Arrived at 4:43 pm on October 5, 2018, only to find a closed and locked business. Advertised hours are until 5:00 pm. No note on the doors letting customers know that they closed early. Very frustrating and definitely not customer friendly. Not a successful way to treat customers or to run a business.

They are friendly people providing a personal touch and have thorough knowledge of all appliances. They have saved the day for us many times. So glad they are in business in our area.

Tried to call on a Saturday for service, as their website states "Live customer service 24/7, 365 days a year". Got a recording that they are only open during the normal business hours Monday through Friday. Very disappointed. Hopefully they will give far better service when they do call back - or at least update their website.

I thought, Oakes Appliance & Refrigeration prices were HIGH. My problem was the Dryer 240V Outlet and Dryer Cord. The Technician inspected the Dryer and changed the Dryer Cord for $160.00. Now, I need a Electrician to change out the 240V Outlet with another charge. I don't mind paying for Services, I still think a $20.00 ~ 4" 240V Dryer Cord and a $160.00 charge is still, way to HIGH!!.

Went here night before Thanksgiving for a heating element that broke on my oven. Man and woman seemed very nice however, the cost of the element was 4TIMES more expensive than anywhere else. Needed it to cook my turkey so had no choice. Im on disability and have little money as is...turned out to be the most expensive Thanksgiving ever.

If you want an appliance company that is fair & knows what there doing , Call Oakes. I have been using them for 7 years and we are very pleased with them. Will always recommend them.

Broken dishwasher(I thought so). Turns out there was a hidden switch under the cabinet that somehow got turned off. The technician didn't make me feel as embarrassed as I was! He was prompt, friendly & made this dumb person feel a little less dumb! Thanks for the quick appointment & great service(even though it was simple).

Was scheduled for a service call for my refrigerator and Rob called the day before to give me advice on the problem. It fixed the issue without them coming out. A stand up company. Will definitely call them for any future services.

I have used Oakes in the past for various rental properties and they are prompt, fairly priced and very easy to get along with. They often have parts that are hard to find. I would highly recommend Oakes Appliance & Refrigeration for both rental properties and your personal appliance repair.

Had our refrigerator go out in the morning. Called as soon as they were open and even though they were booked until next week, they found a technician that was close by and there were able to come by and have me fixed (had the part on the van) the same day by 10:20am! Very impressed with the quality and speed of service. The technician was very professional and really knew his stuff! Will use again!

Quick appointment, technician Rob was knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. Honesty means a lot when you are dealing with appliances that you as the customer don’t have knowledge about. Will be my go to if ever have another appliance issue. Highly recommend them!

I don't know if it was a bad part or a bad technician but Oakes appliance charged me over $360 to replace a valve on my dishwasher and it still leaks. Consider looking into just buying a new appliance as their service call fee is $140. The lady on the phone said $125 but the technician said $140. That's the game. Charging a high service call fee increases the chance you will have them fix it.

Again, could be the part or the technician, but I do know i paid $360 to have my dishwasher fixed, they charged me $360 to replace a valve and it still leaks.
