Annie was able to squeeze us in and help us get our yard looking amazing to help sell our house! We loved the work so much we almost had second thoughts about selling :). She worked with our budget and timeline and the finished project was absolutely perfect! We were so lucky to be able to have her expertise on this project, we definitely know it helped with the final sale of our house. Looking forward to getting her to our new place to help us make our backyard dreams come true!

Annie completely transformed our front yard’s garden! She created a beautiful design and truly put our vision to life. The process was super quick and easy. The plant selection process was very straightforward, and Annie thoughtfully took into account all our requests. If you’re looking for someone to upgrade your garden through design and execution, Annie is your person!

We have used Garden Design PDX a number of times in the last year. Annie has been wonderful to work with, and has been very responsive to our needs. Most of our work has been ongoing landscape maintenance focused on general weeding, pruning and dividing bulbs, and making our drip irrigation system actual work. Annie can do it all, and our yard looks a lot better as a result!

Annie at PDX Garden Design is so wonderful to work with! I needed some help designing a front garden bed that would look good within its existing borders, but also be able to transition/blends in to a future full yard xeriscape plan in several years. Annie took the time to talk with me about design aesthetic, plant preferences, color preferences, and overall ease-of-care. She was excellent and timely at responding and very easy to work with. She also went above and beyond, sketching out a mock-up of what the final design would look like, which was so very helpful for me in finalizing details. In addition to our front yard garden bed, I am planning to work with her on a full back yard plan in the next year or so. Highly highly recommend Annie for any design/landscaping needs!

Annie exceeded our expectations designing our overgrown background landscaping. We had a very vague idea of what we wanted our finished project to look like, and she brought it to life better than we imagined. Throughout the entire project, she was incredibly communicative and responsive, going back and forth making changes to ensure we were happy with everything. Her knowledge and suggestions on what to plant to ensure variety in seasonal blooming was incredible. We will absolutely be using Annie again when we're ready to tackle our next landscape project.

A damaged foundation, work improperly done, also cracked my driveway with a vehicle in the progress. Will not recommend.

Water rerouted from their work flooded our foundation. Driveway was cracked when their trucks delivered material.

We had the great fortune of working with Annie at Garden Design PDX. She redesigned and completed the work on our front and side yards. She was able to figure out what plants we could keep, what needed to be moved, what would be good additions, and what we would need for irrigation. Annie has a wonderful knowledge of native plants and has connections to places to source these. She is flexible in her approach, and in our case (with our very limited gardening knowledge and lack of time to garden), we were happy to be pretty hands-off. Annie did all the design, labor, and picking up plants herself, which was amazing and made things very straightforward. She has continued to come by and do some maintenance/updates to our yard. We hope to work with her again on our back yard. She is very professional, reasonably priced, and just an all-around lovely person - would highly recommend :)

We loved working with Annie! She was really friendly and knowledgeable. She listened to what we wanted and she came up with a great design for our front yard that matched our needs. She was available to respond to questions we had about the plants for our yard, and even went above and beyond to recommend a tree for an area of our yard that was outside of the scope of the original project. We'd highly recommend her!!!

Annie at Garden Design PDX is a total delight to work with & was so great at listening to our needs & desires for landscape design & installation, including a drip irrigation system. Overall, her expertise & professionalism saved us precious time & indecision, and created two beautiful, easily-managed landscaped areas on our property. From the beginning, design layout and consulting of various plantings that would would for our yard, through the work she completed, Annie did an amazing job! She was communicative of the schedule, whether things were starting early or had to be postponed. Great experience working with her and you can really tell she cares about what she is doing and the community around her!

Working with Annie and her crew was a delight. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, except get rid of the lawn and plant drought
resistant, native plants. Annie came up with the design, was an excellent communicator and showed up when she said she would to complete the job. Her crew was easy-going and professional. I will definitely be calling her when I get to the next side of my yard. It looks great and soon my water bill won't be as expensive.

Annie with Garden Design worked miracles in our yard. We recently bought the house and the yard was just dirt and weeds. I had big dreams of a beautiful garden but felt overwhelmed and had no idea where to start. Annie suggested appropriate plants based on sun requirements and my requested style. She created a beautiful design for our large backyard, front yard, and also a flower and veggie garden. It was a lot of blank space to fill, and she came up with a design that added beauty and year-round color to our yard and was able to stay within our budget. Annie also did all the planting! It happened to be a terribly cold, rainy week in April, but Annie worked nonstop in the torrential downpour to get all our new plants in the ground. She’s a very hard worker and was very patient with all my questions and changing my mind several times throughout the process. I’m very grateful for all the plant knowledge she shared and I love our garden design! It brings me so much joy everyday. Thank you, Annie!

I am so thankful to have found Annie and Garden Design PDX to convert our grass lawn biological wasteland into a flower and food filled paradise for people, pollinators, and birds. Garden Design was able to accommodate my limited budget and delivered the work on time according to schedule. The transformation within a week was incredible. I had no idea how much work went into converting lawn into habitat -- truck after truck pulled up with gravel, soil, compost and mulch while Annie and the hard-working crew trucked it all in wheelbarrows from the front curb to the back yard. They even let me work along side them, which was a great opportunity for me to learn more about the plants and how to care for them. The best bonus was being able to support a small, local, woman-owned business. Following installation, Garden Design PDX have been great about answering questions and following up some additional plants as they became available.

Their expertise in planting a very large tree was impressive and the crew obviously enjoyed working together and doing a great job. They installed an affordable irrigation timer and soaker hose system which many installers don’t do. I will refer SE Portland installation work to them again. Annie gave us a great design for our backyard. It was covered in weeds and didn't have good dirt. She pulled all the weeds and had a truck bring new dirt. She listened to what we liked and planted a wonderful selection of plants. She and Liz were out there on a very wet day putting plants into the right spots. She was easy to contact and replaced a couple of plants. I highly recommend her!!!!

Annie was great to work with. We felt taken care of as she was very responsive to our questions and needs. Her attention to detail was impeccable, and I think the yard looks fantastic as a result. It's been a joy to see the new plants and trees grow over the past couple of months. Our neighbors have also shared many compliments about the new design.  Highly recommend!

Annie and her crew are absolute superheroes. They tackled my front lawn overhaul with grit, speed, and serious skill—working Monday through Friday, rain or shine, without missing a beat.
