Extremely overpriced on just about everything they sell. The selection of inventory has gone down hill. Used to go there for hard to find items because they had it. Not anymore. Only interested in selling the most profitable items.

Unsure who these other reviewers spoke with.... but my experience was exemplary. Knowledgeable and helpful, they took the time to listen to my needs and make recommendations that I hadn't even thought of.

I have successfully completed many projects purchasing lighting materials from Rittenhouse electric- for the last 13 years. Their support and extreme dedication to your satisfaction cannot be compared to any other lighting supply establishments, especially Home Depot! I worked with Marty, Mike, Adam, Beth and every one of them did their best to answer all my questions, made valuable suggestions and helped successfully implement my home projects. They return your phone calls immediately, they deliver your supplies the day you need it, they troubleshoot problems if arise, quickly and effectively.

They always stand behind their products and provide immediate replacement of defective merchandise. My house has lighting fixtures, dimmers, lamps, fans and all types of controls, all carefully selected and advised on by caring sales people from Rittenhouse Electric. Phenomenal customer service. I called with an inquiry and spoke to Vance, who patiently walked me through various options for my lighting needs. He then followed up with a detailed email with numerous options for me to review. Will be visiting in the future for my lighting needs!

Amazing Staff and wonderful customer service. Ran out of 14/2 while doing a job in Ardmore. Rittenhouse Electric had some scrap 14/2 for us. I'm at Home Depot everyday and I highly recommend Rittenhouse over Home Depot or Lowes 👍🏼

Today was the third time in a row that I have gone into Rittenhouse Electric Supply and have been treated rudely. I only went to them because they are close, but it never fails that I am treated disrespectfully there. Today I was abruptly told, "You stand back there!” by a clerk when I stood where just moments before someone else had stood. There was no, "Excuse me, sir. Please stand over there to pay for your purchase". There was a plexiglass shield between me and the clerk. He was pleasant to the previous customer who was not admonished to move away. I am disgusted to think that his behavior might have been racially motivated, or age-related as I am of a different race and a senior citizen. I will not allow clerks at Rittenhouse Electric Supply to demean and insult me again.

The staff here are really helpful and go the extra mile. Due to a project delay it took six months to install some lighting I purchased here. The manufacturer provided no instructions on how to install it, but when I called Rittenhouse, even though it was half a year after purchase, they invited me to bring the parts in and showed me how to put it together.

Terrific products and great service. Came highly recommended by our landscape architect. They carry a wide range of high end lighting fixtures.

Tried to support local small business and by a lamp. Was told I can't buy a lamp, I can only order a lamp and it will take a week to come. Was told they have no lamps on site. At all. Seems odd since from other reviews it sounds like they have a warehouse. Probably my little lamp just wasn't worth their time and trouble. I don't think they care about small individual customers. Anyways, on my way to Lowe's....

I went to pick up my lightning and was in for stress today. I was told that I had to go to the warehouse. No problem, it's down the street; turn to your right. I couldn't find it. I came back and repeated the instructions. With my assistant, we thought we finally found it. Walk around, knock on the door, and some minutes later, someone says, "Right business, wrong place." I was sent to another address, rang the bell, and held it to speak several times, but there was no response. I called twice and waited. Finally, someone opened the warehouse gate to hand me the package. I wanted to conduct more business, but this experience could have been more relaxed, more relaxed, and more appropriate. Draw a warehouse map, or walk the paying customer to the location since it's so close. As a first-time customer, my business may not mean much to you, but service means a lot to me. No one should have to go through the hoops I went to for this item.
