Constraction reviews in Salem, Oregon

Derek is always very thorough and communicates well with my buyers. He is good at keeping us posted on any issues that come up without alarming and scaring them.

These guys deserve 10 stars! Exceptional customer service , knowledgeable and very thorough inspector and lightening fast response time.
We are purchasing our first home and I felt pretty stressed once we got our offer accepted to the next step in finding a knowledgeable inspector. I contacted multiple companies for quotes and honestly felt alittle panicked.
Marie from pillar to post was immediate to return my call and was kind and patient. She had appointment availability within 2 business days and quoted a very fair price. In addition , she had given me multiple appointment options immediatly which was very convenient and exactly what I needed. By far the best customer service around. ( for reference , 2 of the many other companies I called didn’t even return my calls, 3 were booked out 2-3 weeks , and one didn’t even accept phone call appointments!)
Marie won me over from the start . Communication was a breeze and she was quick to respond to questions I had after scheduling.
While I wasn’t able to be their for inspection , my partner and agent met with our inspector Derek for the full inspection. Derek was reported to be very kind, patient , knowledgeable And extremely thorough and really went the extra mile for us. He left some very great information on the professional full report binder we received in hand , and we also received an electronic copy within the hour after departure. This will help us make the right decision on our purchase.

Thanks again guys! You are rock stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Derek was prompt and thorough in his inspection of my clients' pending home. He was clear and educating in his recommendations for repairs and things to keep an eye on regarding the health and condition of the property. He is a one-stop shop for sewer scopes, radon and home inspections. That makes it easy to get all the information in quickly and succinctly. Would highly recommend Derek and Marie.

I had a great experience with Derek. He was kind, courteous, and professional. He did such a thorough inspection, and went over each concern with me. He made sure that I didn't have any questions before he moved on to the next item. I would definitely recommend Pillar to Post to anyone.

William Johnson Jr has been phenomenal to work with. He was incredibly patient and educational with me as a first time home buyer. I even had a follow up call with him to better understand the report provided and he made time after hours on the weekend to connect with me. Highly recommend!

Great to work with from start to finish. Excellent customer service from the office to the Inspector. The report is clear and thorough. Highly recommend.

They were fantastic! Friendly, efficient, unbiased and professional. My inspector's name was WIlliam and he did such an amazing job. I am a first time homebuyer wit this house and i know NOTHING about ANYTHING. after getting my comprehensive list from Pillar to Post with detailed observations and recommendations, I feel way more confident about my transaction. My favorite part was getting a virtual tour of the house along with blueprints with ceiling heights, meaning we can accurately plan for what we would want to do to the house before we move and we can show it to our friends and family as if they were there.

Derek and his associate were not only on time but a few minutes early. The inspection seemed very thorough and not rushed. The discussion after was very enlightening with several good suggestions. I am always impressed that the notebook/documentation is delivered on spot and that the emailed reports are sent in such a timely manner. This is the 3rd time our family has used Pillar to Post, if the need arises we will do so again. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We used William for our first home purchase inspection. So thankful to be able to trust the integrity and knowledge behind the report for the largest transaction of our lives. My fiance was unable to attend the inspection, but William was kind enough to offer meeting up with us both in person the next day to go over the report and ensure all our questions were answered. I highly recommend this company for your home inspections!!

Derek was prompt and professional. I would recommend him highly.

Really great inspection experience. William was amazingly thorough and patiently explained everything to me. I feel so much more confident in my purchase and ability to maintain the property moving forward.

Excellent Home Inspection & Report by Derek Renz, Pillar to Post on 3/6/2026!

All the technicians at Pillar to Post, who I call on a regular basis, are excellent. William, Jordan, and Derek are very professional and do a great job of preparing the Inspection Reports and explaining them to my buyers. I'm also particularly pleased that they're normally available, with one of their technicians, with fairly short notice. Top notch bunch of folks!

Pillar to Post was professional and knowledgeable with our home inspection. They were easy to communicate with and their response time was very quick. I would recommend them if you’re in need of an inspection.

Derek was very thorough and even provided a video summary highlighting the main issues since we could not be there in person. The report that followed was clear, contained photos and detailed descriptions of issues along with his opinion of long term effects if issues were not resolved.

Derek did such an amazing job on inspecting the house. He’s very thorough and professional with his work. Will definitely be looking forward to working more with him in the future.

Our inspector William, was kind, patient, and professional. He was very thorough in his report and all communication with us, and went above and beyond what was expected. He provided us with the information we needed to make a wise decision about the property, and was very clear that he was working in our best interest. I would strongly recommend Pillar to Post to anyone who is looking to make a home purchase decision. Thank you again for excellent customer service and for providing peace of mind to us.

Derek was great. Appreciated the attention to detail and thoughtfulness during the inspection. Derek addressed my concerns and walked me through the report while onsite. We opted for the additional Radon testing; the supplement report was delivered promptly upon completion. Would recommend.

I was impressed by how quick, yet thorough, Derek and his extra help was for my home inspection. I am loving the organized and thoughtful binder delivery method to house the completed report. Derek is very personable and I recommend his company for any home inspections you need. Thank you so much for giving me peace of mind in my new home!
