They did a bunch of work for us back in March, and when we thought we had issues, Carol sent out a team to assess our issues. We have been working with them for nearly all of our electrical work for 10+ years, and I can always count on Carol to take care of us.

They don't want customers who read their contract before they sign it. I asked why does it say basically that no matter what they do to your house, it is not their fault if there is damage? There were no qualifiers such as, "except for gross negligence," or anything. So they can start your house on fire and they want you to sign that they can never be blamed for it. Also, I asked why do you have to pay extra if the City inspection finds a mistake? They called, "doing extra work," but it is work that should have been done correctly the first time. Once I pointed this out, they told they don't have time for the work on my house anymore. WATCH OUT! Don't trust contractors that put language like this in their contracts!

Before my scheduled appointment, I had confirmed my address with RK over the phone, the day of I was contacted that the electrician was on his way. After waiting for a bit, the electrician called and revealed that he was given the wrong address and had travelled to the other side of town. After rescheduling, I took time off work, AGAIN, to wait for the electrician. He arrived a bit later, after looking for the wrong house number as RK office had yet again gotten my address wrong. The electrician did a fine job, but it was costly, and the only compensation I was given for my botched appointment was a gift certificate for a free Cinnabon (which I don't eat). I don't feel confident in contacting RK again as not only were they insufficient in administration, but their apology was inadequate.

Great electricians. Referred by a neighbor. We wanted 2 LED can lights added in family room, 3 in entryway and 3 in the back hallway. They came out and estimated the job. We agreed on a price and they had it all done in exactly the timeframe they quoted. They handled everything including permit. We got randomly chosen for a permit inspection and passed with flying colors. The city inspector had nothing but good things to say about RK Electric. Same here. Highly recommended.

I called RK electric to add some outlets to my house on the exterior patio and inside the garage. They provided fast service and Roland and Rick were amazing to work with.

Excellent service starting with Amy then Rob and Rick. We got many quotes but Rk was the most forthright and honest in meeting our electrical needs.

Had a last minute need to install longer electrical connections for a new water heater. RK came through in time and as always they did excellent work. Cleaned up any mess and were very professional. Alway happy to call on this company.

Dan and Ryan arrived at the expected time and went right to work. Because we had used this company for a remodel which required a lot of new and additional wiring, we called them again.
We had a long list including adding a ceiling fixture in 2 different bedrooms, swapping out a fixture in a bathroom, repairing wall plug, hardwiring the motion sensor light over the garage, etc.
Well done, no mess, very courteous guys.

Called the office spoke and spoke with Carol. I explained that I wanted my bedroom ceiling fan replaced it had quick working. I also explained I did not have a new one yet. Carol stated it would not be a problem. We set the appointment up for today. The electrician arrived and saw that we did not have a new replacement for the ceiling fan. He refused to complete the work. He stated that he would have to return when we had purchased a new ceiling fan. ( Carol did not explain that there would need to be a new ceiling fan purchased by me to be installed before he comes to the house). As he exited the house I asked him a question about the dining room ceiling lamp. Could it be shortened it hangs down too far. The electrician stated yes, you just replace the rod with a shorter one. He asked if he could take it down for us and set it on our dining table? I said okay. He took down the lamp within four minutes. He stepped back stating when you get a smaller rod extender we can come back to do both for you. However, for today we need to get $215.00 from you for what I did today.

I’m very happy with the quality of work RK did installing my EVSE car charger and circuit. Every step of the way from initial contact with RK, the bid process, communications, scheduling and then the actual install work has been possibly the best professional contractor experience I’ve encountered with any residential contractor. A+

Great experience. Got patio lights strung and a new outdoor outlet installed. A bit trickier than it would look at first glance so in troubleshooting two other electrical devises I thought had failed began working again! A GFC outlet had failed and was replaced. This saved a lot of money!

