Constraction reviews in Springfield, Oregon
-
Recent storm damage from the Jan storm in Eugene/Springfield area left us with roof damage. My insurance company contacted Belfor to come out and tarp the roof. It took almost two weeks before they called to schedule tarping our roof to prevent additional damage, meanwhile it was raining heavily. We had to hire another contracted to tarp and temporarily repair our roof. I won't use this company to do the permanent repair. They were not responsive.

I’m giving them one star because there’s not an option for no stars. They started a restoration job completely backwards, after a large tree fell on our home and displaced a family of 5 and 2 dogs. Left their equipment over two weeks ago and never scheduled for demolition. I, my husband, our contractor, and our insurance adjuster have left several messages with Amy, and never got a call back. Other staff unhelpful. Meanwhile, we’re staying in an Airbnb until they can reconstruct our home……The company lacks professionalism and communication, two very basic pillars to owning a successful business. I NEVER leave reviews, but felt very compelled to share this experience. I will ensure USAA does NOT contract with them in this area.

Requested an emergency smoke restoration service as a restaurant manager, and they came out within an hour and quickly got to work, despite the service call being outside of regular business hours. Enormous drop in smoke smell by the next morning. Their crew was friendly, professional, and worked quickly. It's clear they take their jobs seriously. Kept great lines of communication, and put a heavy emphasis on getting the job done right. Hopefully I won't need any property restoration in the future, but if I do, I will be happy to work with Belfor again.
Big shoutout to Taylor, Zeek, Miguel, and Erik for their hard work! -
We had a sizable leak in our living room that made it's way down to the garage. Marc and his team of Miguel, Ryan and Josh did an outstanding and very professional job of bringing everything back to a pristine condition. I hope we never need their services again but will certainly recommend them to any neighbors and friends that experience property damage. I can't thank them enough.

Ryan is wonderful! He worked tirelessly in the heat to complete our bathroom. It’s always an odd feeling having strangers in your home all day but Ryan didn’t make us feel like that at all! Ryans craftsmanship is excellent and his dedication to complete a job is top notch. I can’t say enough great things about Ryan! Marc was very easy to work with and goes the extra mile in communicating! He went out of his way to meet me several times to complete paperwork! Wonderful experiences from them both! Thank you Marc and Ryan!

this company is terrible to work with. Our rebuild took twice as long to finish as it should have and the product is garbage. They charged us for work and material that we provided ourselves and fought us when we pointed it out. My floor started coming up within six months of the install among numerous other issues that Belfor refuses to fix. The work is garbage to begin with and their warranty is worth even less.
Before the fire, I had a solid home that stood since the 30's, after Belfor, I'll be constantly fixing their faulty work until I sell this house. -
Belfor is a professional company offering to give you back what you lost and then some. I am very pleased with the work that was conducted due to water damage in my bathroom, which extended throughout my bedroom and walk-in closet. In particular, the mitigation team was extremely courteous and careful while packing up and boxing my things, moving furniture, etc. Also, I was impressed with how quick the demolition process took. Lastly, the restoration and repair process was made a priority in terms of getting the right materials and keeping to a tight schedule. The remodel was completed within a week and the finished product is beautiful. I am happy to have utilized Belfor from start to finish. I appreciated the professionalism and frequent communication by all crew members and project manager. Thank you!

