Shed Builder reviews across the US

I am very impressed with NC Shed Builders. From the beginning Jennifer was very responsive providing estimates and drawings. I must have changed my mind 5 times. They completed the project on schedule and Al (the owner) was hands on with building the shed. I highly recommend NC Shed Builders

We had an overall poor experience with NC Shed Builders and would not recommend this company.

We initially contacted NCSB in late March of this year and our shed was finally completed in late September, many months longer than the process should take. We spent much of our time this spring waiting for communications and confirmations on plans, costs and build dates with little clarity provided.

The entire process was poorly handled and required significantly more effort on our part than was warranted, including repeatedly contacting to set up meetings, ensure they had submitted permits, and to get drawings.

Jennifer failed to send us updated drawings or corrected invoices. Jeff, the salesman, failed to realize and communicate that our job would exceed the legally allowable cost because NCSB does not (or did not) have a general contractors license.

We were told that our permits were submitted, but upon contacting the city found out they were submitted over a month after we were told they were. It wasn't until we contacted the owner, four months into the process, that movement started at all. He further attempted to blame us for the situation.
Our work was eventually completed, but even during construction we felt like we shouldered the burden for expediting the permit process and checking up on items that after sustaining such poor experience should have been prioritized by NCSB.
Further, due to the constraints of the legally allowable cost without a GC license, we are left to complete the remaining work on our own to stay under this limit.

The shed itself is adequate.

Great experience using NC Shed Builders, from Al, the owner, Wil, our salesman, Ashley in the office and Greg, our shed builder. They were all friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We chose the 10x12 Statesman model and the shed is exactly as specified and very well built using quality materials. Greg is a very conscientious builder. I would highly recommend calling NC Shed Builders if you're thinking about getting a shed built on site.

They were very professional and when life on my end got busy, Carolina was genuinely concerned and called us to make sure everything was going ok. Great communication on their end! Jeff was also very flexible with us. When we ended up getting sick and had to delay, he was very kind and patient.

Our shed is wonderful! Our neighbor kept looking at it and said "that shed looks like it's going to outlast your house!" 😂. Gregory who built it was very knowledgeable and asked important questions beforehand. He was communicative on when he would be arriving and did everything on schedule.

We hired for a custom designed chicken coop build from a shed design. Super responsive the entire time throughout the process, very transparent on availability, pricing and estimates were accurate and fair. Amazing craftsmanship and then followed up after to correct some very minor cosmetic things after the painting was completed. Highly recommend!

After getting our estimate from NC Shed Builders we had some issues getting tree removal for where we wanted the shed. Ashley and Wil worked with us to get us a new date for the install and were very responsive to all of our email inquiries. Our installation tech Greg was amazing and worked very fast with a keen eye for detail. He also took the time to ask us at key points about details (where did you want your shelves and things like that). Overall this company was great to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

NC Shed Builders did an absolutely incredible job on a custom shed that fits perfectly in just the right spot in my back yard. I cannot recommend them enough!

NC Shed Builders did an amazing job on our new shed. They were able to alter their design a bit to include a lean-to and it's exactly how we wanted it- it's great to have the extra sheltered space. The shed is extremely solid, and built with great precision, and it went up in no time at all. We store hay in it and it's completely leak proof. I would totally use them again- great communication as well. .

I was very happy with how my shed turned out. NC Shed Builders worked with me to accommodate some custom changes that I wanted. I preferred a smaller shed ,different door style, and other modifications. Jennifer and Allen were great to work with and my shed turned out great! I would highly recommend them for your outdoor building needs.

We love our shed! I am extremely impressed with NC Shed Builders - every employee we worked with was friendly, helpful, professional, NICE!, and just normal down to earth people. From sales, front office, construction, painting, to management - each was a pleasure to work with. The shed is perfect, constructed with quality materials and solidly built, just like a quality home. I am in the shed daily as a workshop and could not be any happier. Thank you to all the staff at NC Shed Builders - I will continue to recommend your business.

