Electrical reviews in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania

Cody and Jake (and Francis) are very professional and have much integrity. They respected our property and time. They completed the projects just as planed. Have already recommended to others and will be using Okot for all our future electrical needs.

Okot Electric is amazing, and I highly recommend them for all of your electrical needs! From the initial call to set up the free estimate, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Cody was able to come out shortly after I called to listen to the work we wanted completed. He gave his suggestions and the best way Okot could go about getting the work done. He explained the process very well for each item and answered every question I had. After we approved the estimate, which was very fair, Francis and his team came out to complete the work. Francis is amazing also and made sure to walk around and look at each item he would be working on before starting, to make sure he knew what we were having done and the best way to accomplish it. Any questions I had on completing an item and the potential changes I wanted to make, he explained the options to get it done and left it up to me. Francis is very friendly and personable and is very thoughtful and thorough while working.

The work we had done was adding an outlet in the garage, an outlet behind the tv, switching out an outlet to a gfci, and troubleshooting a light switch that kept tripping the breaker. I also decided to add another outlet that wasn't on the initial estimate, and Francis had no issue getting that done as well. When I wasn't sure where I wanted that added outlet, he explained they could make an access hole in the current wall or make the hole from downstairs, explaining the process for each option and finding out how I wanted it done.

Sorry if this review is long, but when you find an amazing company from top to bottom, I wanted to make sure that message was conveyed. It's not typically easy to find such a great company that does amazing work and everyone is so friendly and helpful! I know we'll have more work needing to be done in the future and will definitely be calling Okot!

We used Okot Ekectric LLC to do work for us at new home. There were many things that needed updating and replacing, while other things needed sorting out.
They were professional from the start, starting with answering the phone.
I called 2 other companies in my area and didn’t receive any calls back! When I called Okot, the phone was answered promptly and professionally.
When they initially came to look at what was needed, they took the time to “listen” and not once did we feel hurried.
Any questions we had were answered.
The electricians that worked on site were professionals and courteous. (Very clean too)
They explained what tasks would be done daily when on site.
In the end, we were thrilled with all of their hard work and professionalism.
We will continue using this company for any of our electrical needs.
Fantastic company.

Update: June 22/2024
Again, we chose to use this Okot when installing an electric car charger for our short term rental/Airbnb.
They were very quick to come out to assess and came back with a quote and knowing that we were anxious to open our business. No waiting game.
They managed to get us scheduled very quickly, as they knew we were anxious to open our doors.
This is the second time we used this company and maintain that we only have great things to say.
Again, I reiterate the professionalism..
Explaining any thing we needed to have explained to us was done in an easy manner.
Men on the job today worked tirelessly through this horrible heat wave we are currently experiencing.
They did their hard work, which included trenching outside.
At the end of project, everything was left tidy and spotless.
(No mess was left behind)
I cannot say that we would use a different company in the future for anything electrical.
Another great job by a fantastic group of people.
They’ve earned another five star rating from me!

Update:
Came out again today to do some work. Always a pleasure.
Will continue to use this company.
Another 5 stars from us.

Phillips, Jake, and the whole team did a fantastic job adding recessed lights to two rooms in our house. Highly recommend for prompt, kind, and professional service.

Excellent service. Jake explained everything to me, wrote me an estimate, and I scheduled the work to be done the following week. I am very thankful I called.

I had an electric car outdoor charging station installed and my entire experience with Okot Electric was absolutely wonderful! Cody arrived right on time to complete a swift consultation with what a wanted to do and gave me a very fair price (I had two other electricians give me higher prices). Then, a week later, Philips and Francis arrived to complete the job. They worked diligently and were very clean and tidy. There was even a small bump in the project when the EVSE took a different size conduit then what was being used, and the guys went out of their way to change their plan a bit and get another size conduit to fit. They finished all in the same day, and it looks and works perfectly! Thanks so much guys! I recommend them over everyone else.

Jake from OKOT Electric did a superb job of resolving the power issues I was experiencing. Prompt, professional, and extremely considerate in prioritizing what was a potentially dangerous situation. I am deeply grateful for his help & would highly recommend OKOT.

I enjoyed working with them and they were very flexible. The whole process was seamless. Somebody came to give a quote for the work, and they were very accommodating of my schedule changes. The work itself was also done really well and And in a way that would save me money in the long run

Jake was very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. We would call on him again! Also the guy who dropped off our quote was also very professional and friendly.

Jake and his co-worker arrived early and called me prior to ask if that was okay. He was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable of his job. We needed this work done ASAP and Okot came the very next morning! I would definitely recommend Jake and Okot Electric to everyone!

Excellent service by Jake in fixing my electrical issue, he was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. He explained different options to resolve my problem, and was efficient with his work. Fair pricing and very professional experience overall.

