All reviews for Solid Oak Tree Service

They did an amazing job cutting down 50 yr old giant oak tree & a willow tree. Excellent clean up when they were finished. Will definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience — they tell you when they’re coming, return calls, are polite — and get the requested job done.

This is the second time the Daves have done tree work for us; they're wonderful to do business with. The first tree was a 45' Larch, it's removal was done in record time, and the clean-up was amazing. The second was topping a very tall white pine. I was told by another tree service it couldn't be done and was quoted a price over twice what Dave gave me, to "prune/thin it".
They were out yesterday and again, did a great job in taking the pine tree down at least 17' while still maintaining the trees integrity. While they were there cleaning up I asked Dave for another quote on another "job". He gave me a very reasonable quote and we scheduled it.
Actually while I was having my Larch attended to, my neighbor talked to Dave to have her big Maple tree pruned and shaped. The tree service she had contacted never showed up and Dave's quote was half of the theirs. It looks really good and again, the clean-up was like they were never there.
Obviously I'm very impressed by Solid Oak and the Daves: Senior and Junior; they're not only very professional but personable too. I did my due diligence in "shopping around"; for quality and workmanship, I found these guys are the best.

Very impressed with this company, I will definitely use them again.

I called Solid Oak Tree Service for stump removal. I’m sure it was a small job for them but they treat it like any job they have.
Dave came out and gave me a price that was very reasonable and came back within a couple days to remove it. He also made sure everything was cleaned up in my yard.
If you need any type of tree service, small or large do not hesitate to call them.
Solid Oak Tree Service is highly recommended…

Cut down a large pin oak next to my house and a dead elm that was shedding large branches into my driveway. Did the job at the estimated cost including 10% veteran's discount. Cleaned up nicely. Will use them again.

I cannot over state how competent professional considerate accommodating Solid Oak was. We have already recommended Solid Oak to several friends and family members.

One of my best tree experiences - and I have had many - from beginning to end. David Jr made the proposal process seamless along with providing me with their insurance information. Climber Will (pic) was very proficient and the ground crew of owner Dave Sr and son in law Tim left the job site clean and were very efficient. Recommend without reservation.

This company is excellent. The owner was actually on site, and discussed the caveats of taking too much of the canopy at one time. Had two oak trees trimmed and branches removed. Everyone was efficient and courteous. I will be having them back in the fall of 2026 to continue the pruning - thanks!

If you have any trees down, call SOLID OAK TREE SEVICE. a  family owned bussiness. On April 29th 2025, an unprecedented storm took place in Hampton Township. Two huge trees fell onto my property. I immediately called several tree companies the day after the storm with no response for several days. I started to panic.I then returned my seach to the internet and found the web site for Solid Oak Tree Service. The owner responded by phone immediately and listened to my concerns. The owner sent her son Dave to my property the same day as our conversation. Dave evaluated the fallen trees and gave me a comprehensive and very fair quote on site. :-) Solid Oak Tree Service employees were awesome; I could not have asked for a better crew.:-) They made sure the ground in my yard was solid enough to be driven on with there trucks and was carefull not to damage any other parts of my property. The trees were removed within a few hours. They did a fantastic job with both the removal of the trees and the clean up of all accompanying debris on the ground.I feel extremely BLESSED and fortunate to have found such an awesome tree service company. They really take care of there customers with great care and respect for their property.Their website is also awesome and easily navigated.Thank you Solid Oak Tree Service, a wonderful family-owned business, with old fashioned values. :-) Thank you    Tim

I had a huge silver maple tree taken down. The crew for the job got it all done in 7-8 hrs ——stump grinding all cleaned up perfectly! Wonderful Job. Couldn’t be happier…. Live in Allison Park,PA

Solid Oak crew was very professional and polite. Did exactly what we asked for. Cleanup of our yard was great. Would definitely recommend them. Having stump ground out in 2 weeks.

I just wanna give a huge shout out to this company. They got my cat out of a tree with no problems!!!!
Thank you so very much!!!

Dave and the guys did an excellent job. They were so professional and after the tree was taken down they cleaned up everything. I definitely recommend them

Very hard working professional crew. Dave junior was a wonderful tree climber safety first. I had the worst double tree 135 feet tall, had many company turn me down on removal. Solid oak did a wonderful job taking in down. Would recommend there service highly. Thank you for a job well done.

True professionals in every sense of the word! 3 other contractors came in and said the job was too difficult as the trees targeted for removal were on a hill behind my house …. Solid Oak said “No problem” !
They were responsive - more than fairly priced - punctual - efficient - and cleaned up after the job leaving the site as they found it! We are appreciative!

Dave and his team came out to do some tree trimming and pruning. They were great to work with, very professional, very efficient, and very reasonably priced. We’re very happy with their work and would definitely utilize their services again.

Reasonably price, professional, job was done well! There were a couple items that had to be followed up on and Dave was great about communicating when they would be back to complete them. Dave has integrity and I appreciate that I can trust the job will be done right. I will use them in the future and refer Solid Oak to my friends

Had them cut down 11 pine/spruce trees. The team was quick, reasonably priced, and very responsive. Dave was great with communication. Highly recommend.

The company was everything you'd want in a tree service: efficient, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and very customer focused. They clearly are experts at what they do and were extremely courteous and respectful of our property and that of our neighbors. We'd hire them back without hesitation.

We had a great experience with Solid Oak from start to finish. Originally, we got three quotes, and they not only gave us the best price but were also the most professional. David was super communicative and friendly every time we spoke. Even amidst emergency calls from others after multiple bad storms, the crew was able to remove our two large invasive ailanthus trees before the lanternflies started getting sap all over our yard as in previous years. On the day of service, they were punctual, efficient, and completed the work as agreed, in spite of pouring rain. Thanks to David and the others on the team, we can actually enjoy our backyard this summer! Would 100% recommend.
