Have lived in NE Portland for six years and have been shopping here almost from the start. I always go here first. Even though it is a neighborhood nursery it has excellent inventory and I rarely have to look elsewhere. Friendly, expert garden advice (instead of a sales pitch). Quality throughout.

I loved this store and was so excited to go in and get some new plants today when we were told at the door we couldn’t go in because my daughter is under 13. My daughter was wearing a mask and having been in the pandemic for over a year now understands the new rules of social distancing, hand sanitizing and any other rules a store may implement. Its so disappointing that a store would have such an unfriendly policy!

Wonderful local garden center. Lately they've been very good about identifying plants not treated with neonics, a particularly toxic insecticide. The "bee friendly" info keeps expanding. They also have a marvelous selection of tomato starts. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Garden Fever is a huge plus for the neighborhood.

Came here and saw a lot of selections for gardening and plants. I admire the set up inside and outside. Hope to check again when Spring comes (couple of weeks)

I went to Garden Fever for the first time today. Wow! Amazing store and staff! Looking forward to visiting again. After just one visit I can honestly say this has been the most reasonable plant store I have visited in Portland.
    Great prices and selection.

Really lovely selection of indoor and outdoor plants and plant accessories. Their prices are reasonable and they are doing a good job ensuring social distancing is possible and actually happening in the store. I'll definitely be coming back!

This place has an amazing selection for its size. Plenty of indoor and outdoor plants, decorations, and tools. I've only bought small indoor plants here but they're very healthy and happy. There is a great selection of little pots, from inexpensive clay or recycled materials to unique artistic ones.

This is a new find for me, and I will be back!Everyone was sooo helpful and the varieties of vegys and herbs is pretty fantastic.

Great selection of plants/pots and everything in between. Prices seemed to be pretty decent as well. The rude and passive aggressive staff are another thing. I didn’t see the mask sign and was glared at by a store worker when I asked to put a plant aside. If you wanted me to wear a mask in your store then why not just ask instead of being rude and passive aggressive. Will not be returning.

I've been to Garden Fever! twice now—once when the shop was very quiet and almost empty, and again when it was positively bustling with customers—and had a wonderful experience both times. As someone entirely new to plant care, the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, helping me to understand which plants would suit my botanical ignorance. I plan on coming back here to fulfill ALL my garden needs.

Great organization and an awesome selection of outdoor plants. We also found great potting options — way more than your standard hardware store garden center. Friendly, helpful people will help you pick soil mixes as you check out, too!

Great urban nursery with plenty of gardening supplies, kind people, and healthy, beautiful plants. Small natives section for those aiming for certification.

First time going here and I love it. So much awesome local or environmentally friendly pots and pottery. A lot of different plants all around to look at and they look really healthy from my quicker look. Some outdoor furniture but not much. They have outdoor and indoor plants. Right now (February) they have some berry plants and spring flowers. I will be recommending and visiting here again.

Garden Fever is my favorite urban nursery. Love the selection of high quality veggie plants and herbs and unique flowers, shrubs, and vines. Oh, and a good selection of succulents and ground covers. Besides the nice quality plants, their pots, garden ornaments, furniture, cookbooks, and many other specialty items are always fun and interesting to browse.
Because of Covid-19, my friend and I made individual appointments online, received email confirmations, and were allotted 30 min in the store/nursery to ensure social distancing. We wore masks and all staff had masks. An employee met us at the door and went over their rules/requests to keep everyone safe while shopping.
30 min is never enough time there, but the staff was quick to help us and having a list of items we wanted helped us stay on track and within our 30 min appointment.
I always highly recommend Garden Fever to anyone looking for good quality and selection of plants and garden supplies and decor. Prices may run slightly higher but the quality is definitely worth it. Hope you love this place as much as I do.

I bought a Dwarf Ginko tree here….it looked dormant and I thought it would start to grow soon. It didn’t because it was dead when I bought it. I looked with a looking glass but nothing green ever appeared. They would not refund a dime! They did not give credit for another plant either. They said I must have killed it and it probably was my fault it died. I couldn’t believe it…..so obviously dead when purchased. I am really really upset at their customer service.
In addition they are extremely expensive…..I was actually shocked at their prices. Much high than Portland Nursery. For instance a simple clear plastic saucer for under plants was $4.95 there and I could get 5 for the same on Amazon or 1.95 at another nursery.
I suppose they are so expensive being in a very nice neighborhood they think they can gouge the locals. I wouldn’t walk across the street to buy there.
THIS NURSERY IS A TOTAL RIPOFF! Drive a few more blocks to Portland Nursery.

I came here to find a card and seeds to send a thank you card for someone. They were able to help me decide from different kinds of seeds based of the location of where I was sending them.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Beautiful selection of plants , gardening tools, pots, hanging baskets, seeds, 🌱 books, shoes, and more! If you shop here go to Lucca’s next door for lunch.

Everything you need for your garden and more. A little slice of heaven on a busy city street corner. Great selection of plants! We bought enough to fill four containers for now. Coming back soon. 🌷🌺🌸🌹🌼🌿
