This home inspection was very thorough which is good because I don't know much about homes. The things the guy found are going to save us thousands of dollars. He explained everything in a way that I could understand even though he was very knowledgeable about his job. This is the second inspection I've had with Pillar to Post and both times I had a very good experience. I would suggest using this company to any of my friends and family. Somebody smart told me that the only person that truly works for you in a real estate transaction is your inspector, I felt that he took every bit of his commitment to me to heart.

Very professional inspection, walked us through the major things to be aware of without creating fear, and we got a fast inspection report.

The initial experience seemed fine. However, I've had multiple plumbing failures in the first week of me moving in to my new house that will require expensive repairs. I would have thought some of these failures would have been detected with the inspection. My hvac system didn't even have an air filter in it, but my inspection noted that the unit was operable and serviceable. My water heater wasn't functional but the inspection said it was. The sewer pump was inoperable and needed immediate replacement. A toilet was inoperable and required internal repairs to be functional again. Multiple plumbers verified that a home inspection should have caught these issues.

I was very happy with the home inspection service provided by Derek and his colleague. They were thorough, efficient, and friendly. Online scheduling was quick and easy. I was provided a detailed report, which included recommendations for repairs needed, and expectations for replacements/repairs, based on age of appliances and such. When they were unable to complete a sewer scope, due to a blockage, they removed that service from the bill (even though they had attempted to scope it). I was very pleased, and recommend them.

Deen is a lifesaver! My pellet stove in my she shed stopped working and he came out promptly to discover that 2 birds had made it down the stove pipe! He cleaned it and got it working again. 2 weeks later, it happened again. I was planning a family birthday party the next weekend and had no heat! Deen was able to squeeze me in his schedule to come out the day before the party. He installed a fitted screen and got it working again just in time. No more bird problems!
