I can't say enough about H-Towne. We had a complete home renovation and the honesty, professionalism, punctuality and responsiveness were hands down the best I've ever dealt with or seen. The quality of the work far exceeded my expectations. Their attention to detail and pride in their work second to none. There is no doubt in my mind that I will use H-Towne for any remodel/renovation project in the future.

H-Towne completed a beautiful remodeling of a bathroom in Jan 2023. They did a fantastic job and the crew leader Jose paid great attention to every detail. I highly recommend H Towne for any project you need completed.

Definitely given them five stars, they did an amazing job. They showed up on time and left my home clean at the end of the day .Job was done when promised. Most important I love all that they did. I am one Happy customer. 😊

We met Kevin right after the Harvey flood. We agreed in principle and later We got a 47 page estimate with great detail. We originally felt a little apprehensive, after all the owner was “John Smith” and there were stories of people getting scammed after Harvey on the news.

What became of this was a very harmonious working relationship with Kevin. He frequently walked the job with us, revising the estimate as we decided on various details and identifying the best subcontractors. We saw him almost every day. We did have an issue with the plumber and Kevin and a carpenter came over at 10:00 pm on a Sunday to address some of the issues. We later had to dismiss the plumber for failure to appear after most of the work was done. Kevin was able to replace the plumber, get a complete refund of our deposit and complete the plumbing well under budget.

What we want in a building contractor is experience, honesty and the ability to meet issues that arise (and they always arise) head on and deal with the problems. It was tough getting workers during the initial months after Harvey. Subs were being pulled off for other jobs, inflating prices and calling in sick so they could work another job. Kevin stayed on top, we never felt like we were neglected.

Occasionally we would ask that some items that I could complete myself be removed from the project. Kevin always agreed even though he would lose his profit for that work and by the contract, he was still entitled to his “overhead.”

We ended up with a showcase home and over 3 thousand dollars below the contract price.

My wife and I were the general contractor when we built our custom 5500 sf home, so we know the trade and industry. However, the stress of the enormous loss emotionally challenged us. Kevin made the experience pleasant.

These days, we are all afraid of what contractors may do to us (as evidenced of all the contractors being sued on Judge Judy). I completely recommend Kevin and H-Towne and Around. You can TRUST them.

My wife and I contracted with Htowne & Around Contruction, Inc. after Hurricane Laura did major damage to our home due to extremely high winds and heavy rain. Htowne and Around team headed by Kevin Fields in our area worked tirelessly to help us return our home to pre-disaster condition. One of the most impressive things about the staff of Htowne and Around is how well they communicated with our insurance provider. That alone was a tremendous benefit. They not only use the same computer program as do insurance companies to determine damage estimates but Htowne and Around is extremely well versed in the use of the program. My wife and I were involved every step of the way in the planning and restoration phases. We were in constant contact with Kevin both by phone and regular on-site visits such that Kevin was like a member of the family by the time the project was completed. Our house and property have been completely and beautifully restored due to Htowne & Around's professionalism, quality workmanship and remarkably high standards. We could not be happier. JR is the best. We had our bathroom redone by him a last year. One of the screws on our shower door was bad and the door wasn't closing properly. I called him and he had someone here the next day to fix it. Cant recommend enough!!

H-Towne & Around is great to work with, and went above and beyond in our last project. We have used them previously on two other projects that we were very pleased with, so when our home was damaged during the 2021 freeze, we automatically called them for help.
Danny invested many hours working with our insurance adjuster to be sure all the damage was addressed. JR is always prompt in responding to questions and/or issues, and the people who work for him are just the best. Knowing that we were living in the house with 2/3rds of it having open ceilings, JR got a crew out to put up the sheetrock and close the ceilings before we had made several important decisions, like picking kitchen cabinets, which was likely to mess up schedules. We were very grateful to have those ceilings closed up early in the process.
Later, when faced with a 15 week wait on semi-custom cabinets, JR got us in touch with a custom cabinet maker that did the job in 2 weeks at an affordable price, plus we got custom cabinets! JR knows how to make things happen.
An extra project not related to the damage, that Htowne did during the restore, was to move a window in our breakfast area over a few feet, and rebuild it as a cantilevered window seat. It is awesome, makes the kitchen feel bigger, and from the outside looks like it has always been there as the brick that was removed was reworked to cover the hole left on the other side.
It takes a lot of folks & coordination to put a house back together after extensive water damage, and do a few extra projects that the owner dreamed up as well, but we are so happy with the results.

I highly recommend H-towne & Around for any remodeling/restoration job.

We have used H-towne for several projects including a massive master bathroom and two bathroom remodel that helped get our house sold in one day.
They have done custom work for us in our new home along with fixing a huge mess and dealing with the insurance adjuster for us. They are extremely professional and their team of guys are fantastic. We highly recommend them for simple to extreme projects.

JR and his team did a beautiful job with renovating our shower and replacing our bathroom floor! Communication was great. I’m quite the perfectionist and they definitely didn’t disappoint.

Better than expected quality and service, work was done promptly and quickly. All of the guys that worked on our house were fantastic - professional, courteous, and obviously very skilled. Walls and ceiling torn open, repairs made, and with everything finished it looks like they were never there. Couldn’t be happier.

JR and his team did an amazing job remodeling our staircase from carpet to wood! It was exactly what we wanted and more. We will definitely use them again for our next project!

Kevin Fields, Project Manager, kept me advised all through the repairs to my house as a result of damage done by Beryl. He and his teams did excellent work. Kevin communicated with the insurance company and made sure funds were provided for each step of the way. I highly recommend this company and Kevin.

After Hurricane Beryl caused significant damage to our home we called H-Towne. Kevin, the project manager did a great job. He communicated frequently and walked us through every phase of the repairs. Also, he even went to bat with the insurance company to get additional funds when they low-balled the estimate. Kevin’s teams did outstanding work and tidied up after they were done. Hopefully, there will not be another hurricane anytime soon but, if you’re in need of repair or remodeling to your home I highly recommend this company and Kevin.

We just finished remodeling our main bath and kitchen. I can’t say enough good things about this company! When you work with JR, you are guaranteed a job well done from a team that is responsible and professional. JR is knowledgeable, personable, and extremely helpful. Our project was scheduled and our crew, Jose and George, were friendly and paid close attention to details. They did a great job and the quality of their work is exemplary! I can not even begin to express how amazing this company is. They have come out to work on our patio twice. The 1st time blew our expectations away and we got so many compliments on our finished patio. We asked them to come back out and finish a small section next to the patio and they knocked it out. JR and his team are the most professional, dependable, and hardworking individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I reached out to them after a laundry room remodel went horribly wrong at the hands of two previous contractors.
