I am amazed at how Bella Brother’s Construction has received positive reviews. I have only had negative experiences with them. They do a classic BATE AND SWITCH to steal your money, change projects, and do not stand behind their work. Their owner has no accountability or professionalism once you sign the contract and leaves you wondering where your deposit goes, when you will be assigned project managers, and when/if your projects will ever be started (or competed).
During my experience with them, they have changed project managers 4 times- one quit, one cursed me off (demanding money before project was completed), one was brand new and finally the owner “took over a project” before breaching our contract and backing out. They lacked all communication and follow up, which required me to constantly reach out to them for updates, project starts, etc. They constantly try to upsell you even though they had originally told/promised certain tasks would be done. And finally, the owner, himself, lacks all professionalism and accountability and backs out on projects via email with little explanation without the decency to actually discuss it with you.
In conclusion, if you do proceed to use Bella Brother’s construction, which I would HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND. I would make sure your contract includes EVERYTHING before singing- including start dates, completion dates, the fine details, what is included vs no included, etc.

We hired Bella Brothers for a complete rowhome renovation in the spring/summer of 2016. The short version of our review - we love our home, had a very good experience working with Bella Brothers, and wouldn't hesitate to hire them for a future project! For more details, keep reading!

Just to give you an idea of the scope of this project - this is a two story rowhome built in 1910, in need of a complete head to toe renovation. New electricity, plumbing, HVAC, all new windows and doors, new floors. On the first floor, they removed 3 walls, installed one new support beam, rebuilt the rear of the house (to the extent that it was basically an addition), renovated the entire kitchen, added a powder room, and recessed lighting. All bedrooms on the second floor were updated, and the bathroom was expanded and completely renovated. Half of the basement was finished, and laundry was moved from the first floor to the unfinished half of the basement.

Before we hired them, we must have spoken with at least 15 other contractors. Fortunately for us, we came across Bella Brothers and it felt like the right fit after our first interview. We had a very honest conversation about the project and Tom seemed to have the experience in rowhome renovations that we were looking for. Tom was very careful to make sure we stayed within our budget, which we appreciated. He also let us contact several references.

Bella Brothers also had one main asset that differentiated them from all of the competition that we considered - their full-time designer, Arsan and a boutique showroom. Not a single contractor that we spoke to offered either a designer or a showroom. Both Arsan and Tom helped guide us through the design process and were patient, thoughtful and informative throughout. Where other contractors said "no it can't be done," Tom and Arsan found a way. Visiting their showroom made the process easy - they had samples of most of the finishings (floors, tiles, knobs, cabinets, etc) in their showroom so we got to see everything in person before we made any decisions.

In regards to cost - During our initial meeting with Tom, he said his strategy is to budget for everything upfront so that there aren't any surprises down the road, and that turned out to be true. There were no "surprise" cost increases during the entire project for things that Tom's team didn't account for. The only cost increases were additional items that we decided to add to the scope on our own (either because we didn't think of it in our initial contract, or we simply changed our mind).

As for timing - the project only went slightly over our timeframe, but that was okay for our situation.

In regards to quality - Bella Brothers didn't go the "cheap" route - we have lived in the house for 5 months so far, and everything is functioning smoothly, looks great, and seems to be very durable and good quality.

As clients, I'm pretty sure that we were on the demanding, meticulous, hyper-focused and particular side -- I know that we were not "easy" clients. Not once during the process did the Bella Brothers team make us feel like we were too demanding or asking too much - they were incredibly accommodating to all of our requests and (not exaggerating) hundreds of emails and many phone calls we must have made during this process.

At the end of the day, we LOVE our new home and we would not hesitate to hire Bella Brothers for a future project. We highly recommend them to anyone doing a home renovation!

Had a great experience with Bella. New kitchen, remodeled second floor bathroom, added laundry on second floor, added bathroom on third floor and refinished all floors on all 3 levels. Worked well with my bank with regards to financing and was professional from start to finish. Would recommend and work with them again.

Three years ago, I worked with Bella Brothers to replace my roof deck. All was well until they were long gone and the leaks started. At first, the owner came by and pointed at all other things that were causing the leak, but it was never the deck installation (of course). I got a second opinion with a roofer and he pointed out all the areas they didn't seal correctly. The supporting beams for the deck were not sealed on the bottom, only on the surface, the flashing was not installed correctly on the landing, etc. etc. Most recently, we have found that the Bella team left a piece of wood wedged under a beam that is now digging into my roof. They may be fine for interiors, but DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR ROOF. Every heavy rain for the past 2.5 years has revealed some other area they messed up, So every heavy rain, I regret choosing this company.

