The staff is fast, efficient, and friendly. We got expert advice when we couldn't decide on a design or material. We found the pricing to be competitive and the job was completed on time. We had a very small 70-year-old house on a great lot in a great location. We loved our home, but it was becoming way too tight for our growing family. We investigated selling and purchasing a new place, but we could not find anything that matched our tastes at a price that we could afford. So, we did a lot of research and received several bids. We chose the best bid from Solid Construction and Design, and we are glad we did.

Roman and his team are top notch. We were very happy to find that the prices estimated were the prices we paid. Throughout the project I felt the Solid team really wanted us to be happy with the work they were doing and were flexible to work with us to get everything completed to match our vision.

Now our addition blends with the old house so well inside you can’t tell what was added. Our master suite is a wonderful oasis, and our new deck allows us to enjoy our lot even more. Excellent experience. Used this company to repair water damage from a leaking hot water heater. This involved permitting, replacing the water heater, garage drywall replacement, interior drywall installation, texture, baseboard and closet trim repairs, painting and carpet installation. What's significant for me is that the work was performed timely with excellent communication by the Project Manager Vic. Bottom-line, I'll use them again.

July of 2024 I had Solid Construction do a full gut and remodel of my master bath. The entire experience was excellent from the sales coordinator Mike, to the crew manager Misha to one of the main craftsmen Serge. The work was meticulous, and they went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the end product. I had designed the new footprint and was able to pick out all of my fixtures. They have a large showroom with a vast selection of cabinets, flooring and tile. When I did not find my "perfect" shower tile in what they had on hand, I was able to find what I wanted myself and it did not change the price quoted. Although Solid Construction contracted out to have the custom vanity built, they make sure the companies they partner with are of the same high caliber. My vanity and side cabinet came out exactly as I had requested all the way down to specific pull outs.

We had experienced a water leak that caused significant water damage to a few rooms. After the mitigation company was done with their work, we needed a contractor that would be able to fix the damage and not cost us an arm and a leg. I looked over a few contractors on Yelp and had them come out to give us bids for the work and after evaluating the bids, we decided to go with Solid Construction and Design. They were really competitive on their pricing and being a family owned company, assured me they will take care of my house like their own.

Let me start of by saying, their customer service is top tier. Scheduling an estimator to come out was simple and all it took was a phone call to their office and they showed up the same day. The estimator was empathetic to our situation and assured us the work will be complete swiftly and with minimal interference to our daily life. We had ALOT of questions and they made sure that all of our questions were answered and provided guidance and feedback on all of our requests.

We agreed on a schedule and had a crew come out in a few days. They were punctual and professional. While they were working at the house, we went to the company showroom to choose flooring and other materials needed for the rebuild. The showroom is spacious, has a lot of different options for flooring, tile and cabinets. What they don't have in the showroom, they were able to show online in a catalog. Great selection for every design taste. They also have designers in house who will guide you and show you so many different options for your project.

The work was complete on time and on budget. The attention to detail and guidance through this project made us feel at ease knowing they care and this is not just another project but rather they were putting pieces to the puzzle to make the house whole again.

Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the quality of work, the thoroughness and attention to detail. The project manager was always only a phone call away and checked up on the status with the crew as well as us through the whole project. They helped us know what to look for in our design choices, and kept close to the original schedule. Solid Construction and Design remodeled our kitchen and installed new floors. We are very happy with all services provided, starting from first visit to showroom and to the final inspection. All employees professional, efficient, punctual. We always had several options when selected design or materials (and professional advise when had difficulty to choose).
Prices reasonable, and most important, project was completed in time!

We used SCD for a big 1st floor renovation of our home, which included our kitchen, flooring, electrical, and some structural work. Their bid was middle of the pack in terms of absolute cost, and we felt good about them as our contractor given their strong reviews, and focus on larger remodels and projects similar in scope to ours.

Now that we are done with the project, we are very happy with the final product. But the path to get here was bumpy. Things to be very aware of:

1. They claimed to have most of their contractors on staff. This isn't really true. They bid their jobs out to their preferred subcontractors who then in turn use their crews to do the actual work. Their architect / engineer and project manager are actually employees of SCD. The sub who did our work was very good, respectful, and talented. But this split basically made communication non-existent.
2. Communication - We had to beg our project manager to give us a schedule of what days the construction crew would be working since they juggle many jobs and were only on site 1-3 days per week. We had kids and dogs we would keep out of the house during construction time.  I would regularly get texts about some sub arriving unannounced in the next hour. I happened to work from home, but most others don't have that luxury. There were instances where another project manager would call me about getting a sub access to the home, because our project manager wouldn't pick up the phone.  If I could do this again, I would have been extremely explicit in my expectations for communication.
3. Scope of work - make them add the obvious things to the contract. We had an issue with the contractor wanting more money to install appliances. I didn't realize I needed to explicitly ask for it to be in our contract given we were doing full kitchen renovations with permits, etc. We ended up not needing to pay for it, but it was completely unnecessary to begin with, and further soured our trust in SCD

My wife and I hired Solid for a pretty large job at our house - a roughly 700 sq ft expansion with both first and second floor work that included a master bedroom and a full bathroom. We are very happy with their work, their communication, their flexibility, and the result! The project ended up taking longer than anticipated, but that was mostly on us for changing some things after the project was already underway! The team was incredibly gracious as we made some of these requests, often asking for changes even after items had been finished (sometimes you just don't know until you see something!). I don't ever want to undertake a huge project like this again (our house is now perfect and I intend to die in it), but if for some reason I had to, I would return to Solid in a heartbeat.

We hired Solid Construction to perform a major repair to our home's garage. They did a great job, and we would hire them again.

We needed a complete roof rebuild, including new trusses, tile roofing, exterior stucco and painting, interior drywall and texturing, and lighting.

As with any project, there were a few unavoidable delays (e.g., permit issuance delay from the city, weather, etc.) and a couple minor issues along the way, but everything was resolved to our satisfaction, and we're pleased with the results.

Solid Construction did a remarkable job remodeling my two 20 year old bathrooms. Though it took many weeks, and I lived with the inconvenience of living in my home during the process, I must say it was relatively painless. Shout out to Vitalii who was my main tradesman. Tiling is his specialty and it shows.

Choosing a contractor is a big and slightly scary decision, so I hope I can help people looking by sharing my positive experience with Solid Construction for my whole house remodel. I met with three potential contractors, and Solid Constrcution stood out. I'm happy I went with them ... the work was high quality, fairly priced, and progressed at a good pace. Everyone on the team was professional, courteous, and highly skilled. My neighbors on either side told me how much they appreciated the Solid Construction team's professionalism and courtesy, and I'm absolutely thrilled with how the project turned out.
