Greatly appreciate the prompt response and the courteous and skilled technicians that came to my home and corrected my issues quickly. They also took the time to show me exactly what was going on so I understood more about my home. Thank you so much for the excellent service!

I'm very happy with the service William and Mike provided. They were friendly, quick, professional, and respectful of our property.

In addition to the contracted work, William was more than happy to discuss some other issues with my property, their potential causes, and what may be needed to fix them which I appreciated.

Positives: The electrician came when he said he would, was professional, and fixed the problem which turned out to be a very simple one of me using non-dimmable bulbs in a fixture with a dimmer switch. Negative: When I called to make the appointment, I asked if there was a service fee to come out and take a look. The person on the phone told me there was no service fee and that the electrician would give me a price once they get here, before they fix the problem. What actually happened was they put in the new bulbs and then told me that the minimum fee was $195.00, which honestly is waaaay overpriced for simply putting in a couple new bulbs. If they had told me on the phone that there was a minimum fee no matter what they fix and that the fee is $195.00, I would have shopped around for a more reasonable price. I feel I was misled by the person who made the appointment. So just bear in mind that if they do anything at all besides just give you an estimate, the fee will be $195.00 minimum no matter what.

Update (two days later). Justin from King Electric called me after seeing my Google review and let me know that the electrician did not follow the proper procedure because he did the work first and then told me the fee after the fact. He was happy to refund a substantial amount of what I paid, and he shared that the electrician has been retrained on the proper procedure. So I updated my review to four stars. I appreciate that King was willing to work with me, and I will now consider using them again for future electricity needs. (They didn't ask me to update the review. I just thought it was the right thing to do).

November 2025: Just had my home re-sided necessitating an exterior light relocation. Josh and Will did a great job collaborating on a solution that saved me money. Now my home is warmer and more secure. Great job as always by King Electric. I'll definitely use them again for my future needs.

April 2025: Had my interior home interior repainted recently and had the electrical outlets and light switches replaced with new cover plates. Great work by Josh and crew.

The service technicians added to panel capacity and added two outlets in my basement. They had to solve some challenges with attaching the outlets to sandstone basement walls. They had a good solution and the outlets are rock solid and exactly where I wanted them. I could not be more pleased with the outcome.

Extremely friendly and efficient. Also very affordable would 1000% recommend them.

Mike did a wonderful job changing our outlet and installing a new bathroom fan. He was friendly, on time, and cleaned up before leaving. We wouldn’t think of using anyone other than King Electric for our electrical work. Highly recommend!

We hired King Electric to install recessed lights and a fan light in our new house. They were great! Someone came out to our house and gave us a quote for the work we wanted to get done. After we approved the work, we scheduled a day to start. They were very good about communication and called, sent emails, and text reminders throughout. Will and Josh came out and they were very efficient and able to finish all the work in one day. They were also really great about cleaning up after, which I appreciated. Overall, I had a really excellent experience and will definitely use them again for other electrician needs!

I saw great comments on a Pittsburgh Reddit board about King Electric. They did not disappoint. They showed up, got to work, told me what was wrong with a few things in my home and fixed them. They were very professional and very friendly - even lending a friend who was visiting and setting up my TV a screwdriver. I highly recommend King Electric to anyone in the Pittsburgh region.

589 dollars to change a 2 prong outlet to a 3 prong is insane when rewiring doesn’t even need done. The guys were very polite though

Knowing nothing about electric work, I called King and Mike showed up. Super professional and friendly. It was a ridiculously simple thing to correct and I’m embarrassed I didn’t think of the fix myself. Regardless I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again in the future

Mike was prompt arriving and was efficient and courteous. He restored power to my house within an hour. He explained the problem and that more repairs will have to be made to bring everything up to code.

King Electric was absolutely phenomenal, specifically Joe and Katie, and I will never use any other electrician other than them. I had an emergency electrical situation and King Electric was the only company that answered their phone and sent someone out to assess the damage same day (within 30 minutes). They were extremely responsive with phone calls/emails and discussed all the damages to me during the assessment. They made it feel like they truly cared about the situation and I felt comfortable with them throughout my time working with them. I highly recommend King Electric for any electrical work that is needed!

King did our whole house electric and we couldn't be happier. They stand behind their work. We're new homeowners and have had them back out to help us understand a few things several times. They have never billed us for these house calls and are happy to talk through things with us. Recently we had them install a few ceiling fans and they did 3 fans in about 4 hours. We have lathe and plaster ceilings. Some of the people who have done work for us have been better at clean up than others (being kind here lol). King is very thorough, including when cleaning up. It might sound like a small thing but cleaning plaster dust is no joke, it gets everywhere. All that is to say that King is through from start to finish. We've never had to clean up after them and really appreciate it.

Prompt service. Everyone from the scheduler to the electrians were great. Arrived on time and repaired our lighting fixture in record time. Highly recommend. Will definitely call next time we're in need.
