I found this company on Social Media and reached out for a quote for a custom build. They were very quick to respond and once I told them what I wanted the process went smooth with Dan.

I don't like to write negative reviews because mistakes happen. But my brief experience with Sastre was one with a basic lack of consideration and professionalism.

We contacted them to ask for an estimate to have some work done in two very small bathrooms. Dann stopped over and was very pleasant. We discussed what we wanted, and he took measurements and said he would need two days to give us an estimate. After about five days we heard nothing. My wife called (left a VM) to see if an estimate had been lost in transit. Still, we heard nothing.

I followed up again with an email to ask if we would be getting an estimate, but STILL no response. Not even the basic courtesy of ANY reply. It's like we were invisible.

To be sure, this was a relatively small job and I'd understand if they prefer larger scale work.. I get it. He just had to tell us that. Just the simple courtesy to someone who was trying to give them work.

Dann, I still don't understand?! You couldn't tell us this before you left, or take 1 minute to type an email saying you didn't want to take this job??? Do you really think it's better to simply disregard people who wanted to hire you? To me, that's just inconsiderate and unprofessional.

They did a fantastic job with my bathroom remodel. Communication was timely, crew was courteous, and the work done was correct and done as quick as possible. They did great work.

Dann and his crew did a fantastic job tearing down our Dormont garage and building a new one.

Bid was competitive. Work was clean and thorough. Dann was super communicative via text, phone and email. Provided regular updates throughout the entire process and was always responsive whenever we had a question.

Sastre Construction did a beautiful job remodeling our master bath along with a trex deck and cement patio makeover. The tile work is gorgeous. Dan had a lot of helpful ideas and went above and beyond in making sure things were perfect and we were exceptionally pleased with the outcome. Our deck and patio are spectacular. I truly appreciate how quickly and efficiently Dann and his team completed repairs to my property after a burst pipe and extensive water damage. He communicated every step of the way and answered any question I had quickly. He worked with my insurance to get them to raise what they would cover, which was no easy task. Dan and his crew transformed our basement. He was always polite and friendly during his interactions with our family. He listened to our ideas and gave insight and options. He went above and beyond and even picked up items with his truck that would have taken me multiple trips. His crew was always very polite and hard working. PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL TRYING TO DO WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. I wish someone else had put a review to warn me. Daniel Sastre has left our deck work uncompleted since July of 2023 after collection more than 80% of the payment. I have called and left several messages, emails, voicemails etc. His initial excuse was he had back surgery. He agreed at some point to sublet the job but stop taking our calls when we reached out for follow up. We just need our deck work completed or some of our money refunded for the work not done. To make matters worse we are in court with Allegheny county for fixing this deck and making sure it is secure. I even sent him the court papers but he had no regard to honor his contract. I will also file a complaint with the better business bureau

Almost 20,000 dollars for deck repair is not a band aid fix
It is obvious this may this was a calculated attempt for to prey on an unsuspecting customer.
We just want our deck repairs completed after spending almost 15,000 so far.
All your concerns should have been addressed up front rather than after 80% of payments have been made

My husband and I are real estate investors and in the market of flipping houses having recently started in the Pittsburgh area. Damn and his crew fell into our lap so to speak after another contractor backed out and it is on of the best things that could have happened. Dann and is crew are punctual and professional, always going above and beyond, taking no short cuts to get the job done correctly. Dann communicated well throughout the project giving regular updates on the daily as to where we were on the project and budget. Dann did an absolutely wonderful job on our property and we recieved numerous compliments from potential buyers commenting on the quality of the work and how great the house turned out. We continue to invest in the Pittsburgh area and Dann is my contractor of choice from now on. I think anyone me that chooses to use Dann and his crew will absolutely agree! Keep up the great work!

You can forget all horror stories you hear about contractors when you deal with Sastré Construction! They were amazing. I was getting a swim spa area prepared. He wanted around 6500. We gave him the specifications and the number for the company to tell him how it needed to be done.

The next day he wanted to “add” something to have the price almost double. He wanted the money upfront. Then what he had planned still did not work, so he added more money that he wanted up front.

He ended up not finishing the almost 13000 job. We were quite upset. He said to keep the 3000 that we still owed.

He had destroyed the grass, and removed sidewalk bricks without fixing. It told him from June to August without finishing the job.

We had to pay someone else 8000 to finish. They finished the project in 2 days with 2 workers (Extreme Decks - highly recommend.

I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this “bait and switch.”

The only reason that I gave 2 stars is the person who did the concrete block low wall around the spa was very good.

Be careful. He gives you a contract with limited information and he kept adding on. I saw that on BBB others had the same experience.

We couldn’t have asked for a better contractor/construction company to help us renovate our almost 100 year old Pittsburgh home. Dann is a professional who’s attention to detail is outstanding. He is responsible with showing up each and every day with his crew to complete projects carefully and beautifully. In addition to renovating our home he worked wonderfully with our interior decorator. If we were to renovate another home Dann would be our first phone call!
