I recently used Gravener Heating and Air Conditioning and was very satisfied with the experience. Initially, I had thought my furnace was near the end of its life after being told by others that it was much older than it actually was and had an unfixable problem. I called Gravener to request a quote for a furnace replacement but during the first visit Jim was able to quickly diagnose the problem as a much smaller, common repair; he also informed me of my furnace's correct age - nearly half as old as I was originally told. This kind of honesty and professionalism should not be taken for granted. He returned for a second appointment and took care of the issue in a timely, professional manner, and at a cost which was very reasonable. I already have plans to use Gravener again for another non-emergency HVAC related upgrade to my house, and would not hesitate recommending them to anyone needing HVAC service.

I am updating my review from two years ago because I used Gravener again for service. My furnace was not firing up its gas burner and it was the middle of a January cold spell. They were able to get a technician (Brian) to my house about an hour after I called. The technician was very professional and fixed the problem quickly and at a reasonable cost.

[PREVIOUS REVIEW BEGINS] Since many will not read past the first few lines, let me say I was very satisfied with the service provided by Gravener's. Not only did they make the repair ahead of time, but they called me to give me an estimate of the costs and were able to re-schedule twice to an earlier time. I gave them five stars for a timely repair and for customer service. I highly recommend them.

Gravener's scheduled my service for the afternoon of the day following my call. On the scheduled date, they called to let me know of an opening that morning if I were available and I was. The serviceman was polite and professional and was able to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, because of the age of the furnace, the replacement parts would need to be ordered and could take a couple of days. Gravener's followed up that day with a call to let me know the part was ordered and would be available in two days, so we scheduled an appointment for the afternoon of that day. I was surprised when I received a call the following afternoon that not only did they have the part, but the same serviceman was available to install it if I were available. I was and it took about a quarter-hour for the repair and inspection. This occurred in mid-November; although it was warm for this time of the year, it was still an uncomfortable temperature in the 60s, so I was very happy to get a quick resolution before more serious winter weather came.
