Appliance Repair reviews in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania

Out 3 times. Didn't spend more than 5 minutes looking at my appliance. Ordered 1 part, wasn't the correct part, ordered second part appliance still was not fixed. Finally blamed it on my hot water not being hot enough. 180 degrees. LOL. I looked on line what the problem could be, got the part and fixed it myself. This is truly incompetence. It took me 5 minutes to replace the part and I had the part in 3 days. This place has been trying to fix it for over a month. Horrible!!!!

Terrible customer service with regard to scheduling and blatant lies by Baker associate Gianna. I scheduled an appointment with Lowes / Frigidare for service on my 3 month old refrigerator, they recommended Baker Appliance Repair. Appointment confirmed for Thursday between 8am and Noon. I received a voice mail asking if I would like to move the appt up to Wednesday, as they had a cancellation and for me to contact them if Wednesday worked with my schedule and that the appt would remain for Thursday if they did not hear back from me. I did not respond. A Baker tech called me at 8am on Wednesday stating he was at my house. I advised him the appt was for Thursday. He apologized and said he would tell the office. I waited on Thursday for the repair service to arrive and called after 9am (when their office opens) and spoke with Gianna, to inquire when a tech might arrive and was told my appointment was for Wednesday, yesterday, and they were all booked up for Thursday.

Repair man arrived within allotted 3 hour window. He was very courteous. He got right down to work assessing problem with my dishwasher and found the problem right away, a piece of glass touching the motor, preventing it from doing its job. He tested the machine afterward to make sure it was running properly. Repair price was reasonable.

I am not calling this company back for the third time to repair the same thing. I see where there is some kind of separation where the ice is forming. This gentleman told us the issue was coming from the door. We agreed to the repair and Baker ordered the parts. We did not hear back from them for over a month so we decided to send an email that was not responded too. I called and I was told they don't always get to the emails 🤦🏽♂️. So I asked about our parts and I was told the parts have been sitting there for a while 🤦🏽♂️. So we schedule and the guy comes out and "fixes" the issue (replaced all the insulation in the door). We noticed the frost coming back in the same area. Baker scheduled another repair because apparently the company "forgot to put sealant" with the parts the first time. Well Baker comes back out again and puts the sealant inside the door this time. During this visit, I pointed out the area on the picture and asked if it's possible there is something going on in this area? The gentleman told me "no, it's coming from the door". So after putting the sealant in he told us to wait 24hours before opening the door too much. Well as you can see, the issue remains. Definitely not calling or using this company again.
Another odd thing is this gentleman has been in our home 3times (the first was the initial visit) and for some reason I have to acknowledge him because he did not more than once acknowledge me🤔 (if I did not open the door). He definitely says something at the door but aside from that he acted like I wasn't in my own home so of course I say "hello"🤦🏽♂️.

I have used this company before and it never was an issue that I had to wait days for a part to be ordered. This last time my large upright freezer temperature controller went. They dispatched someone right away; which was great. When the tech tells me that he can get the part in 2 days (Saturday) but he doesn't work weekends and would have to wait till later on in the week for installation, I just collapsed. Told him I won't need a freezer next week cause my food would be trashed.
I called a bunch of companies and finally found someone who was able to get the part while I was on the phone and scheduled me 1.5 hours later. -
Only a few people will repair a Bosch dishwasher. Bakers is one . Second time they have come to fix different issues. Each time they have serviced us they were professional polite and very knowledgeable about the problem. Sorry to read some of the other reviews but our tech, Brett, was great. Would use them again.

I have had so much trouble with my washer but it is under warranty. The warranty company assigns various 3rd party repair companies and let me tell you, I've had some ringers. One repairman diagnosed my washer over the phone without coming out to see it because he had 45 years of experience. I guess this makes him the Oracle of washers? Bakers was the 4th company assigned and they are fair superior to the rest. Reliable, punctual, courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. From the office who calls you to schedule your appointments, to the wonderful technician, Brett, who comes out. I know who to call when I need a repairman now!

