We at LifePointe Alliance Church in Mars, PA are extremely satisfied and pleased with the quality and proficiency fo North Hills Crane Services. The lighted cross on top of our church was in need of repair. Ryan and his crew first came to bring the cross down. Then once the cross was fixed, North Hills Crane Services came back to return the cross to the peak of our church building. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone needing the services of a crane!

North Hills Tree Service has been the most dependable and reasonably priced tree service in the Pittsburgh area for all tree services at my home for the past 10 years. Most recently, I had a couple large limbs that fell due to the recent storms this year. I requested a quote from Ryan and a site visit to assess the fallen limbs was completed within a week.

The quote was very reasonable, and the company was willing to remove a portion of a limb from our neighbor's yard. The work was completed within a couple weeks after contacting Ryan. I highly recommend North Hills Tree Service for any and all tree service needs you may need.

We have used North Hills Tree Service multiple times over the years. They always have provided knowledgable and thorough service. We have recommended them to our neighbors and they have done repeat service for them as well. A great experience from dealing with scheduling, estimate visit and day of work.

Had such a great experience using NHTS. Ryan came out and actually spent time walking our property with me, and gave me a ton of information that I didn’t even think to ask about. We came from a townhouse and having a house with a LOT of tree and landscape maintenance is new to us. He worked within our budget and offered a fair price. Two other companies came for quotes and the guys were here for maybe 15 minutes. The crew was SO fast and extremely professional. Took down two large maples next to our house, among other smaller trees and ground out a bunch of stumps. He followed up after to make sure we were satisfied. I will be using them for all our tree needs to forward!

Current Review:
The loss of a tree is a distressing event, like losing a stalwart friend; and, when my eyes are accustomed to admiring the same majestic trees in my yard across the seasons, the empty places where they used to stand are disorienting and disconcerting. I have battled warming climate, fungal infections, drought and tropical rainstorms, and invasive insects. In recent summers, it has appeared that the “bad guys” are winning.

Who helps to soften the demise of green and growing things? The crew from North Hills Tree Service. The same skilled, good-humored, intelligent men return each time I need help. They are prompt, efficient, thorough; and they coordinate seamlessly and safely through all the steps to fell a tree. When they lift and shoulder entire sections of tree trunks, I feel as though the Polish folktale about the hero who could uproot entire oak trees has come to life.

I have noted that team members are as affable with each other as they are agreeable with me.

When the crew leaves, there is *no* remaining clean-up for me to do.

Ryan Dewey is quite organized in scheduling work and always provides a detailed estimate well in advance. I also value Ryan’s support of worthy charities such as St. Jude’s.

I wish all of my remaining trees would remain healthy; but if more need to be felled, I will be calling Ryan Dewey again.

I can’t imagine being a colonist on Mars, on a planet without trees. Trees are magnificent creatures – seemingly infinite in variety, beauty, and the life-giving gifts they provide to all organisms on our planet. I have relished planting and nurturing trees. I hate chopping them down. However, climate change has destroyed my Norway spruce trees, which used to stand like sentries in puffy, blue coats all around my house, and turned them into threatening, black skeletons. My grove of sassafras trees seemed quite happy for a span of over 40 years. I didn’t know their typical life cycle lasts for just 30 years before they cease to defy gravity and plummet, smashing every other growing thing on their way down.

Ryan Dewey, President of North Hills Tree Service, helped to ease some of my distress regarding the saddest of my trees that needed to be felled. His offer was entirely reasonable, and his team arrived a week ahead of schedule. Team members worked together with skill, efficiency, and good humor. They brought down three mature trees (two of which had branches woven among utility lines) in two hours, cleaned up all debris despite failing daylight and falling drizzle, and were as cheerful when they left as when they arrived.

I have several more skeletal spruces to be brought down. I know I’ll be seeing this team again.

NHTS is the best! We had tree work done previously by another company and there is NO comparison. Ryan has top notch employees who did a great job and were very efficient and polite men. Job was well done and did clean up.
My husband owned a tree company years ago so this review comes from experience in this line of work. He would recommend this company to anyone (in fact we already have). Ryan runs a very professional business!!!!

For the third time, the Kingsridge HOA reached out and contracted with North Hills Tree Service and Ryan Dewey to handle the repairs to our water management system and retention ponds. Not only was the work completed within the window promised, even after a very rainy April, Ryan went above and beyond what we expected from his proposal.
