Do not recommend this business. Scheming business with a steep diagnosis price of 120 for 15-20 minutes of labor. They offered a repair that would cost as much as a new machine would cost me. I objected to Tim that the diagnosis was steep and that I was uncomfortable paying it; his response was how "experienced" he is. His "experienced" opinion was absolutely worthless, as it turns out, I was able to fix my washer by simply replacing the power outlet - a 25 fix. Word to the wise, just buy a new appliance and don't waste your money on calling this business. And to the business, stop committing highway robbery in our community, giving repair folks a bad reputation.

I had Genie appliance repair out to fix a dishwasher that I attempted to fix on my own. Tim got it back online replacing a part I attempted to repair myself. The next time I did not attempt to fix my dryer, Tim came out and my clothes are now coming out dry. Thanks for all the help! I know who to call if need another appliance repair.

Clothes washer was leaking all over the floor! Tim with Genie was able to easily diagnose the issue and fix it. Very pleased with the service - fast scheduling, Tim called to confirm, was on time, made the repair quickly and pricing was competitive.

Tim was very prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. We had our refrigerator go into demo mode and stop freezing/cooling. He recognized it and fixed it in less than five minutes but still took the time to check everything and explain what he was doing, even offering tips of things we should do as yearly maintenance. I would highly recommend him to anyone with an appliance issue!

Excellent communication, service and follow through. Tim responded quickly, arrived on time then went straight to work. He is very experienced. He quickly accessed the situation and worked through the challenge affecting our Kitchen Aid refrigerator. Initially he thought a part was not needed, but after a bit of testing leaned that he needed a door mechanism which aided in limiting ice buildup – he ordered the part and returned promptly to install – all good once again. Tim is now our go-to guy for appliance repair – prices are reasonable and service is quick and efficient.

It’s Sunday, I work for the DoD and live in Millersburg, Albany Oregon area and needed necessary items washed and dried for the week.

I troubleshooted the dryer with Tim’s Guidance, also Tim let me know he could come down and provided the service call repair and was also upfront on the fees and labor. The part I needed he had in stock, I guess what the contingency to deal with his how bad do you need a repair. I could have waited however Tim replaced the root cause of the issue on top of the bad part. So I guess, we pay in the front or you cut corners and pay in the back. Tim was respectful, kind, informative and upfront! I will call Tim again for repair if ever warranted.

Excellent service! My washing machine was leaking water. I called several companies before calling Genie Appliance Repair. The other companies were booked weeks out and more expensive. Tim had a cancelation the day I called. He came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and scheduled the return visit. Once the part came in he called to let me know and confirmed our appointment. If he could arrive early he communicated with me beforehand. I was never left hanging wondering where he was, if the part came in, etc. He was friendly, punctual and very professional. Most importantly he fixed my washer before the other companies could do diagnostic testing!! I highly recommend Genie Appliance Repair!! Thank you, Tim!! Well done!! 😊

Tim (the owner) was awesome! He came out on the weekend; because that's when everything breaks, right!?!? Tim was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us apprised of each step of diagnosing the problem with our freezer. He ultimately fixed the problem and saved us thousands in lost foods and buying a new freezer!

Our washing machine stopped this morning. We called Genie Appliance Repair and Tim was able to come out the same day, even though it is a weekend. He was on time, knowledgeable, professional, quick, and generous with his knowledge. If anything else goes out, Genie Appliance Repair will be our first call. Tim was amazing, more than accommodating and professional. He was able to come out within 48 hours of our call, even though neither repair would be considered an emergency. He trouble shot and repaired a washing machine and refrigerator for my Grandmother and was just incredibly fast and thorough. He was also incredibly kind and patient while explaining each step. We would absolutely recommend this company and their services. Worth every cent.

Extremely Unprofessional Experience

I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism displayed by Genie Appliance Repair. I spoke to the service technician first thing in the morning to book an appointment for the next day. Later that day, I called back to confirm payment, as we had agreed, only to be told that my spot had already been taken and that I’d have to wait two more days.

When I asked why, the technician said he doesn’t hold spots because “most people don’t call back” – despite the fact that I had clearly committed to providing payment info when he requested it. I then asked how he planned to make it right and whether he could still honor the appointment for the next day, as initially promised. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, he told me it would be better if I just “forgot about him” and found someone else.

This is completely unacceptable. The lack of accountability and disregard for customer service is frustrating and unprofessional. I strongly advise others to avoid this business.

My old freezer quit on me last week. I looked for a used one but none met my size requirement. I called a couple of places that sell appliances, with no result. I called this gentleman, and i explained the problem, and sent him a picture the model number. He and I agreed it was probably the timer. They're not made anymore for this model. He said he had a newer frigidaire timer that he thought he could make work with some modifications. It took sometime to retrofit it, but he stayed with it, and I have freezer that is working better than before. I appreciate the "Can Do" attitude when a repair person is presented with a tough job.

Our 8-year old Maytag dryer stopped heating and we called Tim at Genie Appliance Repair at about 7 pm on a Friday evening. After describing the problem and giving him the machine's model number, he was able to identify one of two likely problems and estimated the cost of repair. He educated us about the nature of the problem and talked us through the cost-benefit of repair vs. new machine purchase before coming out. He was able to schedule a service call the following Monday (2 days after the call) and would've scheduled a Sunday call if we wanted to pay the weekend rate. He gave us a 2-hour time frame window and arrived at the earliest time.

Once he opened up the dryer, he confirmed that the heat element (the one requiring the machine be torn apart first to reach it) needed replacing, as he anticipated. He worked efficiently to complete the job. In fact, after finishing the job, he offered to troubleshoot any other appliance issues we might have. So, we got some good tips about keeping the washing machine clean, the dishwasher filter cleaned out, assessed the integrity of our oven downdraft, and advised keeping the refrigerator condenser free from accumulated dust. He is an excellent communicator, seemed to enjoy teaching, a calm and respectful presence, and delivered a reasonably priced service. At this point in time, he's worked in the field for 25 years! I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Great service. Tim showed up within 3 days of initial contact. He quickly determined the problems we were having with our older washer and dryer with clear and concise explanations of our issues and what he was doing to sort them out. He even gave us some useful advice to avoid problems in the future. We were very happy with the results and there were no extra charges beyond the initial service charge. We will definetly be using him in the future when needed.
