Reviews of local pros in Malvern, Pennsylvania

I’ve used Burkholder for a patio installation and landscape design, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience from start to finish. I worked with both Craig and Brent, and they were professional, friendly, and prompt. Also, I found Burkholder’s prices to be very fair. I’m very satisfied with their service and would recommend them to anyone!

Burkholder did a great job on our patio and landscaping. They helped us design a solution that met our needs. The installation team was very professional and worked hard to complete our project on-time. We are very glad we chose Burkholder Brothers for our project.

Burkholder Brothers did a major outdoor project at our home including a walkway, a large patio, a full outdoor kitchen, pool, and complete sod and landscaping. The work was impeccable. We could not be happier with the outcome and level of service. Everyone at the company is outstanding. Would highly recommend.

Burkholder Brothers did a great job on refurbishing our front gardens and walk way. The replaced our aged cement sidewalk with a new paver walk. The workers cleaned up every day, were on time, and did a fantastic job. They also redid our gardens with all new plants and lighting. Several new plants did not fair well over the sever dry summer. They replaced the plants, with no hassle. I would use them again for any future projects.

Working with Burkholder was a true pleasure. These guys are the perfect one-stop-shopping for everything from design, construction, and maintenance. Every step of the process for our new outdoor living space was better than the next. At our initial design meeting with Barry and Deb, they listened to our “want list” and then took their incredible experience and talent to add design elements that created a cohesive and elegant space.

Our project manager, Tim, was timely and communicative throughout the process. Project start and end dates were exactly as anticipated. Our construction crew was awesome. Their talent in constructing an ~80ft curved retaining wall, cutting practically every stone was meticulous and refined. Not to mention, they were super friendly and often entertained *many* questions from our kids who loved watching them.

Marisa knocked our landscape plan out of the park. She incorporated our current plantings and added others to create privacy, beauty, and functionality. The uplighting, wall lighting, and path lighting is just stunning! Brent and his team came in and implemented the landscape plan in under a week - including sod, mulch, and Marisa’s gorgeous plan. Also a big thanks to Mark and team who installed irrigation that we control from an app!

If you’re looking for a backyard oasis, choose Burkholder! Their attention to detail is unmatched. They are reliable, talented, and we are beyond happy with the product. Thank you to the entire Burkholder Team!

This is the second project we’ve done with Burkholder Bros. Once again, we are simply thrilled with the final product. Highly recommend Craig and Chris for their creativity, practical advice, quality of work, and level of consistency in communication. Projects included multiple patios (in a tricky small space), pergola, walkways, garden beds, and beautiful plantings.

I originally met with Burkholder Brothers to price out a lawn sprinkler system for my residence. They were very responsive and I met with Mark Burkholder to discuss my options. They submitted a proposal and I felt theirs was the best compared to the three submitted. It was a good value, a fair price, and I was immediately trusting of Mark's capability and demeanor. After I awarded Mark the business and progressed in the process, I added on additional work with them that included a significant amount of hardscaping and landscaping. This time it was Barry Burkholder who gave me comfort - once again, a trustworthy individual that leaves you with the impression that you are in good hands. The job was completed ahead of schedule and their entire staff was fantastic - hard working, courteous, and they keep a very clean work space. This is an exceptional family business and do fantastic, high quality work at a fair price. I will likely broaden my relationship with them given how they already performed in these three areas. I highly recommend Burkholder Brothers.

Excellent, professional and impeccable work by Barry, Brent and their staff. The communication and planning was excellent every step of the way with our landscaping project. Personalized attention and we really loved the fact that this company is specialized with lawn, plant and tree experts, among others. They are a class act! We have Burkholder's on the schedule for our Spring 2024 landscaping. We give a stellar recommendation and hope you will utilize this outstanding company for your landscaping, lawn and arbor needs.

We had an excellent experience using Burkholder. Barry and Brent were fantastic to work with. They were very responsive and explained the process all throughout. They redid landscaping at our church building and added landscape lighting. We couldn't be happier with the final product!

