Really should be zero stars. They are crooks. Replaced a defective part on my dryer with a USED part, charged me for a new one. In addition to this con, they dropped a pair of large pliers on a hardwood floor putting a dent in it and got grease and dirt all over everything in the washroom including an expensive dress. The repair lasted less than a week b/f the problem started again. Called another appliance repair company that was aghast at the blatant rip-off and charges. They replaced the part with a NEW part, charged me half what Dave's did and it has been working fine ever since. I called Dave's several times to complain and was given a well rehearsed run around each time. They took my information each time but never returned any of my calls. Don't ever get involved with this disreputable business.

Two weeks ago, our Samsung dryer had an error code. After attempting the basic troubleshooting of unplugging and re-plugging, we decided to get help from a professional. My husband found Dave’s Appliance Repair on Facebook; we are true advocates for supporting small-medium businesses, especially ones in the Montco area, so we decided to use their expertise. An appointment was set two days after the initial call. We were informed that to diagnose the problem the price would be $104. We had no uncertainties; we just wanted the dryer fixed. When the workers came in our home, they quickly jumped on the issue; before their diagnostic tool was completed, it was pulled and Ricki said “Okay I know what’s wrong, and we’ll be able to fix it tomorrow morning when we get the parts.” That same day, we were charged $406.00. The service workers came back the following morning and attempted repair the dryer, and it was insufficient. They said they had to return the following day with another part. Next morning, service guy arrived, and said that the dryer was not operational because of another issue, but it couldn’t be fixed until the following morning. My husband spoke with management at the business, and got the service call rescheduled same day that afternoon. The service worker came out attempted to repair…he came upstairs and told us that it was not fixable and we should just get another dryer. The situation was very disconcerting as we thought we’d be able to dry clothes ASAP. He said the money would be refunded minus the initial service visit. A check was brought to our house…for $200.00. We questioned it because, one; we felt like we shouldn’t have paid for the initial service charge (definitely one-sided on our part, which we later understood, and they did come out to run a diagnostic, so for that we recanted to aggressively request the refund of $104 for the first visit). My husband and I called the office to dispute the missing $100. The manager, Jolie, said that was for the vent cleaning/replacement. We told her that we weren’t informed of the vent cleaning/replacement, and we were under the impression all services done was a part of the service repair; we’re novices! She said Ricki would call us. He did. We also told him we didn’t agree to the vent cleaning/replacement. We were told the service repair was just that, repairing the issue for resolution, however they saw fit. He then became very belligerent over the phone, starting cursing at us and said “You’re beat out of that money”. Now, my husband and I share a few degrees and certs between us, however; we know the what “beat” means with any financial transaction. I then called to speak with management about our interaction with Ricki, but the manager was “not in the office yet”. I left my name and number for her twice…still didn’t get a call back. The next day, I ordered a new dryer from Lowes; included in the price was a vent cleaning/replacement. I explained to Lowe’s that we had it replaced a couple of days ago. They said “Doesn’t matter, we have to use our own…didn’t the repair company explain that to you” ….NO, they did not. It was poignant to experience the lack of professionalism we have with Dave’s Appliance Repair. We were misinformed, we were overcharged and we blatantly and verbally disrespected. I do not recommend this business. I will not give them any more business. I should have read the reviews outside of Facebook. Do not give this company your dollars!

We were pleased with the service we received from Dave’s on our Samsung refrigerator. Dave’s tech Britany, very lovely. Britney arrived on time and took apart the fridge pretty quickly. Once the problem was diagnosed, we were pleased to hear Britney had the right part on her truck. I would say the total service time was about an hour. Britney was charming and professional. The only complaint I have is that it was a bit pricey at $339 for roughly a thirty-dollar part plus labor. In the end, our refrigerator is fixed, I have no idea how to service refrigerators, so we are all paying for Dave’s technician's knowledge. If we had another appliance issue, I would most likely use Dave’s appliance repair again. As a footnote, I think if you started comparing prices if you indeed knew what was wrong with your appliance and the parts needed, labor prices from Sears, Best Buy, Daves, and others would all be within a hundred bucks of what we were charged give or take.

This place is a rip off and they are incompetent. I would recommend staying far away from them. I wish I had read the reviews before using them because it looks like numerous people have had an almost identical experience. Initially, I had them repair my dishwasher. They replaced the control panel which was more than $300. Then, the dishwasher broke a couple of months later and they wanted to do the same thing again. We decided to replace the dishwasher. When they installed the new dishwasher they forgot to connect the drain so that when I ran it, it flooded my kitchen. Just beyond the warranty, the new dishwasher was malfunctioning and not drying the dishes. They came out and said it was a control panel issue. They replaced the control panel on the newer dishwasher for another $300+ and it didn't fix the problem. They then claimed it was another part that they needed. In the meantime, they forgot to hook the dishwasher back up to the drain again, and the kitchen had water all over the floor. Then, they were rude an ignorant when I called to confirm that it was hooked up properly. Just for icing on the cake, they said that the technician told us not to use it. That was an outright lie because we asked the question specifically about using it while we waited for the new part. This place can't be trusted and they were unapologetic and rude to a longtime customer. I will never use them again and strongly suggest you also consider staying away.

We called Dave's regarding our dryer that would not start. They scheduled an appt. for the next afternoon and asked for a credit card # in advance for the service call (approx $103.00 incl tax) That same evening we did some investigating on our own and found a tripped circuit breaker that alleviated the malfunction. When we notified them that it was fixed they refunded our $$ the next AM without a problem. We wouldn't hesitate to call them again in the future!

ABSOLUTE DISCRACE! I called Dave's for a dryer vent cleaning and was told I had to pay 140$ deposit for someone to come out JUST to look where the vent was located. I was told whatever the cost was would be subtracted from the deposit. 2 men came, looked and saw the vent was on the roof, they said they did not bring a ladder, which was a lie because there was one on their truck. I was also told it was too cold outside. They then gave me an estimate for 450.00$. I called in an attempt to get my deposit back considering how unprofessional the men were, and was rudely told that I took up a time slot that could have gone to someone else. They were here for 5 minutes. DISGUSTING COSTUMER SERVICE!
