Traveling on I5, on 12-8-23 at 3pm, one of their trucks had rocks fly/bounce out of his trailer and hit our windshield 2 times before we could change lanes safely, to avoid getting hit again. Trailer should be tarped!!!

I wouldn't recommend this company for multiple reasons, but the main one would be the simple fact that they could not provide the exact hours that the plumber was at my location and match that to the billing. They sent me two different bills after the project was completed. I used this company because my building frequently does, but I'm going to go back to my regular plumbing company.

Horrible company. 6 months later still in my building doing work that never needed being done. And for the fourth time this year and second day in a row, none of us have any hot water because they deliberately shut it off. It's even more disgusting because our rent money is what's paying them
There's a special place in hell for these people.

Tim Wingo did a great job and fulfilled all of our expectations for what a professional contractor should be/do. The quality of work was excellent and he did whatever it took to get the job done on time and right. We had an emergency with our water mixing valve at our community that houses over 80 residents and he was there to save the day. Thank you and i hope that you guys continue to employ trades workers of his caliber.

Got an appointment in a timely manner (2 days ), Eric arrived early and was excellent to work with, explained what he was doing and why. Wish all my experience with the trades were this good. Satisfied with the price also. Very fair.

We had a major plumbing problem in our unit of our building that required immediate action. Portland Mechanical sent Matt who was on the the spot in 30 minutes even though it was in the evening and stayed with it till he got our problem fixed. The/He saved the day!! He even cleaned up the mess afterwards 🙏 I would highly recommend this team for their professionalism and work ethic!!!

I live in a mobile home park and the other day we had a main pipe break by the front gate. They didn't get our call till about 8 that night....and after digging it up and finding a huge break Eric worked till 1am to assure the residents (some 60 or more of us) that they would have it fixed and ready to go by morning....and came to finish up the remainder...bright an early! I haven't seen real professional work done in awhile!
Thank you Eric we really appreciate your work!!

Today we had a plumbing emergency. Another contractor (utility) accidentally broke our waterline. Portland Mechanical Contractors was dispatched to help. When I called, Sabrina was very understanding and did her best to get us a tech asap despite how busy they were. The tech (Eric) was a pro. He handled the problem and we got our water back 2 hrs ahead of schedule. Not an easy thing to do these days. Thanks PMC.

This is the first online review I have ever written about anything - I just am left with the worst feeling that I was totally taken advantage of. I called Portland Mechanical to replace the filters for the air conditioning at my office, as well as look into a whistling noise that was coming from the unit. After a couple of hours, the whistling noise was fixed. Eric came back to our location on two separate occasions for several hours over the next few days. On the third day he handed me a bill for 17 hours of labor, plus 1.5 hours of overtime and over $900 in supplies. He did not announce his arrival or departure for the two additional days he was here. $3,200 to replace the filters and fix a whistling problem that stopped two hours after he was here. I felt so taken advantage of that he continued to work on our air conditioning when he was not asked to. I explained that we are a small business, and were not prepared to spend thousands of dollars on unwanted repairs with no warning. When I expressed my frustration to him, he said that he didn't think I seemed too concerned about money. I told him that most people are. I will never call Portland Mechanical again and would not recommend them to anyone.

Used this company in past years for projects. They were always very professional and reasonably priced. Haven’t used them in a while and called them for a plumbing situation. They didn’t do anything for the situation and charged $400.00 for it. They are overly priced and not as professional as they used to be.

Had a driver in truck 413 sped up to close a gap after turning on our turn signal and flipped us off November 19th at around 10:45. There was plenty of room to merge and he was very unsafe and dangerous. He then sped around us at a high rate of speed.

I recently needed emergency assistance to remove a cleaning brush that had become totally stuck in a ceiling dryer vent duct in a Loft apartment I manage for my son. Nothing I tried worked and I had nowhere to turn. Luckily I was referred to Baron Adams, VP at JH Kelly Company. Baron was incredibly helpful and agreed to meet me at the Loft to assess the problem. Not only was he able to remove the stuck brush from the duct but he worked with precision, skill, attention to detail, and professionalism. The residents of the Loft were once again able to safely use the dryer knowing the vent was working properly. Baron did a truly wonderful job. He is a great ambassador for JH Kelly Company and I would not hesitate to recommend Baron and the Company he represents to anyone seeking high quality services and unique solutions to problems.

Baron and Brian came through for our house and I couldn’t appreciate it more!

Classic mistake, we forgot to test the AC before a heatwave, and sure enough, when we needed it most, it didn’t turn on. It was user error, blew the fuse in the outside unit because the filter was installed incorrectly, and also hadn’t been replaced in a while. The fail safe worked and blew the fuse without ruining the unit. Us, not being electricians, knew that after flipping a couple breakers and it still not working, we needed some help.

At the end of his workday in 100°+ weather, Brian stopped by, had the necessary parts, and got the AC up and running again. He showed us the issue, had great advice, and was very kind.

I would absolutely recommend this company. Once I find an honest, reliable tradesman, I want to spread the word. Thank you for making it possible for us to get a comfortable nights rest this evening.
