House Cleaning reviews in Tigard, Oregon

Tigard Cleaners are hands down the best in the Portland area. They are sweetest people on the planet. They have gone above and beyond for our family more times than I can even count with the things they have repaired, altered, and done for us. I truly cannot say enough about the level of service you receive here. Thank you for all you do Tigard Cleaners!

I've been going to Target cleaners for years and I have to say Darby the owner is such a wonderful and giving person she's definitely a part of the community in Old Titgrd. She should be given a medal because she is such a shining star in that part of town what a beautiful person I would highly recommend her in fact I do recommend her to people who need a good cleaner and a good tailor

Terrible job on cleaning my comforter. It is completely ruined now. Not returning.

They were extremely helpful, rather than paying for an unnecessary dry cleaning expense they gave me instructions on how to clean my garment just right. I most definitely will be coming back with my next load of dry cleaning. You don't get amazing customer service like this anymore and their local!

I have a white suit I wouldn't trust to anyone else. Darbie Mayberry is a 3rd generation dry cleaner and is the most knowledgeable in fabric care I have ever found, and I know most dry cleaners in the Portland area. In addition to her knowledge, she is so caring - she wants to solve your problem, and knows the best way to do it!

While I am sure this is a perfectly good cleaners....customer service is obviously lacking. If you park in the 2 hr (public) parking in front. Well this happens.
You get a packing tape note on your truck window because apparently "I look like a contractor & drive a truck", no ma'am I am not...."oh well you were there over 2 hrs" no I was not, it was 42 mins. It's public parking I got a sub at Beach Hut Deli. So you either saw me and knew i was in work clothes (which I clearly wasn't), or you saw me park and noted the time (which you were off by over an hour. I parked near a work van which I can only assume you were probably pissed at. So you said it's a truck let me write a nasty gram. (not under the wiper, but packing taped on my window).
Apparently at 50 yrs old and driving a truck is all it takes to be "guilty" a perceieved infraction. If you have reason to believe someone is doing this then photo it and call traffic. Don't "Karen" someone because you "think" you know. Makes you wonder what else may be assumed about people they meet.
Went inside and asked did you write this note. Response as above. "Oh your not a contract well you were over 2 hours." 42 mins is not 120 mins, nor close. Saying sorry sometimes doesn't cut it. You knew damn well what you were doing with the packing tape as well. Don't piss on someone's day cause your pissed at contractors. Do the right thing, not what makes you feel better cause your pissed. People do better. -
They don't do alterations any more. I would have come in again, but while I was chatting with the owner, a big bully holding a little dog interrupted our conversation to verbally attack "liberals" with a meaningless statement that had nothing to do with our discussion.
(Besides being hostile, rude, interrupting, unwelcome, and attacking, I mean.)
The owner failed to utter a peep to stop him, so there is ONE SURE way to avoid being around that toxic attack again.

It’s been a week since I picked up my dry cleaning and I’ve already recommended Tigard Cleaners to at least 7 or 8 people.
I have a wool coat with leather sleeves and have the hardest time finding a place that’s willing to clean it. I know the leather portion makes it difficult but Tigard Cleaners is the only place that was really willing to help. I called them on a Monday and chatted with Darbie for a few minutes about the coat. She told me to bring it in to take a look. I showed up Wednesday with my coat and another item for dry cleaning.
Darbie took a look at the coat and, though she couldn’t fully dry clean it without risking damaging it (totally understandable), she did outline for me what she COULD do and what repairs could be made to it: wipe it clean, get rid of the pilling, adjust the location of a few buttons, fix the split pocket, and remove the dog fur. No other dry cleaner had offered nearly the amount of help that Darbie did - and she charged a fraction of the cost of the other cleaners.
Along with my coat, I dropped off a silk shirt that I had purchased with a pen mark on the shoulder. I mentioned I wasn’t worried about having that removed but she said she’d still try and see.
Only two days later and my stuff was ready to go! I’ve never had a cleaner turn around items this fast without an insane rush fee. I was super excited when I picked them up and saw my coat looked brand new: spotless, free of my husky’s fur, and smelling super clean. My silk blouse was also perfect with no pen mark in sight!
I’m over the moon with the quality of service, quality of care, and fair+honest pricing at Tigard Cleaners. They’re 30+ years in business and I can tell they’ll be around even longer because of how well they treat people. -
Family owned business, reliable, reasonable prices. All their work has been consistently good and the owner has given me great advice about fabric maintenance. She also cleans and repairs bridal gowns and formals and does basic alterations.

