I have been working with NLS for a bit over a year now and they have made my grounds look amazing. A big shout out to Jose and his team as a property manager to another I would suggest giving them a try if needing new landscaping.

Northwest Landscape Services had recently been hired for landscaping maintenance for my relatively small but new neighborhood (Urban Oaks in Vancouver, WA). Among other things, they were hired to mow and maintain the homeowners' lawns as well as the small neighborhood park. In the 2.5 weeks that they were servicing our neighborhood, they did more damage than if the properties had been entirely neglected. The biggest problem was that they killed about 50% of the grass in every single lawn, the park, and the surrounding landscaping. Although their intentions were good (to spray and remove clover), upon spraying, every patch of grass that was sprayed is now dead. The park and all the lawns are now an eyesore. What used to be a selling point that kept the neighborhood home values up now has become the exact opposite. You can very clearly see the sweeping pattern of the spray throughout the whole neighborhood, in the form of dead grass. Additionally, they missed mowing at least one of my neighbor's house, and skipped a week of mowing altogether to "let the spray set in", the spray that killed everything. This is the first negative review I've ever given, and I would love to happily change the review to something more positive if they somehow fix the issue. But as it stands, I'm not sure that will happen, as the HOA just fired them. I definitely could not in good faith recommend them unless the issue was resolved.

Easily the worst landscaping company I have ever seen. Only hire them if you want your neighborhood actively destroyed. They are extremely disrespectful of the community and our property/vehicles.

A list of issues we have had throughout the neighborhood is: killing of decorative vegetation via careless herbicide use and directly spraying herbicides onto residents and their children enjoying our park, displacement of mulch paid for by individual residents via leaf blowers and weed whackers resulting in debris impacting and landing all over vehicles and requiring replacement of mulch paid for out of our own pockets, and leaf blowing debris directly into vehicles as you drive through the neighborhood pelting the car and the driver through their open windows even when the operator sees the vehicle passing and when you stop - leaving time for them to stop blowing.

One of the least capable grounds services we have ever encountered.
These clowns have sprayed weedkiller on our flowers and vegetables, as well on neighbors plants. Thanks for killing the plants, you clueless fools. They leave weeds and crabgrass growing. Their pruning jobs damage what they hack.
If a NEGATIVE REVIEW could be given we would rate them minus 10.

This company is in charge of the landscaping in our apartment complex. Every Tuesday they park in front of my garage. I asked the guys on site, called the office several times and all I asked that they would leave a number to call on the truck in case I need them to move instead of chasing them around throughout the complex. The office ensured me they would but nothing has changed. The guys even parked in my assigned parking spot before and when I asked them to move, they told me no. I don’t know how this company receives their referrals but the guys on site are rude, unprofessional and unwilling to comply. Bare in mind I told them it’s ok if they block my garage, all I asked for was a contact number. I’m done asking and playing nice at this point.

Not supposed to put weed killer BY someone's vegetable plant. Learn to read instructions.
Trim small pine bushes wrong. Supposed to 'candle' ends, not use hedge trimmer on. That kills ends, won't grow back.

Deep ruts in lawns, mower used is too heavy.

Too much blower use.

Trims shrubs wrong, leaves sharp ends.

I would rate this company no more than 2.5 out of 10.

Ernesto, Miguel and crew designed and built a beautiful terraced garden to replace our shabby wooden raised beds. They were timely, professional and did great work. We have received many compliments and look forward to planting a great garden this spring.

This is the team to hire for any landscape or hardscape project. They have the skills that have translated my ideas into beauty. It is amazing how good they are.

In my yard, I have been working for months to do a hardscape redo as I have rearranged plants around a new deck. They turned my unprofessional look (I just laid down pavers on soil for a pathway) into a beautiful feature. What a difference! And as I watched them do the many steps to properly lay pavers – including cutting to have exact sizes – I realized how lucky I was to hire them for the job.

Ernest and Miguel are friendly, trustworthy and supportive with easy communicating.

As a business, they offer reasonable prices, are most professional (in the full sense of the word), and are licensed/bonded/insured.... unlike so many, many others in this service sector.

You can feel both safe and pragmatic in hiring this firm.

And I can also say that I am very impressed with their landscaping work! Beyond mowing and yard clean-up, they fixed my back and front yard lawns with thatching, aerating, and seeding to repair my poor grass (my fault of just ignoring them and hoping Mother Nature would make all right – ha!).

As is evident in this review, I am highly recommending them to my friends and neighbors.

Cannot recommend Ernest Landscape highly enough. Miguel and his crew handled a major front and back yard job for us: overgrown landscaping, weed removal, hedge trimming, debris haul-away, the works... the results were outstanding. Professional landscaping company, clear communication, on-time arrival, and great pricing.

The work was so good that I've hired them for ongoing lawn maintenance and landscape care.

Great experience! We recently moved here and didn't realize how fast the weeds grow in the summer. Our side yard was covered in the tall weeds and brush that grows here. Miguel and his team were able to give me a good cost estimate and had availability to clean up our yard on short notice. They were fast and super professional. Very easy to coordinate with. Will use them again for any lawn care we need in the area.
