We hired John’s Electrical Services after reading over 160 five-star reviews here, and we are happy to say we agree with those reviews. John and his colleague updated an exterior receptable, replaced an interior outlet, and installed five new exterior lights, including a post-mounted lamp. That lamp was in a newly installed garden bed and John was very careful not to damage the nearby plants. Excellent communication throughout. He was responsive, kept us informed, arrived when he said he would and was a real pleasure to work with. We highly recommend John’s Electrical Services.

I recently hired John for Phase one of my lighting project, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the prompt response to my initial inquiry to asking the right questions, John's professionalism assured me that I had chosen the right electrician for the job. He provided a virtual estimate based on pictures of my lights, demonstrating his efficiency.

On the day of the project, John and his helper, Jimmy, arrived on time. Not only did they address the lighting installation, but John also took the time to explain and fix an issue with water due to rain in my electrical box. Their attention to detail was outstanding. Throughout the process, they treated my home with care—wearing shoe covers, using sheets to protect the floor, and ensuring everything was cleaned before leaving.

I had an issue with power to half my kitchen going out. John answered my call and came out to attempt to diagnose the issue that same day. He determined that there must be a loose connection in a junction box, but my drywalled basement ceiling made it nearly impossible to determine where that box was located. Though John and his helper, Jimmy, spent well over an hour at my house, he didn't charge me anything since he couldn't find the problem. We agreed he'd come back a few days later to do a rewire which would take all day, but after an hour John found the issue and it was indeed loose wires held together by only electrical tape in a junction box next to a light fixture in the basement ceiling. John fixed the issue and was done in less than two hours, charging me only a third of what the anticipated fix would've been. He even took photos and a narrated video of the issue to share with me. I'm super happy with John's Electrical Services and he is now my go-to guy for anything electrical. I recommend him without reservation.

John put in a 220 line for our new stove. Very professional and friendly. The communication was great. He even came back and made an adjustment free of charge when we wanted to move the stove. Highly recommended.

We recently bought a mid-century home in the Secane area that needed some fixture updates & had some previous DIY electrical work done. John and his helper Jimmy came in and did excellent work updating some lighting fixtures and looking into and diagnosing a wiring issue. John was very responsive in scheduling a time to come by, and did very professional work correcting some of the previous installations. He was also able to schedule a time to come back in the near future to investigate the wiring issue further. They were very friendly and professional and did a great job cleaning up as well. It is often hard to find qualified Electricians to respond to do smaller jobs for a reasonable cost. Would highly recommend you give John’s Electrical a try.

We had a fire in the shut off panel for our HVAC overnight and I called John's Electrical around 7 am, he was able to get out in the middle of a heatwave within 4 hours of me calling him (even stopping for parts before he headed over). He was 100% empathetic, professional and reliable. I made sure to save his number for future electrical needs.

I got multi able quotes for some electrical work needed for inspection on a property my team purchased in Glenolden, Johns quote was by far the best out of the five or so quotes we got. Work was completed promptly, as described, and any questions we had got answered in a professional and informative matter. John and Jimmy did a great job completing electrical work for the interior and exterior of the home including the service line, kitchen wiring, and breaker box. John stayed in constant communication and tended to the project quickly. John and Jimmy were also respectful of the property and homeowners. These guys saved the lives of me and my cats! I called John on Sunday and told him exactly what was going on. He immediately returned my call and came out the next day. Because I plugged a space heater into the regular outlet in my second BR, which immediately blew the fuse, I came extremely close to having a major house fire! John and his work partner (I forgot his name,) checked The breaker box and the outlets. They removed the one where I had plugged the heater in, just one time, and the wires were fried and the metal housing box was buckled from heat that was generated! They were professional, friendly, and reasonably priced. They were really two of the nicest guys as well. They will be doing some more work for me soon and also will be installing a designated outlet for my space heater! NEVER PLUG A SPACE HEATER INTO A REGULAR OUTLET!! I learned a very valuable lesson in electricity! Thank you, John and partner! I’m so grateful to you both!

John’s Electric is top-notch.  John is attentive, respectful, friendly, and super kind.  Truly exceptional, prompt customer service.  I highly recommend this electrician. It was a positive experience. I will be calling him back for outdoor electrical work.  My family and I are greatly appreciative.

I can not say enough good things about John. My 85 year old mother in law who has dementia needed lots of electrical upgrades and repairs in her home. Knowing we had to work around her sleep/ good times schedule was something we worried about. John was understanding and said he would do whatever was needed on his end to accommodate us. John started with the essential items to make ours and mother in laws life easier. He went on to troubleshoot harder issues and quickly fixed those as well. He showed us what efficient fixtures he was going to get and asked for our approval. John and his helper were very professional , clean and courteous. John even took the time to swing by at night to make sure we were happy with the adjustments on the outdoor lights he installed. He wanted to be there in case we needed them adjusted. Since we may have put him through a little extra by having to deal with our schedule we were expecting a high price. We were wrong. John’s pricing was awesome. I am happy to say we found an electrician we can trust

John responded to our first time call very quickly and immediately corrected a dangerous situation with an outlet. We later consulted with John to create a room-to-room to-do list in our house built in 1955. The work completed included checking all of the outlets in our house (a few were replaced), two new light fixtures were installed, and the electrical panel box was upgraded and replaced. John kept us informed of issues, plans, and corrections along the way, was punctual, professional, and really just a very nice guy to work with. We deeply appreciate John's vigilant attention to detail, his very clear communication with us in real time, and his personal very high standards of work performance.

I had kind of a semi emergency and needed a big job done. John and his team came out quickly and went above and beyond . They were prompt and did everything by the book. He even replaced a ceiling fan for me that was not part of the original project. Honest as they come, quick and neat . I would highly recommend him.
