I have been paying for this service for the past two years, having started it because of a sewage backup. It is unacceptable that they refuse to send help until my basement is flooded with raw sewage. Furthermore, they do not take responsibility for cleaning up the damaged contents, leaving me to hire someone else for this, which costs around $2,000. As a result, I am switching to Reliance Home Comfort Protection in Canada.

We called after 5pm with an outside water leak. The plumbers were here before noon the following day. They were very professional, kind and did a great job!!! We are so thankful that we have this service.

Very shady company. For several years my plan prices have remained fairly consistent. Maybe a small increase annually, but very minimal. This year one plan doubles in price and when I call to find out why, all they do is read from a corporate script they are given. They can't provide any valid justification for an increase of double. Shop around and find a company that doesn't use deceptive business practices.

First, they didn't have a plumber with-in a 200 mile radius. After waiting 3 days, I called my preferred plumber, less than 2 miles from my home.
Then they never returned ANY of my calls. Not one! Never any explanation of anything.
I sent the necessary documentation in, as required, then waited. And waited. And WAITED. I finally sent everything AGAIN.
I was pretty stunned to get a "reimbursement " check for less than HALF THE AMOUNT. I called. I emailed. I called some more. Never once were any of my calls returned by anyone. None of the "customer service" people had answers to any of my questions. I put the check in my bank account.
I emailed one last time, threatening legal action and to report SERVICE LINE WARRANTIES to the State of Wyoming plus a few scathing reviews on various internet sites.
SERVICE LINE WARRANTIES stopped. payment. on. the. check.
The amount was pulled from my account. Again, I made countless phones calls and sent emails. Nothing.
Last week, another check arrived for the amount that was pulled from my checking account when they stopped payment. No explaination. Nothing. Still less than half reimbursement.
I blazed off another email to the company and cc:ed the State of Wyoming Attorney General.

A check for the balance arrived in today's mail. No note. No explanation. No apologies. Nothing.

Due to the experiences I have had with SERVICE LINE WARRANTIES since FEBRUARY 2025, I wholeheartedly and most emphatically encourage you AVOID PURCHASING PRODUCT LINE WARRANTIES from them No matter, no how. Avoid them by all means possible. Im thankful I only had a plugged sewer line and not a collapse or anything that involved heavy equipment.

The home serve agents do not know what they are doing. I’ve had 4 back ups now and not a single plumber has done anything because they said it’s not actively backing up. Yet I have had to pay $1200 to pay to have all of my flooring removed and floors cleaned. Never will I use them again

I have had to use Service Line Warranties of American on three occasions now and each time the companies that were sent to our home were on time and simply put, got the needed repairs done in a reasonable amount of time.

Respond quickly, great customer service at each level and do a great job of communicating back to the customer what the issue is. The plumbers that came to do the work were friendly and knowledgeable. They went above & beyond to help us replace our sewer line. We highly recommend them! Thank u for the great teamwork!

My call for service was handled promptly. I received confirmation that a technician would be contacting me shortly, which they did. An appointment was scheduled and the technician arrived within that time window. They explained what they did to correct the problem with my main line. They completed everything in about an hour, which includes the cleanup time.

This has been a horrible experience. I would not recommend it to anyone. I had repeated service calls from the same unqualified plumber. I would ask that it not be sent there but they put it on a job board and the first one to pick it up gets it. So sometimes that leaves you with the unqualified plumber. After repeated trouble calls where they refused to properly diagnose and correct the issue. I paid completely out of pocket for a repair that they should have covered. I am still attempting to get the reimbursement. My plumber wasn't contracted with them so they are asking for items that they usually don't provide on the invoice. This is a scam. They take your warranty money but refuse to do even the repairs that are covered. Save that money and use it to pay a qualified plumber.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! First time in two years having to utilize our Service line warranty and I cannot say enough about this company and it's VERY reputable companies it uses to fulfill a customer issue. WOW, was SO simple, called, told them my problem. said no worries, we will have one of our reputable service companies contact you shortly. Got a call shortly after, said who they were, who they were calling on behalf of, and came out and cleaned the main sewer line out. I will say this, I have NEVER had a company so thorough in every direction. FIVE STAR ALL THE WAY from start to finish. I am SO glad we are with Home Serve, Service Line warranties AND their very reputable service companies they work with. I would not want to go any where else. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very helpful and went the extra mile to resolve my water issue. The technician was prompt and professional. He took extra care to protect my lawn. That gesture was important to me.
Thanks for the excellent service.. I highly recommend the company.