Jake and David showed up exactly as scheduled and completed the installation within the time frame originally stated. Jake even took the time to check out another plug that wasn't planned and replaced it. Thank you! All of the gentlemen, Phillips, Cody, Jake and David were such personable, knowledgeable young men. Okot was a great company to work with. We will definitely call on them for any additional electrical work.

Jacob and his partner were very quick and professional during our inspection. Also very detailed and Informative. Would highly recommend them. Also the office is friendly as well. Great communication as they are on there way to the sight.

After having a bad experience trying to book with another electrician, booking with OKOT was a breeze! Everyone I talked to was very nice and my service was scheduled quickly. The technician, Jake, was awesome - he figured out the issue and finished the job in less than 2 hours, and even cleaned up after himself. Will definitely call OKOT again the next time I need an electrician!

Okot Electric did a fantastic job for me, they responded in a timely manner.. I own a small contracting business, David’s Improvements, I specialize in kitchens and bathrooms, one of my customers needed a new service installed. This company did a five star job. they answer their phone, or they get back to you ASAP, they are polite. They are courteous, they text you the email you, etc. when they are coming and when they are finished, one of the great things I like, is they did not ask for a deposit, or did they ask for any monies until they were completely finished. For a company that can complete a job in the amount of time that it takes them, This is a fantastic asset.. their technicians are very professional, and I enjoyed both of them and trusted both of them on my job site. If you look at my reviews, you’ll see I go above and beyond for my customers and I believe this company meets my standards. I definitely will start using this company full-time. I don’t do a lot of electrical services but I will refer them to my customers and or if I need work completed. Once again, I give this company a five star review and recommend them highly.

Jake at Okot Electric came out and did a great job. I needed new fixtures, outlets and a general inspection. He was courteous, and very clean. I intend to use Okot in the very near future.

Jake did a great job relocating an electrical outlet. He was very considerate using protective shoe covers upon entry to our home. Very courteous and knowledgeable pointing out issues that May need further consideration of service.

Below is the review that I left 8 months ago on Google.
Since then Okot has returned to hang lighting fixtures and replace a few more smart switches. Not only are they are excellent at what they do, they are pleasant, patient, customer focused, attentive to small details including knowing that lighting fixtures of a certain weight require different boxes to support them. They modified several vintage lighting fixtures to fit height requirements. I only trust them to do the electrical in my home.

My home is now smarter than I am! Lol… I will forgo taking photos of my smart switches and all new receptacles… but I will share a few photographs of the fixtures that they did an outstanding job on.

You will not be disappointed because they serve customers as servants of Jesus Christ.

Awesome, indeed! (Words of the previous reviewer!)
I would like to share my gratitude and praise for an outstanding job completed by Philips OKOT and his team. They were precise, patient, thorough, and committed to doing things right, correcting numerous mistakes and oversights by 3 previous contractors. Philips made suggestions on the right and best way to do things in my 120 year old home. I felt confident about everything they did to make it a safe dwelling. He ran dedicated circuits where necessary and addressed upgrades to meet current code requirements. I loved that they were experienced in smart switches as well. I didn’t have to explain what needed to be done.
There were many obstacles and hurdles that they had to overcome to achieve a fully inspected dwelling. Not to mention that they had to do this AFTER walls were finished instead of prior to drywall finishing. But, they did it with a very pleasant and positive attitude even when the schedule had to be extended. They were punctual and always informed me of any changes to the schedule and worked around my schedule as well. They were one of the few contractors that was not put off by questions and suggestions that I have had the opportunity to work with.
I would like to call out Okot’s use of technology to make things easier and for efficient for the ir team and for the customer. Their automated systems really worked well and streamlined our communications.
I whole heartedly give my recommendation to use OKOT for any electrical needs you have.
I look forward to our next engagement to retire the unfinished basement.
Thank you Philips, Francois, and Cody for a stellar job.

Cody kept me informed of his arrival ahead of time and was amazing. He identified the problem with my outdoor Christmas lights in about 5 seconds, then he rewired my recently installed ceiling fan so that I can turn the light in the fan on by using my wall switch, instead of solely depending on the remote. And all he charged me was the standard service fee. In addition, Cody was very professional and I felt very comfortable having him in my home.

Thank you Okot Electric LLC . We would recommend this company to anyone who needs electrical work. They did a professional job from start to finish. Once we met Phillips we knew we were going with this company. He told us that he would be sending out two electricians to handle the job. Thank you Jake and David!!! We are sooo pleased with the work that was done!!! Your professionalism and expertise was on point!!! Praise the Lord!! Side note/ the price was reasonable.

Okot Electric is unmatched. Rarely do you experience service like Philips and his team. They listen to you, consider your needs, and just want to help. You can trust them 100%

We’ve hired them twice. Once to install two ring cameras outside our home. And second, on a new construction project. They are doing the electrical for the whole house. I can’t recommend Okot Electric enough, just call.
