Great people and great service!

Fast service, very accommodating and professional. Fixed the immediate problem and explained what contributed to it and suggestions to address the main issue without trying to over-sell the job. Price was honest, will be calling them for future needs.

I had an electrical issue that was beyond what I could diagnose/fix. Rob and Lou came out and were able to diagnose and fix the problem thoroughly and efficiently for a reasonable cost.

Asked Lou to take a look at an electrical connection in my condo. He made up excuses why he could not do the work. Made it sound like I was doing something wrong. I thought that was cowardly and unprofessional on his part. I will never recommend him to anyone.

I had Lou quote something, for $30, which I found to be strange. He did warn me beforehand, but come on..... odd.

Anyway, I found the rest of his behavior to be odd as well. Everything he looked at took him much longer than I’d expect. For example, he stared at my standard electric box for what had to be 15 minutes straight. Very odd.

When I got the quote, well, I laughed at it. I thought it was a joke. I paid half as much to have a whole new box and service installed from the line.

I asked some friends, who are electricians outside my area, and they all agreed - his pricing wasn’t just high, it was outrageous.

As mentioned, I went with another local electrician. I was quoted one third of the price.

So, $30 just to show up (in his neighborhood);
He took forever on the property;
He pointed out every other little potential job;
And submitted an outrageous quote.

To me, it can only mean that he’ll show up for the job, stay way longer than expected, and bill for way more than quoted.

Rob came out in 20 minutes after a quick call to Lou's electrical. He diagnosed my wiring issue and fixed it quick. Very knowledgeable and professional! Thanks

They called back and scheduled quickly - within a day or two in all cases. My jobs were minor - ceiling fans, outlet repair, etc. Electricians were on time, professional, and explained what needed to be done. It's nice to be able to use a local business.

I have been using Lou’s Electric Service since before there was a world-wide web and a way to broadcast my praise for Lou and his business.

Over the last 20 years we have called on Lou’s Electric for jobs big and small: upgraded our electric service to handle A/C units; additional wiring and outlets for a basement art studio; rewired our kitchen for our remodeling and replaced dangerous DIY wiring that was previously unknown to us; and most recently installed a new GFCI outlet on our porch.

Lou’s Electric is honest, friendly, reliable, and performs excellent work with an old school work ethic. Lou is my first and only call when I need electrical work done.

Wow, just had a power failure that blew out two circuit breakers. While caring for two 90+ year olds I was worried about the electric being off. I called Lou's out of the blue, never had business with them before. They were at my house in ten minutes. Two young men were very honest and knowledgeable. They had the job finished in about 30 minutes. They charged a reasonable price for the work. This was all during a business time. Thank you for being honest and reputable.

I was looking for an electrician that was fair & honest; but also, specialized in working on older homes. Lou was this electrician down to the T. Yes, they do charge a slight fee for an estimate; however, it is not a scam. I had four other electricians come to my home and give me free estimates, but not one of them educated me or gave the great suggestions which Lou provided. He explained where we could save money by avoiding unnecessary and expensive upgrades to the system while also adding in features; such as, switched outlets on either side of our sofa’s and couches. Furthermore, he explained the requirements of the current electrical code and why we needed other features for safety concerns and bringing our wiring up to the current code. Because of Lou’s honesty and knowledge we decided to hire him to replace our old knob and tube wiring.

Lou and his son, Rob, arrived to our house everyday and were extremely skilled at their chosen profession. Unlike the other electrical contractors, which I previously mentioned, Lou and Rob stated they could replace the wiring with minimal patch work. I had one electrician state they needed to open up the walls and remove all of our original wood baseboard molding and that we would be responsible for any and all patches which were needed. With plaster walls in a lot of older homes like mine this would have cost a fortune to patch or replace. Fortunately, Lou and Rob were experienced enough to add multiple switches, outlets, and overhead lighting with only the holes required for the electrical boxes and lighting fixtures. They did this by neatly and expertly removing and replacing the second floor’s hardwood floors and finding concealed wiring access points to and from our basement and attic. With all their hard-work we now get to enjoy our home even more with all the new safe indoor and outdoor outlets and lighting.

Lastly, Lou and Rob were respectful not just to our home but to my wife and 6-year-old daughter which Lou constantly joked with and made smile! For these and all the reasons I stated above I would 100% refer Lou and his son’s to anyone looking for electrical work.

We have been using Lou's Electric at our cemetery since last year and I can't rave enough about their professionalism, promptness, communication, and all around work. They should definitely be your Go-To for electrical needs!

Tobias is very very good probably the best electrician we ever had and the only one we will use! He's smart reliable and cares!!

Toby has been my go to electrician for years. For projects big or small, he does a great job, is on time, and sets everything to right before leaving.