I highly recommend RK Electric for your electrician needs. Communication was thorough and professional with both the office (Carol) and electricians. They were on time and let me know when they were on their way. Rick and Isaiah really focused on the job at hand and cleaned up as they finished tasks. They were friendly and informative when I asked questions or they needed to explain anything to me. Safety was obviously a high priority, as Rick pointed out a couple outlets in my kitchen near the sink that were not GFCI-type outlets. We did a quick change order and that got done as well as my other items: fixing a bad switch, replacing my 44-year-old breaker panel, adding a new circuit for my portable air conditioner, replacing some ceiling lights with wafer lights, replacing florescent lights with LED lighting in the garage, adding a new outlet to my kitchen island, and installing a new back porch light fixture with one I got at Home Depot. ALL this was completed in a day and a half! The Washington County inspector came today and approved everything. He said the electrician did a good job and did everything right in considering my solar panels and breakers that have to be in a specific location, along with using appropriate labeling. Last but not least, all my breakers have legible and detailed writing for all the breaker locations. GREAT JOB! THANK YOU!

I had the best experience with RK Electric and team. Carol was so professional and easy to work with the whole way through. The walk through for an estimate was on time and I really felt that they listened. I had received an estimate from another company but RK was much more thorough and that made me feel more comfortable. When service was scheduled Carol was amazing and let me know what to expect moving forward. The crew showed up on time to complete the work, were professional and friendly. I know it can’t happen with every job, but they ended up finishing early. They were conscientious and cleaned after themselves. They even found some earrings that had fallen on the floor and set them where I could find them. I am so pleased with the service, professionalism, respectfulness and overall experience. Thank you to all who worked on my home. I feel so much safer and am so glad I hired your team. I had outlets replaced, a dedicated outlet installed for a high usage item (treadmill), an outside outlet installed for holiday lights, a light fixture replaced a new light fixture installed, some wiring cleaned up in the garage and my outside meter secured to the house (per house inspection instruction).

We brought RK Electric into our home to do some new outlets for a kitchen remodel and some general upgrades. Their office staff was very responsive and easy to work with. I had them upgrade my service from 100amp to 200amp, install a new 110v run for a gas range that will replace the electric, and add a 230V 60amp run for a hot tub. They took care of everything and left the work area cleaner than when they arrived. I had a great experience with everyone I worked with, from Carol in the office to the electricians Rob, Rick, Hardy, and Francisco. I will definitely use them again for future remodeling and home improvement jobs that need electrical work.

In my recently purchased house, I needed some additions like an EV charger, but importantly I needed fixes for problems discovered during the inspection period. RK Electric provided much the same suggestions as other electricians, and a competitive bid. Importantly, I warned the work crew to look for additional sketchy or scary things, so I could get them fixed. They did, and simply handled the few small things they found. Absolutely listened to me and responded well. The net result was even better than I'd asked for, with a big dose of comfort that my new house was safe and ready for move-in.

Really happy working with Carol in arranging for the service needed that I had done on my newly purchased home. Rick and Roland replaced my ceiling fan, got my kitchen lights working again, and installed two bathroom timer switches - oh and they wired my Ring doorbell so I don’t need to recharge it. I have never had electrical problems in my past, but now I needed help with an outage across a whole section of our home. Once I spoke with Carol, she set me up with Rick who came out first thing in the next morning which is today. Both Carol and Rick gave excellent service and did a great job. Rick found the problem quickly and knew exactly what to do. A plug had burnt out and melted extremely bad. He replace the plug and the line in the wall. Fantastic and quick work. I highly recommend RK Electric.

I would highly recommend RK Electric for all your electrical needs. I needed an outdated light fixture installed on a high ceiling and called for an appointment. Within a couple day turnaround, I now have a professionally installed light in my entry way. The technicians Rick and Roland were super friendly and detail oriented, getting the job done quickly and with great pride. Very happy, will use them again and recommend to all of my network!

I called Beaver Electric because my garage fluorescent lights went dark. Dylan Woodall came out two days later and he was delightful to work with. He gave me several options for a solution and helped me make the decision. Some parts were needed, so he ordered them and set up a time to come out next week and finish the job. Very happy with the service so far!
