Andy and his crew built a "dry creek bed" on our hillside acreage to divert water away from our landscaped area. Last winter's heavy rainfall resulted in water gurgling out of a terraced bank, flowing over our lawn and filling a small pond with mud. Andy's excavator operator dug a long trench above the affected area, lined it with drain rock, corrugated pipe, then more drain rock on top. They used the dirt from the trench to build a berm on one side so the end result is functional and it looks good.
We were very impressed with the workers. They were courteous, professional and very hard working. We are pleased with their work.

My lawn had become a hopeless patch of weeds, but AR Landscape, Inc performed a miracle and it is thick and lush again. I even get compliments from my neighbors! If you want a nice lawn but don’t have the time or energy to maintain it, I recommend giving AR Landscape, Inc a call!

AR Landscape provided a rock patio and french drain system for a home we're rehabbing in Amity, OR. Always open communication with cell phone or emails to office. We had called around to a few Landscape companies. We picked AR LANDSCAPING \. They listened to what we wanted and also added in some good ideas that would help are back yard. So we hired them to do the work and once the brass was torn out and the prep work was done it was getting done and each day looking better. now that its done. We have are french drain and a simple gravel back yard that we can let are dogs run around on and now worse's of grass getting torn up. Now since Friday is going to rain the test will happen. Thanks for your work and going the extra mile on changes that came up.

They did a great job with my stonework last winter, creating a hot tub pad and a fire pit with seating wall and walkway. I used them this year for a Spring cleanup, again with awesome results. I will continue to use them for my upgrades and maintenance needs year after year.

If I could give them zero or negative stars I would. Let me begin this review by saying that I am extremely slow to judge, and almost ALWAYS give people the benefit of the doubt, even when I probably shouldn't. The only thing this company is good at is taking your money for services they never intend to render. From day one, this company has been nothing but a headache, hassle and waste of money. I should have known when the owner came out to give us a quote and never showed up. He claimed that he couldn't find our house and lost my number so he couldn't call me. It wasn't until I waited around for an entire day and finally called them the near morning that he came up with that excuse. Against my better judgement, I let him come another day and we entered into a one year contract for weekly yard maintenance. This was to include mowing, edging, weed control and basic upkeep of our front and back yards. We have a very small yard space, really only takes about 20 minutes to mow front and back. For whatever reason, this family owned business does not seem to run well AT ALL. They skip weeks almost every month, fail to do anything more than mow (if you could even call it that) and are downright unprofessional. The crew is, for all intents and purposes, lazy and unprofessional. They would come to my house and sit in my driveway for almost an hour before doing 15 minutes of "maintenance" and leaving. I held onto my belief that maybe things would get better and over the course of a year, NOTHING has gotten better. They have left our gate open, which let our dogs escape. They never respond to communications in a timely manor, and now here at the end of our contract they have completely stopped showing up or responding to any communication despite the month of April being paid for. I will say it again, the ONLY thing this company is good at is sending you the bill and cashing your checks. Once they get your money they will treat you with absolute disrespect and completely disregard the terms of the contract that they themselves wrote. Save yourself the trouble and find a different company.

A&R Landscaping has been doing a high quality job with my lawn for years. They were a little more expensive than other companies, but they have come regularly every week, and I've never felt the need to complain about the quality of their work.

My previous lawn care company stole money from me and never returned equipment I lent to them, so you have to be really careful with who you trust. One time I thought that their crew took a plant pot from my lawn and when I told them about it they made a special trip to give me a new pot for free. A few weeks later I realized that I was mistaken and had simply misplaced it. I never heard a word of complaint from them, even though I was wrong.

Their payment process is very straightforward. Every month I get an email with a bill and I just schedule a bill payment form my bank. I'm not sure why so many people are complaining about paying them.

AR Landscaping is amazing! I was so impressed with how professional and knowledgeable Andy was, he carefully explained each step of the process and allowed me to make decisions that worked best for my family. To make things even better, his prices were unbeatable! He built up the side of our lawn, added a beautiful retaining wall, and completely revitalized my landscaping to the the point that it is no longer recognizable compared to how it looked before he worked his magic. It is nice to know that there are businesses that truly comprehend small-town values and ideals. There is no better, faster, or more experienced that AR Landscaping! I know who I will be trusting with all of my landscaping needs in the future

We've also had them help us improve the value of our yard by building a decorative rock wall and reseeding our lawn. Andy even made special trips to our home to water the freshly seeded ground during the heat of summer, while we were out of town to ensure the seeds wouldn't dry out.

Professional, experienced, inventive and a good listener, AR Landscape Inc. installed a new garden for us in the spring of 2025 in McMinnville, Oregon. From the beginning, Andy Rhodes, the owner, listened closely to my ideas. One of the best things about Andy is that he listens to the client and does not try to impose his vision on their garden. However, he is also quick to offer solutions to problems. In particular, I was impressed with how he saw problems before I did and solved them quickly. He and his crew got our ancient irrigation up and working, resolved the standing water on our patio, improved the soil, re-set our raised beds into a more pleasing arrangement, renewed the weedy quarter-minus gravel and more. The only thing that could have gone more smoothly was communication over plant selection and delivery, but it still worked out very well. Andy and his team installed over 1,000 sq ft of tall fescue sod in our backyard. They were affordable, efficient, and very knowledgeable. We are very pleased with the retaining wall that AR Landscape built for us. We wanted a low decorative type wall that would run alongside our driveway and connect to a much larger retaining wall.