Took care of my dry cleaning needs on short notice and were friendly and very accommodating.

Darby was awesome! Customer service is a rare thing it seems these days but she went above and beyond in helping fix my pillow, and advising how to clean purse myself!
I hope more people will utilize their services and help keep these amazing small businesses going in such difficult times! -
I love this dry cleaners! The owner helped me and she was amazing! I had my wedding dress and it was from Brides for a Cause so it was dirty. She was fair priced and did an amazing job. It was worth the drive from Canby! Will never go to another dry cleaners again! She was genuine and really cared about my dress!

I would drive here from anywhere in the entire Portland area. I LOVE this dry cleaner. Darby (the owner) is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I'm not the friendliest person (lol) but I always end up chatting with Darby for 5+ minutes. She is always thrilled to see my dog and gives me excellent cleaning advice- I've brought things in before that she's told me I can clean at home for free. Everything is always done SO FAST, prices are fair and chatting with Darby always brightens my day. 10/10 will always go here

I've had several garments laundered here now. Everyone I've dealt with so far has been very friendly and helpful. No problems with the quality of work that I've noticed. Very reasonably priced as far as I can tell. I have been purchasing a lot of items recently that require professional laundering and I'll be bringing them to Tigard Cleaners for sure!

The owner was great 👍 I called needing help with getting my wedding dress cleaned. They don't clean them there anymore due to how long it takes to clean each dress. They had lots of advice about what option I'd have when getting my dress cleaned. I will get my husband suit pressed and cleaned there :) Thank you.

I have been using this (family owned for generations) dry cleaners for nearly 40 years and I couldn’t possibly recommend them high enough. Asside from great cleaning .. whatever problems I brought to them .. they always made me very happy with their miraculous work. They’re hands down the best dry cleaner in the entire Portland metro area.

Darby has always worked w me on the cleaning of my antique textile purchases when I travel overseas. She is delightful and knowledgeable. Always enjoy our conversations and her attitude and willingness to try and solve problems.

I called to ask about a pen leak in a blazer and instead of telling me that they couldn’t fix it, the person on the phone had the audacity to say I was simply “stupid”. Terrible customer service and probably no skills to match. As a manager of a high end fashion retailer, I would never recommend this cleaner to any of the hundreds of customers who grace my doors.
**UPDATE** I called my usual dry cleaner, Westmoreland Cleaners, and they said they could make any promises but that I should definitely bring it by. Absolute professionals! What a standard, easy answer to give when you are in business to do business and seek business by proving a service standard. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.
As a retail customer service and management professional, I would easily say that the behavior on the phone that I received from Tigard cleaners was so egregious, the principal of how to not speak to clients so obvious, that it is beyond coaching and actually warrants termination. This person should not be customer facing in any way. With that, I’m not their manager. But I wish the best of luck to the business owners and managers there. You’re obviously missing out on untold sales due to…well, stupidity and poor service. -
Fantastic service and prices! Darby is lovely to talk to and her friend’s artwork on the walls are absolutely delightful. Definitely recommend!

Incredible service. I ripped the seam of a new quilt removing tags and the owner, Darby, expertly repaired it right on the spot in just a few minutes. She provided a lot of great advice while I waited, did an excellent job on the repair, and ended up not even charging me for the work. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking. If I lived in the Portland area, I would go out of my way to do business here.

Very respectable of military memorabilia and flags! Says pledge of allegiance before washing any flags! Cleans all American flags and Military flags for FREE! Could not ask for a nicer woman who runs it!!
