We hired GJL Construction and paid half the contracted costs.I had to fire George Lawrence owner because of the poor workmanship. He would show up once a week between 2.0 and 3.75 hours. All of the work completed except one roughed in wall needs to be re-done. Includes two windows, Window Capping and refrigerant lines for a split heating and AC unit. I have hired other contractors to repair and complete the scope of the original contract. I asked the owner George Lawrence to come to an agreement and refund money that was not spent. He said he would not because I fired him. This is a BAD CONTRACTOR DO NOT HIRE.

George I read your response and the last time we spoke you told me that you would send the itemized list to me for the money spent. We would come to an agreement on the refund. I guess that was another one of your GEORGEISM.

I used the term FIRE because you told me I fired you, I terminated the contract because of your poor work ethic and bad work.

The one roughed in wall I thought was ok also needed to be repaired. Nothing you did could be used. See pictiure below of the wall your built.

When you showed up three hours late and then started with your nonsense. She told you, that if she worked like you, her boss would have fired me by now.

You started with your nonsense and she told you straight on. You came back and told my wife that you were wrong and she was right 300 percent. Your own workers apologized and asked if she was ok.

Update on the room, we hired another contractor and the room is finished. They worked from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM everyday.
The room looks terrific,

I will share with you the written remarks from the other contractors hired in court, You will loose, I may even get more money back.

I am shocked to see 4.5 stars forGJL Construction. As stated prior and George called me a few months ago and said he would return a portion of our payment which I have never scene. I would not let him cut my lawn.

GJL Construction , George was very professional. He came to fix heater, arrived on time and ever got here early!! He was able to assess problem. He then went to his truck and got materials needed to replace boiler pump and pilot!! The work was done in less then a hour and it was on a Saturday morning and I am located in Montgomery County! Great job!!! Give him a call!!! 📞

George helped us with an HVAC installation and we are truly thankful for his support. He was professional, reliable and always quick to respond. He guided us through the entire process and even helped resolve some tricky HOA and township documentation. After job was finished test, the problem, make sure nothing was default. Call me a hour after to check.Was any problems?Everything was fine.I will recommend anyone to have electric problem.Go to this company. Good Work!!

Professional and efficient,

This placed installed hvac to my house 1 year ago. Now i call everyday for repairs and they do not answer the phone.

The work was done quickly and neatly. Everything promised was done. Had all ducts replaced. Our system is working better than ever.

A loud sounds was coming from the compressor of my new unit, and needed a new hard start kit. Eric came out immediately, was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient in his work!

Great company, very responsive and would recommend them to anyone that needs HVAC services.

Eric was prompt and very professional. He clearly explained the problem and what had to be done to fix it. He kept me informed when the part needed did not arrive as expected. If I ever have another issue with my furnace, I will absolutely call and ask for him.

Eric came in within an hour of reporting the issue in our AC, checked multiple things, added more Freon and fixed the leak. AC back up and running! Thank you! very efficient

5-Stars for the Al-Kaun Co. team!! (Ronnie and Eric, thank you!) We needed to have a steam humidifier installed on our home's HVAC (semi-urgently), and Ronnie did her absolute best to make that happen. Eric (our tech) was quick to survey, told us the job requirements (water, power, etc.), and returned within 1-day of us preparing the area for Al-Kaun's installation. Eric was polite, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful in educating us on the do's & don'ts of caring for our particular system. We will absolutely use Al-Kaun's services in the future and I do not hesitate in writing this 5-star review in recognition of their work.

Great service, very polite, they actually got the job done on time without a bunch of change orderslike some of these there guys. And the owner John even came to see the house and kept in contact through the whole thing. Would recommend to anyone. Best in Philly.
