HOA uses them for division lawncare for over 15 years. Called to get quote on trimming, making new gardens etc. Visited and promised quote within 1 day. 1 week later, still waiting.

Disrespected neighbors' properties.
I watched as they blew leaves from a neighbor's onto mine and I went out to get them to stop.
They denied doing it.
So I called the office and talked to the boss who said, it's certainly not [their] intent to do so.
The workers left, and left all the leaves they blew onto my property.

They show up on time, and their staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Jim helped us find the best options for our landscape design and really worked with our budget.

There’s nothing more aggravating than people walking around with leaf blowers while you’re on a work call. I asked them multiple times if they could please turn them off for 3 minutes so I could finish the call and they just stared at me while they used the leaf blowers for another 30 minutes

Had them do a backyard paradise out of pavers.

We had hired J Downend to take our backyard from a weed infested wilderness to a space my family would enjoy. J Downend rose to the challenge, our yard has a steep grade and was difficult to maintain because of water run off. They built the most amazing patio and fire pit that looks like it has always been there! They listened to us and designed a space that fits our life’s perfectly, from the low maintenance plants that were chosen to the hard scape stones that reflect the surrounding area. I would recommend J. Downend to any one who needs a professional landscape company.

The old saying that you get what you pay for is definitely true with Downend Landscaping. Their price is very reasonable given the level of service that you receive. You could shop around for a cheaper landscaper, but in the end I am certain you will regret it.

We had a complex water drainage problem in our back yard and Jim Downend came out himself to design an innovative solution that has completely solved the issue. They planted over 100 plants and trees for us and non of them have ever died.

In addition to using them for my home in Garnet Valley, I used them at my beach house in Long Beach Island. They completely redesigned the entire property. I can't tell you how many compliments I have received on the work.

They are a first-rate company. I would recommend them for any job.
