Received excellent service yesterday. The technician was kind, professional, and explained everything that needed repair, with quotes, before he started to work on them.

Guy was very informative and was determined to see what the issues were. I appreciated the time he spent with me to make sure I knew what I was supposed to do. He is an asset to your company. You need to keep him and maybe give him a raise.

They did a great job hooking up a mini-split heat pump for my Mom so she could survive the summer. They have reliably installed and maintained oil, gas, and electric systems for us.

Lady on the phone was rude and hung up on me for no reason. I guess she misunderstood why I was calling because she said "We are not interested in donating" the slammed the phone down, not even giving me the chance to speak.. I have no idea why she thought I was asking for a donation, very odd.

We had them service our rental property and they just charged the credit card in excess of $800.00 without telling us (the owners) the problem nor the price. Very poor customer service, received no return phone calls or emails. They take advantage when its a COD. We will never use again!

started using them this yr at our camp, which is large with many variables. We have gone thru many over the years. They have come 4 times for various reasons. They were prompt, very knowledgeable, Came out on holiday resolved a preexisting problem and didn't charge for house call, just the part that needed to be replaced. very fair.

Our initial contact with Valley H and C was for service to the heating system in our dental office when the original installer stopped doing maintenance work. Valley was recommended by a heating equipment sales rep. They responded quickly and their service tech was excellent.
When the coronavirus pandemic hit, we chose to replace our air conditioning system in order to best protect our patients and staff from circulating viruses and other pathogens. We chose the Nu-Calgon iWave cold plasma ionization system to be added to the new A/C system to control pathogens and dust in the office. I had 3 other HVAC contractors evaluate our system and only two offered a solution. The Valley H and C proposal was most comprehensive and affordable.
The system has been on line for three weeks now and everything seems to be working perfectly. Tom, Kyle and Ryan came back to explain the maintenance of the system and to answer my questions. Well done to all.

Tom came out on a Saturday night to repair our furnace, he was so pleasant and professional and Stacy the girl who answers the phone was just as pleasant and professional! I am so pleased with this service call and wonderful company, I will only give my business to them! I can’t thank them enough! A very satisfied customer! Robin P Kanary

My wife called and reported that have no heat. The technician shows up as stated, looks at the unit and says your heat exchanger is cracked you need a new unit some will call you with replacement quote. Two days later no calls. We even called back several times. These guys are a joke do not call them. Oh yeah it's the middle of winter and we have heat...seriously

They did not provide billing information after completion of work - instead they just charged my credit card without telling me what the cost would be and then lied about it.. The large amount charged triggered a fraud alert and Bank of America issued another card.
The heating work was done satisfactorily - work alone would have gotten a higher rating but I cannot recommend a business with such shady billing practices.
BBB complaint submitted and pending. -
Great job repairing two furnaces! Highly recommend! Very professional throughout the process, even including letting me know when the tech was going to be arriving.

In September, I hired your company to fix my furnace. The repairman replaced a coupling and assured me that he had also cleaned it and that I could cancel my November cleaning date. Around midnight on Sunday, the soot backed up so badly that our fire alarm system went off and the whole basement and first floor were filled with smoke. We thought we had a chimney fire and called 9-1-1. Fire department said there was no chimney fire, and that the problem was the filthy furnace. Further, your repairman didn't sign and date the tag. Hindsight is 20/20 - I will find another company.

I called to have a thermal cutoff replaced, a $21 part. I had run a full diagnostic myself and removed the failed part before calling to have the part replaced. The service guy was here for about 5 minutes and charged me $250. We live on the same street as this business. I had called to ask about the charge and was told I would receive a call back AND that they would not deposit my check until the owner Tom spoke to me. Tom never called. Tom cashed my check. Tom doesn't run an honest business. Tom makes his employees look bad. Tom will take your money and run. I learned my lesson...hopefully you will all learn from my mistakes.

I really like their service. I think the are every nice. My boiler was leaking very bad. Of course, it was in the winter time. I called around, alot of others said it would take some time to get out there. When I called Valley Heating, they came out, gave me the price and in two days I had heat. I love this company. If they was like the others, my house would of froze and it would of cost my alot more money. I highly recommended them. I personally want to Thank you them. If any thing happens again they will be the first call.

We were in search of a heat pump system to replace our oil burner and aging A/C units. We received quotes from a few air to air heat pump installers, but everything required oil backup (or electric resistance backup). Tom Rekowski came to give us a proposal and suggested we go with a geothermal system. It made sense.
This is a big project, and did take a while from conception to completion. Drillers are hard to find, and eventually some came down from NH(!). Once the ground loop was ready, the project moved inside. There were parts delays, of course, something out of the hands of Valley Heating and Cooling. They kept us informed about every step.
The installation of the interior piping was literally artistic. The work was incredibly precise and professional. The cutover occurred during the winter, and there was no noticeable interruption in the heat supply. Now the system is up and working almost flawlessly. We needed a couple adjustments here and there, but they were minor.
So two things: I suggest you invest in a system like this, because it is quiet, efficient, and environmentally friendly. And I suggest you call Valley Heating & Cooling for the work.
I almost neglected to mention: everybody on the various crews who assisted with the project was friendly and professional. we enjoyed working with them, and also with Tom. There was never even the tiniest mess left behind.
I cannot recommend this company more highly! -
I do not recommend this company AT ALL. The owner Tom, is not an honest man. He installed a furnace for me, and I had to chase him for the thermostat (which he should have installed with the furnace). I installed another thermostat, since it tock him three months (and several requests) before he mailed it to me. The thermostat he finally sent me sat in a box, on a shelf, for five years. When I needed a new thermostat, I installed the one he sent me. It didn’t work. I called Valley Heat and asked them to replace it. They declined. They said there was nothing they could do, even though they shipped me a defective thermostat. I would stay away from these people. No wonder they have such poor reviews.

I have to agree with the 5 star review. I have been a customer for almost 30 years. As I moved homes, I kept Valley Heating. They do ask for charge card info now, which I am very happy to give them. I am always given a receipt upon completion of their work so I know how much they are billing me. It has always been a reasonable charge, no matter what I am having them do. Trust the guys who come do the work. Always polite and courteous and listen to my issue for that visit. I have also given their company name out to friends when they ask who I use.

Last summer had issues with A/C. Called to make an appointment but was told the repairman would if he was in my neighborhood. Called once but I wasn't home. This spring finally got an appointment. Man came out and said problem was under my house and wouldn't fix it. Would have office call with appropriate person to come out. Charged me $79.00. office has never called. Neighbor felt sorry for us and crawled under the house and fixed the problem in five minutes. Charge:. 6 pack beer.

My oil burner decided to quit at 10:30 p.m. during an ice storm. The owner of Valley Heating & Cooling came out right away - even though I was new to the area and not previously a customer. I especially appreciate that, while the fuel pump ultimately needed to be replaced, he tried less-expensive fixes first. I found the quality, value, and professionalism of service to be the very best. Valley Heating & Cooling now has me as a customer for life, and I will highly recommend them at every opportunity.

I felt compelled to write a review after reading the negative ones here. I have been a customer for 5 years and have had outstanding service from V H&C. They technicians are always professional, get the job done and do post-maintenance work with the homeowner to ensure everything works properly.
I also had to call them in the dead of winter for an emergency repair and they came out within a few hours, replaced a powervent (moderate/fairly complex job) and got the heat back on in my place quickly.
Recommended, not sure why others had different experiences than I did.