From start to finish the shed build was amazing. Gregory, who built our shed, was wonderful. His attention to detail during the build was incredible. He was professional and responsive and even took the time to show my 5 year old how he was building. My son was thrilled to talk to him and watch him build and Gregory was so patient with all his questions. I will recommend NC Shed Builders to those in my neighborhood who want a quality shed at a good price by a local company.

NC Shed Builders have been amazing from the start to finish of our project. They have a large number of options for design with excellent prices. They are easy to communicate with and highly efficient in terms of getting the shed built as quickly as possible. They come to our yard and discussed the location and preparation of the site. The building process was extremely quick (under two days) and not at all disruptive, and the construction personnel were highly competent and professional as were the painters. The resulting shed is just what we wanted, attractive, solid and ready for our equipment. I can’t recommend Shed Builders highly enough.

NC Shed Builders are great!! Jeremy helped coordinate choosing the right design and schedule a time for install. Answered all our questions along the way and through completion. Gregory completed the build and did a great job!

They did a great job. The shed is very nice. I live in a townhouse and there are shared sheds for each 2 THs (don't ask me why, at least I get along well with my neighbor). Ours was dilapidated and we wanted to replace it. NC Shedbuilders doesn't usually do this type of shed. But they did forbus. There's a door on each side and a divider in the middle. My neighbor even got a window in his side. They were very professional, patient and created a custom product. Thanks guys! Don't judge the photo, I haven't painted the trim yet.

From estimate to construction they communicated quickly. They arrived on-time, finished in one day, and did it at a competitive cost. Two months later since construction and shed has had zero issues. Would recommend and use again.

Fantastic service from start to finish! As a first-time homebuyer whose never bought a shed before, this was an ideal process. Can't recommend enough!

NC Shed Builders did a great job putting together our shed. The process of ordering everything through Jeremy and the team was smooth and easy. They are very flexible and work with you to come up with the design you are looking for. Greg who built the structure was detailed and timely. Highly recommend!

We worked with the lovely and helpful team to have a 10x12 shed built in our backyard. We're new to homeownership and had questions about size and placement, which the team answered very clearly and promptly. They were able to schedule the build around our timeline, which was great. The construction team slogged through a mire after a week of rain, but had the whole structure up in a day, leveled and roofed. Because of the rain, we needed to wait to have it painted, but that was also done in a day. We were so glad to find a local Durham business that came highly recommended by a friend, and working with them was a breeze. We've had the shed for a few months now and it's been perfect for our purposes. Definitely work with this team for a shed, if you need one!

We are extremely happy with the shed built for us by NC Shed Builders. Our experience started with an onsite consultation with Jeremy to help us determine what size and type of shed we needed, as well as, the orientation on our lot. That consultation was very helpful and resulted in a shed that is perfect for our needs.and looks great. After the professional consultation, Greg was sent to build the shed as we had agreed. He was very experienced and it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing. In two days, we had the exact shed we wanted. We highly recommend NC Shed Builders.

Wow. From the start of my custom shed design to the finish, NC Sheds was with me all the way. Extremely happy with the staff, process and final product. Worth the extra cost for the quality of the end product.

You will not find better shed builders anywhere else in town. My husband and I went with NC Shed Builders because they have great reviews, their sheds are completely customizable, and their rep was friendly and professional during our visit to their location. Here was our experience:

The shed was built in two days but there were several issues with the finishing that we noticed. Without going into details about what those were, I am happy to share that NC Shed builders went above and beyond to correct each and every one. First, the owner was very attentive to our concerns and reassured us that quality is his number one priority. Not once did he dismiss our concerns. Second, the owner conducted his own inspection and swiftly and effectively addressed any and all problems that we, and he, identified. Third, the owner took the initiative to add extra finishing touches that enhanced the look and functionality of the shed, which was an unexpected but VERY pleasant surprise.

Overall, my husband and I are beyond satisfied!! We recommend NC Shed Builders to anyone and everyone. There is no comparison. Period. While you may find cheaper prices elsewhere, keep in mind you get what you paid for. NC Shed's quality, customer service, and professionalism cannot be matched. This is BY FAR one of the best experiences with a large purchase that we've ever made!

THANK YOU!!!!
