Sheena and team were amazing. Everything was explained plainly. There was no pressure. All of the timelines they laid out were met perfectly. And the installers (Kevin, Jarret, Tanner, Randy, and Armani and sorry if I missed anyone!) were quick and professional and perfectly respectful of my property. All in all, call them!!!! :)

The Rooftop Power crew (Kevin, Jay, Oscar, and Armani) that installed our solar panel array and controls did an excellent job. They consulted with me regarding the routing of the electrical conduit and answered all of my questions about the system. They worked efficiently and were done in less than 3 hours. All in all, it was a positive experience.

I met Marcus Alexander in the summer of 2025 when he was working in our neighborhood as a solar energy consultant. I had previously heard about Rooftop Power through neighbors who had added solar energy to their home and were very pleased with the result.
Having several meetings and conversations with Marcus and through his knowledge and sincere opinion that I would benefit, I felt sure that this project was right for me and my family. Working with Marcus and the staff at RTP was a total pleasure and I am very much looking forward to the benefits that this decision will bring. Thank you to all my friends at RTP.

Rooftop Power is great with communication right up until your install. After that, if you have any issues, good luck getting a response.

After my system was installed, it went down for four months due to an issue with parts they installed. During that time, I lost roughly four months of solar production, yet I was still expected to make full payments. Trying to get help or updates was incredibly frustrating — multiple messages went unanswered, and follow-up was basically nonexistent until the 5-6th time.

Once the install is complete, don’t expect any real service or urgency if something goes wrong. You’re essentially left to “go with the flow” while still paying for a system that isn’t working.

If I could go back in time, I would absolutely choose a different company. Communication and support after installation matter just as much as the sales process, and Rooftop Power completely dropped the ball.

The Rooftop Power crew did an excellent job in moving my electric meter to a new code-compliant location. The crew members Avarin, Jarret , and Hyrum did an excellent job of moving the meter in preparation for installation of solar panels later. Once the panel installation crew consisting of Kevin, Gerry Oscar and Hyrum the work was done efficiently in about four hours and the crew was friendly and attentive to cleaning up. Rooftop power does very excellent work. Master electrician Andy Smith did an excellent job with finalizing the work prior to inspection.

I am very happy to write this glowing review of my recent solar and battery installation by Rooftop Power. Every single person I dealt with at this company was top-notch, from scheduling, to the design team, finance, the folks who handled the regulatory paperwork, right through to the electricians and installers. They kept me updated every step of the way. The system has been working perfectly since it was first fired up. Thank you all, especially Dan, Tyler, Randy, Austin, Kevin, Gerry, Oscar and Melvin.

I wish all contractors and companies were this well organized.

The entire 4 man team showed up in a timely manner, and meshed very well together like a finely tuned machine. They were friendly, professional and answered all of my questions. They also were very upbeat together with a positive attitude about the job at hand. What I expected to take at least 2 days to install 6.37KW of solar panels was done in less than 5 hours. I could not be happier with their level of performance and skill, and I would recommend them to anyone!
Also Marcus, my sales representative was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, with absolutely no sales pressure. He explained the entire process and kept me constantly updated on the permitting process and scheduling for the installation. I almost forgot to mention about the hi tech method of my site analysis, using drone technology to get all the measurements of my house. I was very impressed with the entire process, from start to finish! 😊

UPDATE: Yesterday I received a call from the RTP owner. While apologetic, he noted I hadn’t explicitly said not to run conduit over the gutter but offered to fix it “free.” I accepted some responsibility, though it felt unnecessary (see before/after images). He was friendly, and despite back-and-forth on communication, still offered a prompt fix. I agreed to update my review once complete.

Austin, Hryum, and Oscar arrived this morning, walked me through the new placement, moved the conduit, confirmed before mounting, and labeled breakers. They were laid back and easiest to work with—some office staff could take note.

This isn’t my first solar install, so I know issues happen. RTP would benefit from a dedicated Project Manager for large jobs. A single point of contact would have streamlined everything.
Given the remediation by the owner and installers, I’d still recommend RTP for future solar or electrical needs.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Overall, my experience was mixed. Staff (Sheena, Carrie, Evan, Austin) were professional, but the process fell short for an $85K project covering solar, batteries, panel upgrade ($3,500), and tree removal ($17,000).
Scheduling was inconsistent since each team had its own scheduler. Highlights:
• On time for most visits except one
• Conduit placed over the gutter instead of beside it; couldn’t be fixed same day
• Abrasive call from Tania, who only reviewed a screenshot; weeks passed without a scheduled fix. Poor communication skills.
• Battery and panel upgrade completed in a day; solar install took 5 hours for 31 panels
• Installers kept things clean inside/out, though I found several lag bolts in my yard
• Panels left dirty with handprints due to install location
• Asked multiple times for reviews/funding, yet ghosted about the conduit fix

Sheena deserves credit—she consistently responded, even on items outside her scope.

Since my outreach on May 9, the process is still incomplete. I had to follow up repeatedly, which shouldn’t happen at these prices.

Pending: power company activation (not RTP’s scope) and drywall fix.

RTP charges more than local/national competitors, presenting as premium with polished videos, drones, and text updates.

Five stars all around for the installation team at Rooftop Power. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient. The crew (led by Jacob) arrived on time, completed the installation of my solar panels flawlessly, and cleaned up everything afterward. The whole process was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended! The crew was outstanding shout out to Gerry, Jason and Stevie. The company even facilitated a new roof in their pricing. Which was needed desperately.

I was impressed with the install and with the communication on behalf of the company itself. The workers were very professional and had the panels up in no time. The rep Justin Algiere made it a smooth process that made sense. I highly recommend working with him, local guy and took care of me and my family. Trinity wanted me to load my whole house up but I only get good sun in the front of my house. Justin explained why it would make more sense to do less panels that are going to produce the most. I am excited for the future with my new solar panels. Thanks again.
