Tree reviews in Salem, Oregon

I am very pleased with the outcome of the service I received from Capitol Tree Service. I contacted Jose and he was able to come out within a few days. He was on time and professional and answered all of my questions. We scheduled for him to come back later that week then he called and asked if he could come a day earlier. Of course I said yes! My husband was really impressed when he got home from work and saw the drastic change to our backyard. Jose and his crew cleaned up very well. I highly recommend Capitol Tree Service. You won't be disappointed.

We hired Capitol Tree Service this Fall to trim our large arborvitae hedge and prune some ornamental pear trees.

Jose was both prompt and personable when he came out to look over the job and provide us with a reasonable and competitive price for the work.

Once on-site and as scheduled Jose and his crew were polite, professional and hardworking. They diligently completed all the work and clean-up as discussed and agreed upon in a timely manner.

If you want good value for your money and an honest hard working operator and crew you won't go wrong with this team!

We are very happy and satisfied with the work and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or rehire CTS in the future!

Jose thank you and your crew for a job well-done!

Several of our neighbors have used Capitol Tree Service, and recommended them to us. So. when we were ready to have the "widow makers" in several of our trees removed, and have three trees removed, and another one looked at to see if it needed to be removed too, we called Jose. He took the time to look at the health of the fourth tree and let us know that it was fine. Jose, and his crew, were here on time and quickly started to work on removing the trees. They not only removed the two widow makers we already spoke about, but also took down others we had not seen before. All wood rounds were moved into piles, not left scattered about. they did a fantastic job cleaning up when they were finished. When we need a tree service company, in the future, we'll be calling Jose at Capitol Tree Service.

We were so impressed with Capitol Tree Service. We had several companies come out and give us quotes and timelines for the removal of several trees on our property and not only was Jose's quote one of the best, they were also able to get the job done sooner. Once at our home they were on time, fruendly and courteous and incredibly tidy -their clean-up was fantastic! We have used other tree companies in the past and I have never been more impressed than we are with Jose and his crew. 5 stars! We will use again and recommend to everyone!

Jose came out right away to give an estimate. He was the most professional and reasonably priced out of the other companies we contacted. I so preferred his professionalism!

I want to thank Jose and his partner for doing amazing work. They not only removed the tree, chipped excess branches, removed wood, AND also blew the leaves that were all over our yard prior to their arrival into manageable piles along our fence line.

We needed two trees trimmed at another site and wasn't for sure is Jose would be able to do it right away. Jose followed me to the secondary site, gave me an estimate and completed this job directly after finishing the first!!!

We HIGHLY recommend Jose, and will call again for our tree needs

I just had Capitol Tree Service remove some very large cherry trees from my backyard. They are quick, professional, and do a great job. I highly recommend them for any tree servicing you may need. The owner, Jose, is very friendly and easy to work with!

Jose and his crew did a FANTASTIC job! We have an old tree in the front of our house that needed some branches taken off to open up the front of the house more and because they were low to the roof. He got that done quickly, safely, and cleanly. They also ground out a few small tree stumps, and trimmed up our arborvitae. They did an amazing job cleaning up after each job was done. Jose's customer service is top notch. We will continue to use this business for our future needs, and HIGHLY recommend Capitol Tree Service to anyone!

Jose is a skilled tree professional. He is personable, does excellent work, and at a very reasonable price. They removed a large tree that was only two and one half feet from our house, overhanging our roof, and the work was completed with exceptional care and precision. They were on time as scheduled and left the area clear of wood debris. We would not hesitate to recommend that everyone include Capitol Tree Service when seeking estimates for residential tree work.

Our experience with Capitol Tree Service was phenomenal. I contacted several companies to get bids and Capitol Tree Service had the best prices. Jose and his team removed two trees from our yard as well as trimmed two massive maples. They did exactly what we contracted them to do, they were punctual, incredibly hard working and cleaned up everything as they went. We had a great experience using them, and would highly recommend to anyone looking to have work done.

I had a real positive experience with Capitol Tree Service. I was able to quickly schedule an appointment for an estimate to clean up and rehabilitate a neglected and freeze damaged arborvitae hedge. Jose and his crew were able to work my project into their schedule two weeks after the initial appointment, they arrived on time, quickly got to work and did a very good job removing freeze damages branches and removing old deadwood. They were careful not to damage shrubs and plants in front of the hedge and they did a thorough job on cleaning up when they were done. I will definitely contact Capitol Tree Service again.

José was prompt with all of his communication. He was able to come bid our job quickly, and his bid was very reasonable. He was also able to come out and complete the work in less than a week. He and his team shaped our unruly spruce, took down a diseased photinia, and cleaned their way out. Two weeks later, we asked José if he would sell us mulch leftover from his jobs, and the next day he delivered a truck full of mulch at no charge! We would highly recommend working with Capitol Tree Service, and we will be calling them for all of our future tree care.

