My name is Joe Boyd and I live in Mt. Pleasant, SC. I am very impressed with this company’s services. I just recently had 2 HVAC units replaced in my house: Trane heat pump and air handler as the main home system, and a Mitsubishi split unit in a room over the garage. I also had all the duct work insulation in the attic replaced which included some upgrades to the ducts themselves to improve air flow.

I am now retired, but I was an engineering and maintenance manager in industry, and before that an engineering technician, thus I have much experience in all that’s involved with the installation process, and people. So I know when a company is doing a good all around job or not – and your company and its people are exceptional.

The installation went perfectly I thought. The team always arrived first thing in the morning when they said they would. They paid attention to every detail and the quality of their work was some of the best I’ve seen. I can always tell an excellent company by their attention to detail.

The systems have been running now for about 2 weeks with no problems at all. The cooling throughout the house seems much more consistent than before the work.

The lead technician, Glenn, that installed our system was wonderful to work with, very knowledgeable and personable - as was his assistant, Cade. These two technicians are real professionals. They know their stuff and are hard workers!

One of things that impressed was the team work of their people. In order to make sure our systems were up and running before the start of the weekend, on Friday, they brought in extra technicians from various locations who had finished their jobs for the week. The system was ready to go by 3pm Friday!

Rob Flick, who I have been dealing with probably over 20 years, is top notch. We were treated extremely fairly with a the best price possible. He did a great job in specifying the best systems for us, which he always has. He is very knowledgeable and a great guy to deal with.

I also would like to mention Theresa who I have worked with over the years for service related issues on my units. She is a gem: extremely efficient and very much on top of things. She is really nice and has been great to work with over the years.

I have used this company for over 20 years for new unit installations and service at our house, and commercial buildings we owned in the past. They are a top notch company with top notch employees. They always seem to hire the best people, and keep the best people.

They are an honest company. I trust every recommendation they make. They have never steered us wrong yet. When we have those “fix or buy” discussions I can always trust their judgement and advice.

I would highly recommend this company!

These are fine folks- company is local family owned and seem as fair as anyone. They are fast to respond- do quality work. I use them for home and rental properties- fix it right the first time.

These guys are professionals, especially at fixing others work. Most residential HVAC companies have one answer, “you need a new unit”. Bobby spent the time diagnosing the actial issue & solved everything while not losing focus on cost. GREAT JOB!

Deeply regret using this company. Had a yearly maintenance agreement yet the technician did not clean the unit or top off freon as stated in agreement. Had to bring in another company that said the unit was filthy and likely the cause of the problems with the unit. A/C stopped working completely and each technician had a different diagnosis. Then they tried to charge $260 an hour for two people to tear up the walls after declaring wires were chewed by rodents. New company did not see evidence of that at all. Takes an entire week to book technicians. Horrible experience, poor service, beware.

Initially my experience was a difficult one, see my post below: Once the owner read my review I was promptly contacted by him. He admitted that there was an issue with the service visit and offered to refund my diagnostic fee (which he promptly did). In addition he offered a no cost inspection and cleaning of both of my units. Because of this followup it shows how the owner does care and I promptly changed my rating to a 5 star. Thank you.

June of 2014 I was in need of a replacement of the bulb on my RGF Guardian Air unit. I located AC's name from RGF's web site listing them as a supplier, so I contacted them. They dispatched a tech on July 1. He photographed the model number of the unit and told me that he would contact me with the price of the replacement before one was ordered. Days elapse and no response, I proceed to contact their office multiple times and spoke with a few different people, this was a joke and was given a run around with no answer as to a price or when the tech would return.

I proceed to do research myself and ordered the replacement and completed the repair myself.

Chris the technician for AC heating is the very best of everyone. He takes the time to explain what he is doing. Most importantly he is honest and you can trust everything he tells you. Chris also goes above and beyond in the service he provides

AC Heating and Air Conditioning is the best locally owned and operated heating and air conditioning business in Charleston. The service technicians are friendly, knowledgeable and provide outstanding customer service to the clients. I would highly recommend this company.
