Paving Contractor reviews across the US

our backyard fire pit area needed a custom paver installation with seating space. the crew removed old concrete, leveled the sub-base, and laid pavers in concentric circles around the fire pit. edges were reinforced, spacing checked meticulously, and joints filled with polymeric sand. they also created subtle patterns in seating areas for visual interest. the final space feels functional, durable, and extremely stylish.

our long driveway needed replacement, and we decided to go with pavers for aesthetic appeal and durability. usa pavers in pasadena removed the old asphalt, leveled the base, and reinforced critical sections with compacted gravel. each paver was carefully aligned, patterns matched perfectly, and the entire surface was smoothed and leveled multiple times. they also paid close attention to the edges, installing proper restraints to ensure the pavers won’t move over time. the final driveway is strong enough to handle heavy vehicles, looks elegant, and adds serious curb appeal to our home.

we wanted a decorative patio for entertaining. usa pavers in pasadena designed a rectangular pattern mixing colors and textures for visual depth. they prepped the base with gravel and compacted sand, set each paver precisely, and ensured slopes for proper drainage. edges were reinforced, corners carefully finished, and the surface leveled repeatedly. the final patio is durable, beautiful, and ready for heavy furniture and gatherings.

I’m extremely happy with my new paver installation! The crew was professional, punctual, and paid great attention to detail. The design came out beautifully, and the surface is perfectly level and solid. They cleaned up everything after finishing the job, leaving my yard spotless. The quality of work and materials really stand out highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable paver contractor!

My front porch needed a completely new paver installation. usa pavers in pasadena removed the old concrete, leveled the soil, and installed a reinforced gravel base. they laid pavers in a herringbone pattern, carefully checking alignment and spacing. edges were squared perfectly, and joints filled with polymeric sand to prevent movement. the finished porch is extremely durable, visually appealing, and feels like a high-end custom project.

Really needed a full backyard renovation that included a patio, a curved walkway, and a small seating wall. the crew removed old concrete and soil, leveled the area, and compacted the base thoroughly. they built precise forms for the curves, installed rebar reinforcement in high-stress areas, and poured the concrete in sections to prevent cracking. each surface was floated multiple times, edges carefully rounded, and walking surfaces textured for traction. the seating wall was hand-finished with smooth tops and slightly angled sides for comfort, and they added subtle grooves for aesthetics. the project required several days of curing, and they monitored it carefully to ensure no cracks appeared. the final result is extremely durable, visually elegant, and the entire space now feels like a high-end custom outdoor living area.

we hired usa pavers in pasadena to completely redo our backyard patio with interlocking pavers. the team started by removing the old concrete and leveling the soil. they installed a compacted gravel base, carefully laid edge restraints, and used sand to set each paver perfectly. each section was measured meticulously for alignment, and they hand-checked every row to maintain consistent spacing and pattern. they even created a slight slope for proper drainage and finished the joints with polymeric sand to prevent shifting. the result is visually stunning, extremely durable, and feels like a custom installation you would see in a high-end outdoor magazine.

Fantastic workmanship from the entire crew! From start to finish couldn’t be happier : )

i had a wonderful experience working with ron from black diamond paver and stone landscape definitely recomend them

Always a pleasure working with Ron G. At black diamond. He takes care of his clients! If you call in, ask for Ron!

Had a great experience with Ron Geronimo! He is definitely an asset to the company. He is honest, professional, and helpful. Call and make sure to ask for him!!

The team did a fabulous job on our driveway and walkway. Ron Geronimo was great. He would accompany us throughout the process to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. We love our driveway and our steps now and are considering to facelift our backyard as well

This is our second time hiring Black Diamond—after they crushed it on our front yard, we brought them back for the backyard, and they did not disappoint.

We started with a mess: overgrown trees, broken furniture, and leftover construction junk. They completely transformed it—removed everything, replaced our old cracked brick wall with a new fence (even coordinated with all the neighbors), and swapped out the concrete and lawn for beautiful pavers and fresh grass.

They also built us an awesome BBQ area with a gas line, sink, power, raised seating—the works. Even added an outdoor audio system.

Ron was our project manager both times and he’s the reason we keep coming back. Super organized, great communication, and just on top of everything. We’ve recommended Black Diamond to friends and will keep doing it—they’re that good.

As a Lake Forest homeowner with a 50-year-old residence, I desired to restore the circa 70’s look that would complement that esthetic. Meeting Ron G. and having him listen to blending the original with the new and offering suggestions made this an easy choice! Ron G. is exceptional in his knowledge and personal professionalism. Several options were offered, including a variety of schematics for each. Clearly, above expectations in time and effort. Ron G. walked through each option clearly listening to my vision and brought a higher value to the plan decided upon, still working well within budget. Ron G. won this contract, no question! I obtained several bids from contractors who didn’t listen or provide standard project services without up-charges. Our project came in under budget and installation was quiet and quick; and the results speak for themselves. Now, planning on a phase II project with Ron G. You don’t let a great guy like this go!

Ron G and his on-site team lead by Omero did a great job! Ron communicated with me on each step of the process. I happened to be out of town on vacation while the entire project was completed. Ron kept me informed with extensive photos and timing. It was fantastic coming home to the finished product. It turned out even better than I imagined, and even several neighbors are commenting on how beautiful it turned out. Thank you, Ron and Black Diamond Pavers!