Our oak tree in our backyard had a huge branch that broke off and was dangerously hanging. Jose came out the day after we called him to give an estimate. He arrived to do the job 5 days later. My wife and I were amazed to watch him go to work. He had all the right equipment to do the job safely. Jose climbed up the tree like Spiderman! It was a pleasure to have him over. Jose was social and professional. The price for the job was reasonable. We highly recommend Capitol Tree Service. Jose is our go-to tree arborist.

Our family recently hired Capitol Tree Service to trim two trees in our backyard. These trees had needed maintenance for a long time and we couldn’t be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, Capitol Tree’s expertise shone through, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free.
Jose made scheduling very easy and was quick to fit us in. His attention to detail was evident and he was extremely efficient. He and the other Capitol Tree employee worked diligently and removed all of the debris from trimming. I think they actually left the backyard cleaner than they found it!
The results speak for themselves—our trees look absolutely amazing and we’re so grateful that we hired Capitol Tree. Overall, I can't recommend them highly enough. Their professionalism, expertise, and dedication to customer satisfaction truly set them apart. If you're in need of top-notch tree trimming services, look no further. They exceeded my expectations in every way and we’ll hire them again in the future.
Another note : We met Jose (the owner) for the first time when he came to trim our trees and we think he is one of the kindest humans ever. Our son has special needs and wanted to introduce himself. Jose was incredibly gracious about taking time to chat with our son in a very genuine way.

Great job on my 90ft oak tree in back yard. Jose was very experienced and knowledgable about removing this overgrown tree. I would recommend Capitol Tree Service to anyone that wants an expert job done on tree removal.

Jose came to my property to drop off 6-7 yards of bark chips. I'm really thrilled with the chips I received, I use them for my pathways as well as for bedding for my pigs, chickens and garden beds. When I messaged Jose, he responded right away and delivered the bark chips the same day! Jose was super friendly and personable, and as the first contact I've had with this company I've got to say, "I love Capitol Tree Service!"

Jose was so friendly and quick to help us when we had a tree split and fall in our front yard. They were out here with a crew the same day and got everything taken care of quickly and cleanly. Thank you!

Don’t hesitate to get a bid and hire them! Great job!!!
They took a 40-45 foot maple down, it was wide with tons of branches. Dropping them easy with out damage to any of our shrubs, they cleaned up the yard and leaves no mess. These are the hardest working men We've seen. Not only fast, but they care and appreciate your business. Two men did the work of 4 men.

Jose gave me a quote online to remove some lower branches on our very large, old bigleaf maple - knowing he’d have to actually climb up into the tree to saw, as well as dispose of some bigger limbs, his estimate was exactly what I assumed the job would cost. He fit me into his schedule a week later, and on the day showed up with his crew on time (early even, which was great for me), and got to work right away. The total time from arrival, to cleaning up, and then payment was a little less than an hour. He did exactly what I asked. I’d definitely use this company again.

Really nice people and they did a great job!

I recently had Jose and his crew trim 4 large firs and 3 large oaks for me. They did a great job shaping up these trees and getting rid of the dead wood. Their price was very reasonable considering the amount of work involved.

The owner and his staff were very friendly and professional. They did an outstanding job of cleaning up my worksite after all the work was done. They were even nice enough to stack my rounds in my woodshed for me after they cut them: Boy what a nice touch!

Today they are back cutting a large oak down for me, as Jose discovered that this tree was too rotted to be safe to leave up any longer. Again, I thought that the cost for the work, given the amount of work involved, was quite reasonable.

I would give these guys a hearty recommendation! Nice to work with, great cleanup, and 1st rate work!

Capitol tree was on time for our initial estimate meeting, the company owner José, did a great job explaining what needed to get done and provided me a reasonable quote. I also got quotes from 5 other tree services! He offered a great price for one tree to be removed and matched the price of another company for my second tree. Best part they were able to do the job on my timeline! The crew showed up on time, did a great job worked hard and cleaned up my yard before they left. We were so pleased with their work that we scheduled them for a second job.... bottom line is I never have to look for another tree or stub service...I just need to call Capital Tree Service to get the job done!!

I was completely blown away by Capitol Tree Service (Jose). Within 3 hours of requesting services on a Saturday afternoon through Yelp, Jose promptly contacted me, arrived at my home and removed a large broken limb hanging from a tree that could have easily damaged my siding if it had fallen. Capitol Tree Service also removed a large fallen limb and cleaned up the debris on my back patio. Jose’s service was prompt & efficient at more than a fair price. My interactions with Jose were very pleasant as I found him to be very friendly & professional. I strongly recommend Capital Tree Service.
