Recently I had Aboveboard Electric do a couple projects. I have an old Arts and Crafts home where some of the wiring is very old. I am satisfied with the work performed. The technicians were efficient and knowledgeable and the work went smoothly.

If you hire this company be aware that they charge $148 an hour!!! And they over charge you for the driving time for the technician. I gave 2 stars only because the tech was nice, however, he did not put down anything under his tools that he was using and got some sticky stuff on my bathroom counter that I cannot get off and put his tools all over my beautiful Afghan that was on bed in the bedroom and got black stuff all over it and I had to wash it twice! I found a good electric contractor that only charges $95 an hour and no drive time!!!

Very patient with my questions and answering me to understand. Very thorough, And the job was great. It was a very nice experience. Seriously I hope that when I have to call upon you again you send the same guy out. He was great.

The electrician was honest about his findings (cause of problem not definitely identifiable) and did a good job (fix what is probably the cause). Price was reasonable. This is the second time I’ve used Aboveboard and I will call them again when the inevitable next problem arises (weird old house).

Watch their charges on the labor! Get out a timer because they will push it as far as they can! Electrician was not even here for a full 30 mins and they charged me an hour and a half on the labor which is ridiculous even with travel time! I am willing to pay for one hour labor which is more than fair, but they would not accept that. Once again, a local resident gets cheated by unfair contractor business practices.

Shower was backing up impacting other plumbing. AboveBoard arrived within 2 hours with plumber and journeyman. Diagnosed problem(tree branch intrusion) and cleared backup.

My Wife and I had the greatest experience with Aboveboard Electric. The bid for the job on our kitchen was very reasonable and we didn"t hesitate to accept it. Rick was our electrician who did the work and we cannot say enough about his professionalism, knowledge and skill. Not only, all of that said, we felt like we made a friend. A neighbor of ours, is a retired contractor, made the referral he said Rick's quality of work and knowledge was some of the best he had ever seen. We concur whole heartedly with his assesment. The best part of working with Rick was his communications with us. He would call us and say when he would arrive and be on the job site when he said he would be.
Over all our experience with Aboveboard was excellent and actually enjoyable. Thank you so much.

The office staff was trying so hard for us. Being shorthanded and coming up on the weekend was a double whammy. They handled my phone calls so well and never did I think I was a bother like I have felt from other companies in the past. They came out as soon as they could and got us up and going. They explained what happened in terms that I could understand without making me feel like they were talking down to me. They were very professional. Given how many times we have needed them, I would recommend them any and everytime.

The service I received was very positive. The gentlemen were kind and very efficient. The price of the cadet inserts were rather high, but it was much easier than being going out and purchasing myself.

Rick is phenomenal! So professional and incredibly knowledgeable. Was able to diagnose the problem and order a replacement and fix my attic vent fan. Holly was so patient in preparing the proper invoices to submit to my home warranty. I will certainly be using them again and referring to them.

We have always been happy with the electrical work Aboveboard has done for us. They do a great job of making repairs, replacing or updating old fixtures, and even rewiring work.

Aboveboard has been awesome to work with. They have been super communicative, and keep us up to date with all of the work being done. They have also gone above and beyond to work with us about the details of the work, and letting us know options where they arrive (as well as answering my many questions). Would definitely recommend!

We’ve had two electricians out for bids to install a special outlet for my EV (220?) they were scheduled weeks out and then never sent us a bid. We were about to call someone in the valley when a friend recommended Aboveboard Electric. I wish I had called them first! Now in addition to the outlet in our garage we needed a 110 installed in our kitchen as we are converting to a gas range. When Tom & Anthony arrived they explained that once the 220 in the kitchen was switched to a 110 I wouldn’t be able to use my stove until the new range was delivered and installed. Which was scheduled more than a week later. They arranged to come out first thing on the morning of the delivery so I wouldn’t be without a way to cook for my family. I’ll admit I was worried that they might not come back based on my previous experience. But true to their word, they called the night before to make sure I still needed them & arrived first thing in the morning on the day of delivery. Talk about service! They did a wonderful job, were quick and my new outlets are perfect. I will be using them in the future and will recommend them to anyone needing a great local company to work with.