Bakers sent the nicest repair tech to my house to fix my Speed Queen. He arrived within the window, was polite and friendly and had the repair done superfast under the warranty! He even took steps to prevent issue in future. Completely thrilled with them.

Baker’s came out to assess our refrigerator, and were back two days later to repair. Extremely communicative, and the repairman was very professional and respectful. 12/10 experience. Thank you!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I used Baker to repair my range under warranty. Range is 2 yrs old & computer panel has been replaced 3 times. This time after computer replace it still doesn’t work. Tech was here Nov 2 ,ordered part and back Nov 14 to install. Now we need a wire harness. Tech says earliest install would be next monday, a full week. I asked how we could expedite since oven is kaput for 3 weeks. Can they expedite part overnight? Tech didn’t want to hear it, says 1week to install. What if the harness doesn’t solve the issue? Then we are back to square one ordering parts and waiting week(s). Next week is Thanksgiving, no oven. Baker not willing to make us a priority with this issue going on 3 weeks. After heated words, tech walked out and says he will not return to our house. Spoke to owner of Baker Appl.- not willing to expedite part and said tech refuses to service us. I asked that he send someone else, no can do. Recommended we get another service company. Owner not willing to accommodate us in any way. Beware of Baker.

If I could give more stars I would.
Good communication, Tech was knowledgeable, identified problem and got my oven parts asap for completion.
On time, personable & efficient. I would recommend Baker Appliance Repair. -
I called Bosch for a dishwasher repair, and they sent Bakers Appliance Repair for the service. The diagnosis went well, but the dishwasher was not put back together properly and loose screws were found.

Don't waste your time. I was forced to use Baker due to a warranty on my dishwasher. Tech came out and spent maybe 5 minutes before stating that he couldn't get the dishwasher out from under the counter. Told me that it was my problem and I could call them back if I could get it out.
I guess he didn't want to work that day since I had Ralph Messina and Sons take a look and they had it out almost immediately and did the repair flawlessly. -
I as given Bakers Appliance by the warranty company. Bakers is a scam. What they do is set an appointment and never show up then bill the warranty company and then you warranty company bills you. There is no way to get out of it because they both say it’s not their fault. If you want to pay money and get no service then Baker is the one to call. A total SCAM.

I called for a warranty repair on a washer and they sent a tech out to inspect the same day. He needed to order a part, which came by the end of the week. When the tech came back to replace the part he swapped everything out within 15 minutes.
Couldn’t have asked for a better experience in terms of time and service. -
Had them dispatched for a fridge repair. They were hired by my warranty company to fix the fridge but never showed up and refused service.

Baker’s answered right away and had the problem fixed quicker than I expected. The Google reviews almost deterred me, but these guys were great!

I recently used Baker's Appliance Repair for my Frigidaire warranty claim. The communication for setting up the appointment was good and technician was on-time. He identified the simple issue quickly and fixed it right away. Overall a smooth experience.

Had an appointment today for our Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator which started making a motor noise and squeaking sound. I booked the appointment online and was very easy.
The repair technician was scheduled for 10-1 pm. The tech arrived early and called to say he was 5 minutes away.
Tech was able to fix refrigerator motor problem and was very professional and very knowledgeable! Didn’t know what to expect from Bakers but will definitely use them again and highly recommend them for your repairs!
Our experience was exceptional!
Thanks Baker’s!

No complaints about my experience. They called right away to confirm the appointment (for the following Tuesday). The night before (Monday), they called again to confirm the precise window. Arrived on time and diagnosed the problem, promised to order the necessary part and return for installation. Got a call the very next day (Wednesday) confirming an appointment for the following day (Thursday). Arrived on time and did the job.

Had a very positive experience with Baker's Appliance Repair. Had a problem with my dishwasher purchased from Lowe's, had a Protection Plan, and so contacted Lowe's. Baker's was one of the local options for service. So glad I selected them! From the scheduling of the service to the professionalism of the repair tech, etc. the experience was very positive. Would definitely call them for any other appliance repair issues.