I had Belfor out to do some insurance work for water damage at my home. Another company has done the water mitigation, and then Belfor did the repairs.
I will say that I almost gave 4 stars due to the time it took to begin the repairs, it took a couple of months to get started. However, given the timeliness once the repair did start, the end result, and the excellent communication along the way, I'm giving Belfor 5 stars.
Khayman did a great job of coordinating the repairs, which had some tricky aspects to it.
Daniel at Belfor was a great carpenter and really detail oriented in putting it all back together.
I thought Belfor did a great job, and I trust and would recommend them for construction jobs. -
Two years ago a fourplex that I own suffered an arson-caused fire that resulted in extensive damage to the building and a large insurance loss. The project was just recently completed.
Although I am a long-time remodeling contractor in town, in this case, having expert help dealing with the insurance company and the negotiation involved in getting a fair settlement was critical to the success of the project.
Denton Brown was extremely helpful in developing a repair estimate, explaining the nuances of the loss, and navigating the complex insurance decisions that were required during the course of the project. Jason Reeves, the project manager, did a great job with the rebuild. His communication was excellent and his responses were timely. I thank them both for their help in bringing this project to a successful completion. -
I don't leave a lot of reviews but feel one is necessary here now. I had a wash machine continue filling after it should have shut off. I had extensive water damage to my custom home. Hardwood floors that had to be replaced in most of the house, tile floors that had to be removed and replaced to make sure no black mold was present, multiple rooms that had to be redone. I felt overwhelmed. My insurance company contacted Belfor Properties in Springfield Oregon to do the repairs. One of their employees, Jason Reeves was assigned to oversee my repairs. If there was a rating higher than A+ I would give it to him. Their employee, Daniel did most of the repairs. If you ever need Belfor Property Restoration, try and get Daniel to do the work. He was fast, didn't cut any corners and never left a mess for me to deal with. He was always pleasant and listed to what I thought would be best for me. There were a couple of "snags" along the way but Jason handled them quickly and to my complete satisfaction. That is why the A++ for his part of the project. He was always available and only a phone call away. I could have left a short review by giving them an A+ but thought a bit more detail was needed to express how pleased I am with the final result. I can honestly recommend Belfor, without reservation, as my house was put back into before accident or better condition. Thank you again Jason and Daniel.

During a heavy rain storm in May of 2024, our home suffered water damage from our attic down through a bedroom, and into the walls of the garage. After Belfor's service, I cannot recommend them highly enough (as I have to several neighbors, friends, and colleagues)! Everyone that I spoke with on the phone was polite, respectful, and transparent--always seeking the best solution, and never out of reach. What more can you ask for than a quick response time with an informed answer! Likewise, the mitigation teams (and every member of the in-person staff) treated our home as if it were their own. They did their work with pride, going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. In scary, stressful times, you can rest assured that you are in good hands with Belfor Property Restoration.

We had a ice maker leak causing water damage in the kitchen. Befor was helpful in directing us what to do. They provided the carpenter , plumbers and floor removal services. We especially like our carpenter Miguel. He was hard working and polite. A very efficient and detailed man.

On March 16 we experienced a disastous septic system back-up into our daylight basement. About half of the living area was involved. USAA's agent referred us to Balfor for Mitigation and Restoration.
MITIGATION: The Balfor Mitigation team was on the scene within hours and efficiently dealt with the emergency. After they filtered/dried the basement they removed the affected carpet as well as the baseboard and 2 feet of drywall wherever it was touched by the contaminated water. Furniture and contents that could be salvaged were stored in an on-site POD or carefully stacked in an unaffected area.
I give Balfor's Water Mitigation team high marks. They were courteous and professional and a credit to their organization.
As distressing as the episode was we felt confident throughout that a top quality job was being done.
RESTORATION. The Construction phase of the project was under the supervision of Joe Young. Joe discussed the project with us before he started. He helped us select the paint and the carpet and the counters and the vanity. Joe is straight talking and hard working. We knew from the get go what our insurance covered and what was optional and what wasn't.
The road to reconstruction required a dozen construction teams whose arrival and work Joe masterfully orchestrated. The Drywall team came before the Texture team came before the Painters. The Carpet Layers came before the Counter Installers followed by the Plumber. Joe's assistant Dan Weaver did a masterful job of dealing with all the odds and ends that the Journeymen didn't do. He did his work cheerfully and efficiently and we were always confident that his finish work was top quality.
Working against our deadline Joe constantly reassured us that the project would be done on time. Periodically he would check the work and insist that it was be done to a high standard.
Finally...like a conductor bringing the symphony to a close Joe did a last inspection and supervised the return of our furniture and the contents of the POD.
We give Joe Young and Balfor high marks for a job well done. Having a Septic Back Up into our home of 37 years was mentally distressing for my wife and I. I credit Joe for being an always available reassuring presence.
Promises Made/Promises Kept.
Our basement is not "Like it never happened" ...It's "BETTER than before it happened".
We give Kudos to BELFOR PROPERTY RESTORATION and their Mitigation and Construction teams.

From the Project Manager, Michael, to the 2 carpenters, Miguel and Gil, these guys were amazing! The did excellent work, and worked in a very timely manner. Thank you so much for your hard work. I would recommend Belfor (especially Michael’s team) to anyone who needed work done.