The craftsmanship and attention to detail so evident in the work performed by your building crews, is a true reflection of their professionalism! We have received numerous compliments on the work performed, even from our Township Building Inspector!

The team from Bella Brothers did a great job on our basement renovation. They were on time and responsive to our requests. They worked hard and were often early and stayed late. We are thrilled with the results.

We had our master bathroom and hallway bathroom remodeled in September/October of 2020. This is a good company. They are a bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for which includes having a project manager that deals with all the headaches that go with a remodeling project. This company returns your calls, replies to your emails and keeps their appointments. The bathrooms look beautiful. The contractors we were assigned (Jon and Leo) did a really super great job. We had Mike F. as our project manager. We really liked him a lot. He was very personable, communicated with us, was on top of the remodeling progress and even threw in our master clothes closet to be painted at no extra charge. The painter they sent (Luiz) did a phenomenal job with the painting. Tom (the owner), Arsan (the designer) and Laura (the admin asst) were all a pleasure to work with. We would recommend this company.

I have used Bella Construction on three occasions and they never disappoint. The work was completed timely and efficiently and all my expectations were met. The staff is amazing and they also communicate very well. When looking for a contractor I look for reliability and with Bella Brothers I have found that.
I will continue to refer Bella Brothers to family, friends, and neighbors.

We are extremely happy with the renovation of our kitchen and powder room. Bella Brothers prpvided us with quality carpenyeres who were eficient and skilled. The project was done on time. We especially appreciated that the project mamager kept us informed with what would happen everyday.

We have used Bella Brothers twice so far in the past three years, for our home improvements. They built a beautiful deck on the back of our home, and have replaced our old doors with beautiful new doors. We will call Bella Brothers again when we are ready for our next home improvement. They are very professional and there employees are respectful all the time.

Working with Bella Bros on this project was a very positive experience and worth every penny. The craftmanship was high quality. The project Manager Mike was great to work with. The work was completed timely, and the results were great.

We used Bella Brothers in May to add a two-level roof deck with Spiral stairs on our Philadelphia Row Home. They were amazing from beginning to end. We received our estimate quickly, and Tom was great with us having a million questions, as this was a huge investment for us. The project was completed ahead of schedule, and every person we dealt with was polite and helpful.

We have two future projects coming up that we plan on using Bella again and recommend them to everyone we know.

It went very well. Tom and his staff gave me a beautiful, custom kitchen with everything I asked for. So modern and efficient, I love cooking in it. The process was well organized from designs and layouts to demolition to installation and all the way to the final touch ups. About the process and execution - After a delay in starting based on my decision to change course, it all went smoothly. Arsan, the designer, knew what could be done and drafted up a great plan. The materials we used were top notch and I ordered most everything right in the showroom. I was only responsible for ordering my own appliances and lighting, just had to schedule my delivery. Eric and his crew did a great job, they were professional, knowledgeable and courteous, answering any questions I had. And they were flexible when on-the-spot changes needed to be made. Danny and his crew finished off the final touches to my satisfaction. I had gotten a number of estimate before going with Bella Bros and I feel I definitely got a good deal. It all turned out just great! I would recommend them to anyone considering a remodeling project.

I cannot say enough about how terrific Mike F, project manager was. He was always responsive and timely; his knowledge and ability to diagnose and remedy issues in all areas is impressive….from finding the screws needed to install door handles from Turkey that came without the hardware needed to diagnosing plumbing issues, overseeing the large projects and keeping track of the small and unexpected issues that inevitably arise in a construction job. He seems able to fix almost anything! Mike went out of his way to speak with condo manager to make sure I got the help I needed to resolve a plumbing issue in the condo building that was beyond the scope of the work Bella did in my apartment. Bella provided a conscientious, skillful team of professionals, lead by a great project manager!

As a newcomer to renovations, I could not have made a smarter choice than to hand over my aging condo to Bella Brothers Construction. My kitchen, living room, and bathroom were all magnificently transformed through their expertise and professionalism. Each member of the team brought years of experience and skill to the job; I could trust them every step of the way. The guidance I received, the neat and courteous service, the admirable workmanship, and the quality materials all contributed to making renovating an uplifting experience instead of the nightmare that I had feared.
