We thought we had an outside leak, so we called a plumber we had used before, but didn’t get a call back. A co-worker then recommended Cabrera & Sons Heating & Air Conditioning. I gave them a call, and the person I spoke with was very polite. They scheduled us for an appointment the next day. Jeff and Diego called about 20 minutes before arriving to let us know they were on their way. When they got here, they were really friendly, professional, and quickly found the problem. It turned out our outside faucet for the garden hose was leaking. They fixed it in about 15 minutes. I was so impressed with how everything went that I called right after to let them know what a great job their team did. We will definitely use them again for any plumbing needs in Philadelphia and highly recommend their services to others.

we were really impressed with our experience with cabrera & sons heating & air conditioning. we had an emergency late at night in philadelphia when our waste pipe got backed up, so we called and spoke to someone right away. about 45 minutes later, jeff showed up and got straight to work. he was very professional and friendly, explained each step as he diagnosed and repaired the issue, and made sure we understood what was going on. the whole process, from our first call to having our plumbing fixed, took less than two hours. we really appreciated how fast and efficient everything was, especially so late at night. we would definitely call again for any plumbing problems.

jeff at Cabrera & Sons Heating & Air Conditioning has helped me with several plumbing jobs at my home, and he’ll be the first plumber I call next time too. a few years back, i had a frozen pipe burst, and a friend told me about him. he fixed it quickly and didn't charge too much. more recently, we had issues with our gas water heater, and he and his crew did their best to keep it going since a new one wouldn’t meet code due to updated exhaust rules. finally, we switched to an electric water heater. his team was friendly, knew their stuff, explained the options, and cleaned everything up when they were done. i usually handle simple plumbing repairs myself, but when it gets tricky, i call them.

We looked at several plumbers before deciding who would install our new hot water heater. The thing that really stood out was how genuinely helpful the team was. I had never had a water heater put in before, so I had tons of questions—some of them came up because of what other plumbing companies had told me. He took photos of the old water heater, which had a dent from shipping (from a different supplier), just to keep everything documented. He also installed a leak alarm on the new water heater so I’d be warned if there was ever a problem, and he put in a new handle for the gas shutoff, since the old one was really hard to turn. After the installation, we did run into a small issue. The leak alarm went off on a holiday afternoon, and there was a slow drip from a fitting on top of the tank. Even though the office was closed for the holiday, Malik still picked up the phone and made sure we were taken care of. Gerald, the owner, came out personally in the cold and snow to tighten the connections and make sure everything was sealed up perfectly. I can’t say enough good things about this plumbing company. They really go above and beyond, and I’ll be calling them for any plumbing needs in the future. Plus, their pricing was very reasonable, and they didn’t charge us anything extra for the holiday visit.

Earlier this year, i needed to have my pressure tank replaced because the bladder inside had failed. Thankfully, it was still covered under warranty. malik, the plumber who came out, explained some possible reasons why the bladder might have failed. I have a whole house water filter, and i kept noticing black particles in the bottom of the filter housing, plus the filter itself was turning a dark tan color. malik suggested that the well might need to be flushed, and also recommended replacing the pump since it was about 20 years old and running more often than normal. We set up a time to have the well flushed and the pump replaced. I was glad malik was sent again because he already knew all the background on my plumbing issues. While he worked, i had a bunch of questions, and malik was great about answering them. If he didn’t know something right away, he took the time to call and find out. I really appreciated how thorough and patient he was. He worked efficiently, was very professional, and made it easy to talk about what was going on with my plumbing. Overall, i’m very happy with the service and grateful for such a knowledgeable plumber.
