Tree reviews in Springfield, Oregon

I had a huge tree split in two during snowpocalypse 2019. Half of it fell in my back yard and the other part remained but needed to go. I called Doug and he had his crew over within 2 days during what was probably the busiest time of the year for them. They did an amazing job of cleaning everything up and were very reasonably priced. I would highly recommended Artistic Arborist for all of your tree needs!

We have used Doug for several years and appreciate his knowledge, expertise, and professionalism. He takes great care in his work while still being very efficient. He & his crew remove all the debris and leave the property spotless.

Doug Hornaday and his team have worked on the trees around my house multiple times and I'm always happy to see the result. I trust Doug's advice on taking care of mature fruit trees, ornamental trees, and everything else. He's extremely knowledgeable about how the trees are affecting the shade/moisture/sun around the house and which ones could be putting the structures at risk. He's always fair, easy to work with, and ends up with healthy trees in future seasons. Highly recommend.

Neighbors referred us to Doug and we’re glad they did. Doug and his crew have become caretakers of our urban forest, nurturing our young trees, prolonging life of our older ones, and doing only what’s needed. When limbs or a tree do need to come down, he and his skillful crew are a marvel to watch. He’s always happy to share his extensive knowledge, and our yard is healthier because of it. Thanks Doug!

Years ago I saw a truck with the logo "Artistic Arborist" and made a mental note. Shortly afterwards, an ice storm damaged a very large cotoneaster so I called Doug. He assured me that it would regrow and it did. In this last recent ice storm, my gorgeous camelia split and splayed open. Doug made time in his busy schedule and saved it. I was so grateful! He is a TRUE ARTIST and the only arborist I trust. I also appreciate how he answers all my questions and educates me about the proper way to care for my trees. Thank you so much, Doug! Your business name says it all!!!

Doug was professional, and incredibly efficient. My tree was down and chipped and cleaned up in record time. He went above and beyond to leave the job site clean when he was finished, and is a dude with a ton of integrity, knowledge, and work ethic . He will be my one and only call the next time I need any sort of tree or garden work done. Thanks Doug!

I will use their service again and recommend them to others. I have 5 large palm trees that had gotten too tall for us to trim. Their palm tree specialist came and did a terrific job, and educated us on how palm trees grow! Very prompt, cleaned up, and their estimate was accurate.

We have used Doug several times to trim, prune, and remove trees. He and his crew always arrive on time, discuss the project with us before starting, keep at the task, and do a great job of cleanup and hauling off the debris in a timely fashion. Doug offers info and education about tree care as needed. We would certainly recommend him and will continue to use his services in the future.

Doug and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Doug returned my messages very promptly, did a thorough review of the proposed work, was always on time and left my yard spotless after trimming tree limbs. Very pleased with his work. We highly recommend Artistic Arborist and will definitely use their services again.

Doug provided a thoughtful and complete review for the appropriate maintenance needs of my trees. His crew arrived on time, performed excellent work, and was very attentive for final cleanup. In all, Artistic Arborist provided a terrific job for a fair price. I highly recommend this company.

Professional, very knowledgeable, hard working, and trustworthy. Doug & crew finished the job in a timely manner, cleaned up on their way out, and took time to discuss our job & future needs. Another great experience with Doug's work (3rd time I have had him remove trees for me) and I will use him again in the future.

On the recommendation of my neighbors, I hired Doug Harnaday, Artistic Arborist, to cut down several dead firs along my fence and overhanging the road.
Doug and his crew did a fantastic job! They took down all the trees safely, chipped the branches into a pile, and cleaned the place so you’d never think anything had gone on there the day before.
One part I really liked is the way Doug bid the job. He is very transparent—he estimates the man-hours to do your project, and if it takes less hours he only bills for that amount. In my case, Doug and his crew were so efficient that they finished the job and were able to cut several additional trees than what we had originally planned. Doug even stayed extra to cut down a large snag.
These guys are good! They were prompt, reliable, polite, professional, and consulted with me several times as the project developed. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

I am so happy I used Artistic Arborist. Doug was great to work with. He responds quickly and is so professional. His crew did an amazing job trimming and shaping our larger trees and pruning our fruit trees. Doug clearly cares about his work. He took the time to make sure we knew what he was doing, and why, and how to keep our trees healthy and looking their best. His prices, and price structure, are also very reasonable. I will definitely be using Artistic Arborists again!

Doug and his crew have taken care of our trees for nearly 20 years now. We had them out in October and after last week's ice storm, we had no damage in our yard thanks in large part to their good work. Highly recommend!

Doug and Travis were so professional and so nice. Doug gave me an accurate estimate which is so appreciated when you are on a fixed income. My oak trees look awesome! Plus they did a great cleanup job. Artistic Arborist will be back in the Spring to do my backyard trees. High five guys!!

Doug and his team did an outstanding job caring for our trees. Very professional, considerate of the surrounding landscape and they did a great job cleaning up when they finished. Highly recommend and will use them again in the future for our tree care needs.

I was very happy with my experience with Artistic Arborist and plan to use their services again this year. They removed some large older trees on my property due to safety concerns and trimmed others. Doug was personable, professional, and knowledgeable about the trees in my yard, and the cost of the service was quite reasonable. He and his crew arrived on time, completed the work they’d promised (in fact, they went above and beyond), and conscientiously cleaned up the yard before leaving. I highly recommend them.

I first used Artistic Arborist about 6 years ago when Doug trimmed my beautiful 200+ years old white oak tree. His work and cleanup and price were great. So I had him back in November 2017 and his crew was amazing to watch as they once again did beautiful and flawless work for a fair price. Then, in February 2018, they pruned 2 smaller trees which nevertheless required tall ladders -- and again the work and cleanup and price were highly satisfactory. I have found that Doug is very fair and trustworthy and I highly recommend Artistic Arborist!

Doug and his crew were super professional and efficient while removing a diseased and dangerous tree from our backyard. You can tell Doug is passionate about what he does, and has respect and an appreciation for trees. We were able to schedule the removal much sooner than we had anticipated. On the day of the removal, the whole process went much faster than we expected. We highly recommend this arborist and will consult with him again in the future on any concerns that may arise regarding the rest of our older trees.

THREE TIMES NOW! We have had our laurel hedges trimmed by Artistic Arborist again. Their work is really unbeatable in every regard, and the only concern is that if you want your hedges trimmed, get a reservation for next fall as soon as you can, as they book up quickly! Their professionalism, courtesy, skill, and reliability is top quality. You can tell that Doug and his team clearly work with pride, and enjoy their work. Seeing the hack jobs that pass for hedge trimming around town, these guys are in a league of their own.

Artistic Arborist did a fantastic job with our very old cherry tree and left our yard looking better than when they arrived. Thank you!