After letting our front yard fall to the wayside with half removed, dead, or overgrown plants we reached out to Burkholder to help us rehab the entire front of house landscaping. After a quick chat about what we were looking for Barry had a design over for us to review and I was instantly all in. The design brought in the types of plants we were looking for and updated the contour of the beds to really improve the curbside appeal. On the day of the project Brent and his team were fantastic. They were able to complete the entire process in a single day and it looks absolutely amazing. When I go out to get the mail everyday and I take a look back at the front of the house it reminds me that I made the best possible decision I could have by hiring the Burkholder team.

We have been customers of Burkholder for a few years and really LOVE their attention to detail, their follow-up, and the overall quality of the work. Our property has never looked better!

Burkholder designed and built a beautiful landscape around a new pool in a challenging space with a slope. Their design was creative and perfectly accommodated a ramp for wheelchair access. They worked well with the pool contractor and maintained excellent communication with me throughout the project. Their entire team worked hard and was very professional. We absolutely love our new backyard and would highly recommend Burkholder!

We had an excellent experience with Burkholder Brothers. They removed our 30-year-old deck and replaced it with a patio. From the first visit to our house, Barry listened to our needs and gave us a design that exceeded our expectations. Tim and his entire team did an incredible job and provided a great customer experience! We received excellent communication throughout the job and all of our questions were answered. We highly recommend them.

Burkholder Brothers installed our backyard patio with a fire pit and built-in grill. Craig worked with us with a design we liked and helped us stay within our budget. He was realistic about timing and we didn't have to wait very long for construction to start. The project was finished in a timely manner and looked great. We added lighting and landscaping around the patio that brings the whole look together. Everyone we worked with was friendly and responsive. We would highly recommend them.

Team at Burkholder Brothers are Top Notch they care about their customers and they provide excellent customer service and quality in their work. Family owned and operated business who exceeds expectations. Highly recommend for your next project.

Burkholder always does great work. Recently I hired them to tear out and replace my garden with everything newly designed in house. They did a great job. They installed drains for my downspouts, regraded, amended my soil and replanted everything, including a transplant of a tree from my back yard. I am happy with all their work and would hire them again. These guys know how to manage a business.

We are so glad that we chose Burkholder Brothers to construct our walkway. They are wonderful to work with and did a beautiful job.

We hired Burkholder to complete a project in our backyard that consisted of removing an old deck, installing a new stone patio, landscaping, and lighting. Burkholder was amazing to work with from start to finish. Craig helped us design our whole project and sent us updated digital pictures along the way of what our new backyard would look like. He was thorough, professional and a joy to work with. Chris, Brent and their crew came in to complete the patio, landscaping and lighting and we were so impressed with how professional, organized, communicative, and clean they were throughout the project. We could not be happier with how our project turned out. We would highly recommend them and cannot wait to use them for any future needs!!

We are very happy with Burkholder Brothers. Love our landscaping - they really went the extra mile when we wanted a couple plants rearranged during installation. They're attentive, timely and they want to make sure the job is right for the customer.

We have used Burkholder for a number of projects from a new patio and deck to small lanscaping jobs. We have been very happy with their quality and design.

Such a wonderful experience! The process went very quickly and smoothly. Burkholder had not done work for me in the past, so I didn't know what to expect. I called to maybe make an appointment. The woman who took my call was thorough in taking down my information. I got a call back from one of the brothers THE SAME DAY. Got an appointment for a "look -see" the Friday of the same week. Got a written proposal right after the weekend. The job was scheduled just a couple of weeks out, which is remarkable for spring time. The crew arrived exactly when promised and completed the bulk of the work in a matter of hours. Some materials were delayed, but once they arrived the work was completed quickly. It is gorgeous and does exactly what I needed. Barry came out personally to see if I was happy with everything. I have rarely had such a fast and efficient response, especially for an outside project that was weather-dependent and with a contractor that was unknown to me before this job.