We recently had a flood in our basement and Belfor was hired to mitigate and reconstruct. We worked with Joe Young and Daniel Weaver on the reconstruction. I can’t say enough about Joe who was there to soothe my anxiety and assured me almost daily that all will be well, working behind the scenes to get us the best deals and to organize the steady stream of workmen to get our basement completely reconstructed in good time. Daniel did all the woodwork besides laying tile and installing our shower door and light fixture. He is a hard worker, conscientious, and tireless, working flat out even through lunch, during the two weeks he was at our place, finishing one project after another with pride of workmanship and efficiency. He is a master of his craft.. If I could give 10 stars to Joe and Daniel, I would.

On January 10, 2023, I had water on the floors of my kitchen and laundry rooms. And the journey of property restoration began for me. Water in the “wrong” place (soaking the underlayment below my flooring) was just starting to develop mold, and I had no idea because I couldn’t see it.
My insurance company contracted with Belfor Property Restoration. It was my first time filing a claim for damage in my house and I had no idea what to expect. There are multiple crews with specific tasks. The first crew cut out flooring and holes in walls in the area to confirm the mold and how far it had traveled (thankfully NOT into my walls). They set up fans and dehumidifiers to stop the mold. The next crew removed appliances and furniture, in preparation for the final crew to complete all repairs and installation of my new flooring. And because the rest of my house was not affected by the water damage, I chose to remain living in the house throughout all phases. With the exception of the 24-hour a day “fan / dehumidifier” phase, I would make the same decision again. ;)
When the final phase arrived, I would meet Daniel Weaver. He was the entire “crew” for putting these rooms back together. One person with the skills to:
– repair, texture and paint drywall
– install new underlayment
– install new flooring (luxury vinyl tiles)
– paint and install baseboard trim after flooring installation
– reinstall pocket door and two closet doors
– set up all appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher), including water hookups where needed
These were Daniel’s “technical” skills. He was focused on each task and always in motion from start to finish each day. He described himself as a “man on a mission” and I agree.
But Daniel also possesses another skill which sets him apart in my opinion. He has “people skills.” He worked in my home for over a week so interaction was inevitable. When I had a question, he was thoughtful, always respectful, and willing to explain what needed to be done so I would understand it better. I greatly appreciated this.
Daniel’s combination of skills are the reason I’m giving a 5-star review. He earned it and he deserves it. Thank you, Daniel! -
Belfor employees arrived promptly and acted in with the utmost sympathy and respect. If a disaster were to occur...I'd be glad to see them again.

Excellent company. I need my garage side fixed. They did an excellent job Ryan and Willy were excellent to work with. After calling they worked with my insurance company. Work was completed to my satisfaction in 3 days. They are very fast and do an excellent job. I would recommend them to anyone and definitely if I need work done again I will call them first. Thank you Ryan and Willy for your excellent professionalism work and getting the job done fast.

Great experience, highly recommend. Ethan is an awesome individual and very responsive. Taylor is efficient, on-time and very nice. Miguel did an amazing job restoring and remodeling our upstairs bathroom. His 17 years of experience in the area shows. Everything from light plumbing, structural reinforcement, flooring & finishing was completed very swiftly and with positive energy. Will hire again.

Belfor Review – Outstanding Service from Start to Finish (So Far!)
Zeek led the water mitigation team and did a thorough, professional job. He explained everything clearly as the process unfolded and pointed out concerns I wouldn’t have thought of on my own — including some that the initial leak detection team had missed. His attention to detail was impressive.
The demo team, headed by Ray, was equally professional and pleasant to work with. They were flexible with start times, which I really appreciated, and they took extra care to contain the work area without dirtying or damaging anything else in the home.
Laura, my main point of contact with Belfor, has been fantastic throughout the process. She’s quick to respond to emails and has kept communication clear, fast, and accurate — which made a stressful situation much easier to manage.
So far, Belfor has done an outstanding job. If the reconstruction team is even half as good as the mitigation and demo crews, things are going to end up looking better than they did before the damage. Looking forward to seeing it all come together! -
Cary, Natalie, Dan, and crew took over after a few other local contractors fell through on getting some water damage restoration done. Very responsive team to work with, even during COVID. They efficiently coordinated changing insurance quotes and material design/purchase while giving me huge input along the way. They managed to get some great value out of the quote and expertly navigated the job as plans changed throughout. A+ on communication and quality, would use again if my kitchen flooded a second time. I wish they handled contracting jobs other than restoration.
