I was having a difficult time finding Oregon installers who could make repairs to my seven year old SunPower array. The companies listed on the SubPower website didn’t do residential repair, were based miles away and didn’t want to put their techs on the road for hours or, in one case, was no longer in business. Very frustrating.

The fourth and final installer listed was Earthlight of Silverton. Lucky for me, I was put in touch with Aaron Eddy. He listened to my issue, assured me he could solve the problem and was at my doorstep within five working days with the replacement parts he needed. In just a couple of hours, Aaron changed out the damaged component, updated the appropriate firmware, dealt with SunPower tech support to ensure my system warranty covered the parts and labor, and turned over a full-up array.

Aaron did an excellent job getting my system back on line. He actually spent more time on the road to and from my house than he did on the repair. It is nice to work with professionals!

The entire process was efficient, prompt and as expected. I was kept informed every step of the way and we are now paying the minimum fees to PGE. Their proposal was accurate, and they did not make any false promises. Customer service has been beyond expectations. An excellent company to do business with. I have referred them to a neighbor and they are also very pleased.

The people are really great to work with and the installation was top notch. Let me tell you about the Powerwall...the battery detects when a weather system may affect a potential power outage and preserves power for you home. A day before we had the cold, ice storm, we had a very bright sunny day and the battery charged to 100%+ and was actually giving back to the grid. It then detected the severe change in weather and held that power (it did not automatically feed to back into the home) in case there was an outage. Likewise, when we had a high wind advisory, it pulled power from the grid to fully charge the battery in case there was a power outage from a downed power line. How good is that?!

Earthlight is amazing to work with. If you are considering going with solar these are the folks to do it with. The prices are very reasonable, the products they use are really high quality, and their communication and speed of getting everything done is stellar...I can't say enough good stuff about these guys (and no, I haven't been compensated at all for this glowing review lol).

They provided a detailed and reasonable breakdown on the steps of the whole process (site visit, permitting, installation, energization, etc.), but everything got done even faster than that due to how on the ball they are. I also had them install the needed breakers and electrical work for a planned future EV charging port and a heatpump hybrid electric water heater, the premium for having them do this was very reasonable and they were able to do it the same day as the installation of the solar without more permit headaches.

Everyone involved did exactly what they said they would do. The estimate they gave me for my future PGE bill was right on the money. I have been saving money since the first day the system was activated. There were a couple of minor glitches and the technicians arrived within a day or so and fixed the problem.
Stacey from Silverton was awesome! She was the first person I spoke to and the last. Everything she said came true. We had great installers, great electricians, and great troubleshooters.
In this day and age of overpromise; I can assure you, with this crew, promises made are promises kept. What a fantastic company. They should sleep well at night knowing they have made people's lives better.

If i could rate them any higher i would. They have been amazing at responding and addressing any issues i had with my panels, and have been great to work with. If you have having any panel issues i definitely recommending calling them first, especially if you have Sunpower panels!

I recently had to do some work on my roof and had my panels removed by another company, when came time to get them put back on i had some difficulty and ended going with Earthlight as they were the most responsive and reasonable. i even had some issues with reports on power generation and they quickly found the issue and scheduled a time to come out and fix it - no cost!

I honestly can't say enough good things about the folks from Earthlight in Silverton. We had planned for solar panels when we rebuilt our roof this summer, but really didn't know much about how to go about doing it. We did a lot of Googling, and had one slightly scammy company show up at our door, then decided to talk to Paula from Earthlight. She was amazing, shared tons of information, and didn't even want an answer the same day. She made us sleep on it, and that is exactly the perfect thing to do.

Everyone we encountered after that meeting was just as informative, kind, patient, and great at staying in communication. We never felt like we had to wonder what was going to happen next. We'd particularly like to acknowledge Paula, Maya, Charles, Merissa, Aaron, Tyler, and Scott. They took the time to answer all of our questions, in person, over the phone, by text, and email. We had lots of questions and concerns, and were never made to feel like we were wasting their time.

Now we have a big, beautiful, working solar array on our roof, and we are sending power to the grid. Thanks, Earthlight for an amazing experience!

I've got two installations done by Earthlight - both were absolutly excellent managed and executed! Nice and clean installation from work of the electrician to the installation on the roof and getting the systems commissioned. Super responsive when questions come up. inspection by the county went through right away for both systems. I am a super happy customer :) go solar!

This was my second experience with Earthlight. They installed solar in 2022 and expanded the capacity in 2023. Both times they were responsive, did a quality job and there were no issues. Let's be honest: Earthlight and Sunpower likely aren't the cheapest folks around, but do you want to trust your roof to some fly-by-night operation? And the construction of the Maxeon panels (which are exclusive to Sunpower) is superior. So, I expect many years of trouble-free operation.

The entire Earthlight team did an amazing job on my solar installation, I received a terrific quote from a local vendor who used top of the line panels and inverters! One of the most frustrating parts of any improvement project is not knowing when the contractor/subcontractors will be on site and when will the work be completed this was not a problem with Earthlight! If I could give Jordan and Aaron more than five stars I would they completed the job on time and were very responsive. BTW my Sunpower system is working great and I received my first electric bill last week it was $10 and I banked over 1000 KWH for future use in just my first month, Thanks Earthlight!

I got quotes from four solar panel companies. I chose earthlight after talking with the sales person Tristan who was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions better than any of the other salespersons I talked to. It wasn't the cheapest estimate, but I felt like it was the best one given the superior quality & efficiency of the sunpower solar panels and the warranty.

The company made the entire process very smooth. From the installers, Dakota and Jeremy, to the electrician, Scott, to the office person, Maya, the communication was excellent and I felt taken care of with every step.

Our solar panels were turned on June 6th and they've been generating a lot of power ever since. I wish I could attach a screenshot that shows the app which provides all kinds of detail on my electricity use and the generation of electricity from my panels.

If you're thinking about installing solar panels, definitely give them a call. You won't regret it!