We had sewer blockage or clog 6 times or so in the past couple years. Service line has been very good about answering the call anytime of day to get our plumbing up and running. The last time it happened the rooter rooter wouldn’t work so service line went to the next step and had a portion of the line replaced. Again we are up and running. So thankful for their help and the contractor did a good job

Money well spent. The claim process was straightforward once clarification regarding the nature of the exterior sewage line blockage was established.
The chosen contractor (Terry Liggett Construction) was friendly, arrived promptly and effectively cleared the blockage using water jets to clear the exterior service line - all at no cost!

We have had many home warranties over the years and I am actually the happiest with Homeserve. The maintenance people you send out are always very good. We have Homeserve on three different homes and I have recommended it to many people.
Frassica has always been very good. They contacted us and came out ASAP.
    Thank you, Frassica and Homeserve

The process for requesting a repair was easy. And the customer service agents were outstanding. I felt they went the took extra effort to get someone out to my house on a late Friday afternoon to address my repair request. And when I called back to get a status the agent took time to make sure I understood. Thank you!

Great service! My tenant experienced a sewer backup over the weekend. Air Assurance was scheduled over the weekend and came out 8:00 am Monday morning, job was done and tenant satisfied by 10;30. And they understood to talk to the tenant about the problem and to me about the price of repair. I appreciate that. Lots of companies have poor communication, leaving me out of the loop, that delays service and cause frustration for everyone involved. Air Assurance and HomeServe were great together!

Terrible. Weasel insurance company that is more than happy to collect your monthly payments but does not want to cover what they their contract says it should cover. I have top-of-the-line camera footage showing roots and a collapse in the main sewer drain and they are refusing to cover it. Another shifty aspect of this company to take note of is that when you go to their website, you cannot review the policy. It takes five days to get them to send you the policy which I still have yet to receive 10 days later they don’t want you to know their policy or be able to access the terms of their policy with you because they don’t want you to use it I clearly been wasting my money for the last several years, paying for multiple coverages on multiple things on my property for no reason now that I’ve had direct experience with this company I see that they are completely useless and worthless, and just taking money out of the pockets of hard-working people, and then keeping it for themselves and not honoring the terms of their policy …..it it took several days to get a plumber to come out to address the situation… it was an ordeal because this company does not contract with great plumbers it contracts with the bottom of the barrel ones. I would recommend changing over to a different competitor because I’ve been paying for monthly dues with service line warranty in America for over a decade and this is my first claim, and they are not covering it. They are not even interested in looking at the video. It was a nightmare, reaching somebody at the Plumbing office that they contract with. I booked an appointment for the following morning and they canceled it saying they need more information but no point give me the opportunity to speak to a person or submit any information when I finally did speak to somebody two days later they really didn’t need any additional information.

My sewer drain is collapsed and one area and has a huge belly in another area where Sage waste is accumulating and there are roots in the line the sewer drain the main line and because it’s not backing up into my house they won’t make the repair or authorize the repair so basically what this company will do is hold you hostage until you have damage to your home. They want the line to get that bad if there are roots in the sewage line that’s already an incursion it should be covered. I am going to make it my personal hobby to go around and tell everybody that I can far and wide to drop this company ASAP. My house already flooded from the drain issue. They’re claiming that that happened on a branch line and they don’t cover any branch lines even though my main line originates from the kitchen run straight to the alley and all the issues are on that main line I paid $500 to have a top-notch video Inspection of the line done and service lines. Insurance will not even give me the opportunity to provide that for their review, also when I called in, I was forced to speak to somebody who was overseas who could barely understand me so it ended up being a 40 minute call. NOT HAPPY ST ALL WITH THIS money grubbing company

My shutoff valve was licking and because it is welded I could not replace it myself so I called HomeServe to request a repair under the coverage I am paying for and it was very easy to setup the appointment, got a confirmation from the contractor almost immediately was receiving frequent status updates until the technician arrived at the time it was promised.
The contractor from Mountain Plumbing and Drains Inc arrived on time, was very courteous and professional.
At the beginning it was a small confusion about the work being or not covered which was cleared up by the contractor calling the HomeServe line and, --once the coverage was confirmed,-- he proceeded to perform the repair. He provided me with advice of how to operate the valve properly to extend his life and further damage to the property due to misuse, very pleased with the service. Thanks.

The plumber that Service Line sent to me was a disaster! My appointments were messed up so many times that I told myself “it just can’t happen again” – but it did. The plumber left my house to buy a new part without telling me – leaving water gushing from the back of the house. The day after he “finished” the repair, the leak was so huge that it took a “real” plumber 2 days to finish the repair and I was without water for 3 days. But the cardinal sin was that the plumber TWICE left my gate open without telling me – with no regard for children and pets who could have run into the street and been hurt. Service Warranty did help a bit with getting appointments scheduled but was indifferent to my complaints about the work that was "done".
