely work with him again on future updates to our home. -
Tyler came out the same day I called and was very efficient and diagnosed the issue (one that stumped a prior electrician), figured out the best way to solve the issue and went the extra mile to take care of my dimming lights. So happy with his work.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The electrician Tyler was so informative, helpful, and professional. All my concerns were addressed and resolved, efficiently and thoroughly. I am so grateful I found this company that I know I can use whenever any electrical needs arise for my home. Highly recommend!

Portland Metro Electric was absolutely fantastic! We needed outlets added in three bathrooms, and every other company we talked to said they’d have to cut into the drywall. Daniel, however, got it done perfectly without making a single cut. He was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout the whole process, and the wiring work was so much cleaner than I ever could have hoped for. I’ll definitely be going back to them for any future electrical needs. Highly recommend!

I needed to install a generator transfer switch, and they were able to schedule an appointment for me on the same week and were willing to negotiate the price to fit my budget. The technician let me know when he was on the way, and he was communicative and respectful. He got the job done quickly and cleaned up after himself. I don't hire contractor for house project often, but I am glad I have a wonderful experience with them on my first time. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent experience with Portland Metro Electric. They recently installed new wiring, new plug and a dedicated circuit for one of my commercial office spaces. Their work was top-notch. They were professional, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable. I asked them to minimize the damage to the drywall if possible and they took the time to explain the process, ensured everything was done safely, and left the workspace clean. I highly recommend Portland Metro Electric for any electrical needs — they truly deliver quality service!

Portland Metro Electric:
Ilia arrived on time ready to begin the first of 3 new outlets. Two involved added conduit inside my garage to make existing outlets more usable.
The first was on the top of the back wall. For some reason the condo units were vented for central vacuuming in 2000 when the building was constructed. (If only they could have foreseen the future!)
That one went along the back and side walls then dropped down. See photos.
The next was close by, an existing GCFI outlet that he added conduit to in order to give me an additional outlet more easily accessible. See photo.
The final one is for an upcoming project that requires an outlet higher up on the wall. See photo.

The way this all worked was that the estimator, Daniel, came out, I showed him what I wanted done, he took a video of my proposal, showed it to Ilia and the rest is history.

I would absolutely recommend Portland Metro Electric for future electrical work, big or small projects. Mine were all small and in the same area, but I'm confident they could easily perform much larger projects with the same level of expertise and professionalism.
Thanks so much for your hard work!
