Davey's did a terrible hack job on our magnolia tree and didn't clean up properly afterwards. I wouldn't recommend them to pick weeds out of the garden.

I had a pine tree that was turning yellow and I was worried it may have had a disease. Terry came out and was very helpful in assessing it and what to do. Would highly recommend, will recommend them to all friends/family for tree work.

Our family has used them for years. They are a tad spendy, but they do excellent work and are very reliable and able to fit you into their busy schedule.

Davey Tree Expert Company has taken care of my trees and shrubs for over a decade. They have always been on time and finished on time. The men in the crews are skilled and answer any questions I have. I think their prices are reasonable and I recommend the Davey Company to my friends.

Great crew, did a very good job on the whole property, they had to deal with different trees, shrubs and kept everything super clean! They were even able to fertilize and keep our trees healthy. We will not only use them again, but highly recommend them.

I cannot say enough positive words about Terry Brier and the very professional people at Davey Tree, Portland, Oregon. Our local Forestry Department issues tree removal permits conservatively. The utility companies were not interested in taking down the wind-damaged tree, saying, if the tree falls in the street, then we will clean it up. Terry got the necessary permit for us - no charge - and coordinated the removal. The two employees who removed the pine tree were pros! Like acrobats performing a high-wire act, they drew a small crowd on on-lookers over the day. They let the wrok site neat and clean! Terry later got the stump ground and then came back tomake sure the grinfding removed anough of the stump so I could plant the city-reqrueid replacement tree. The new street tree is in the ground and IF in 100 years it need replacing, I will call Davey, from my grave, if necessary.

I Hired the Portland Davey team to remove a fairly large tree in my back yard. The prices were great, the team showed up on time and clean up was spectacular. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Call Davey Tree experts if you want to pay WAY more than necessary. Terry Brier gave me a quote that was about $20,000 higher than 4 other licensed, bonded and insured arborists. I went with another company and was very happy to pay $5,400 in stead of Terry's suggested $26,500. Get multiple quotes and shop around before settling for someone dishonest.

What is it about this co. if i have a concern and call they pass the buck to someone that never call back and then they keep you from calling back by blocking your numbers!!? all i was trying this co. to do was come back and look at the 3 trees they were to trim and see if this crew did the job right as i feel that the trees still need some work and i get crickets and now Blocked from call this co. wow sad way to do business customer service women can be really Rude!! short and very unpolite with no people skills wow!!

Do NOT use Davey’s Tree. I employed them several years ago to treat a tree that was sick. Unfortunately, the treatment they used did not work. I was fine with that because sometimes that is how things go. They recommended we continue to try the treatment (a chemical pour on) but I declined. I did not want to continue using it if it didn’t seem to work. It was expensive and I try not to use chemicals on my lawn. I thought that would be the end of it…
Here is where the problem started.
Since that time (2+ years), they have continued to HARASS me and send me emails and mailings regarding the planned treatments. I just received another email stating that “my scheduled treatment is tomorrow “ and that they will be out to do it! I have not scheduled ANY treatments for years!
I have called the company and written two letters asking them to stop! This is either a fishing scam or entrapment or both! Harassment at the very least! I strongly caution anyone from working with this company!

Shout out to Marco, Anna and Jairo from The Davey Tree Expert Company. My neighbor had their tree trimmed but they had to use my landing pad in the yard. They were so respectful of my space. I wish I would have gotten names as I offered up my bathroom and a young gal came to use it, I just cleaned up my home, she took her shoes off, introduced herself to the dogs and was very respectful. We even had a short conversation. The two men were also super respectful and even left the part of my yard they used in better shape then when they got here. I know who to call next summer when I need my trees pruned! The Davey Tree Expert Company You have some excellent workers they most definitely deserve a raise!

Highly recommend. Highly. I'm a general contractor and professional project manager. Terry and Michael gave me their full attention and got our work done and on a tight timeline. With their highly skilled crew and its leader Doug, they managed the removal of our 2 very difficult mature trees - upwards of 100' on a residential street - It's rare to see this level of competence and bravery. I'm hiring them for all our future tree work and care.

We didn't ask or pay them to do any work. They didn't notify us of any upcoming work in the area, and I saw them walking through my yard. I asked what they were doing, they said they were doing work for either a power or comms company, though they weren't sure which. They told me my driveway and yard seemed like public access. They were respectful and nice when I talked to them, but the whole experience was very uncomfortable.

Terry came to our residence today to evaluate two of our trees. He was on time for the scheduled appt and explained what our trees needed and why. Super knowledgeable and was very hands on with pruning demonstration and how this affects future growth.
