We had a full, concrete driveway replacement. I would have preferred a more environmentally friendly material than concrete, yet Sean and I had a good discussion about all options. Sean was low-key, not pushy during the quote process. This was a stressful project as I had never done a driveway replacement. Sean actually down & dirty doing the work (versus not being on site the entire time) was a huge plus. The other workmen involved were professional and Sean was laser-focused on their work efforts. If I had questions/concerns, I was able to discuss ongoing. Sean's calm demeanor helped our confidence level. The project could not be perfect in a 30 year old property, yet the results are great. The improvement to our home and curb appeal is exactly what we wanted.

Did a great job adding to my driveway. They also added a curved walkway to my back patio. After curve was down they ran down spouts under new concrete. I was a little concerned about where the down spout came up. It was close to new sidewalk. Shawn came back and reworked down spout no question asked. Great Job!!! Thanks a bunch.

This is an unprofessional company. Shawn made an appt to show up at my place and give me an estimate; however, this did not happen. I called him at 10.20 for an ETA and he said he had forgotten the appt and would leave immediately. At 11.00 he calls and said his ETA would be 11.20. A company that does not keep its word for an appt will not keep its word to perform a quality job. This guy wasted my time.

I had a really hard time finding a decent landscaper in Charlotte. Most wouldn't even return a call, much less get me on their schedule. I found Powell Landscaping just by working my way down the list in a google search. I'm so glad I did. He answered the phone, and was out the same day. Not only was he out the same day.. he made some great suggestions, and emailed me a quote from his truck outside of my house. It was a very good price for what I needed done. I accepted the quote, and him and his crew were here working three days later. They worked long days, every day, until the job was done. I talked to the bricklayer, and he has a ton of experience.. previous union mason in NYC I think? Anyway, he did fantastic work. They all did. I can't say enough about these guys. A couple of times I was following package deliveries for work, and saw them meet the driver and walk my package to my front door. Good people. If you're looking for someone who will work hard for your money and won't take it for granted, get in touch with these guys. Charlotte needs more businesses like this.

Awesome job! Paver patio and concrete car park. Shawn helped with the multi-level patio design and it looks great. It was a challenge - a long and narrow side yard with a significant slope. We definitely recommend Powell Services and Shawn.

The need existed to put in a nice fireplace/patio in the back yard as well as build a retaining wall around the back of the back yard. The results were incredible! Much time is spent around that fire pit now. The costs were very reasonable and the materials were first rate. Shawn is a very hard worker who insists on perfection in everything he does and the results prove that. I highly recommend this company to anyone who has any hardscape needs or wants!

We recently contracted Powell to install a new paver patio. Powell was the second contractor we met with and despite having sunk costs with the first contractor for design fees, we still chose Shawn because we preferred his design choices, secondary considerations, and professionalism.

Shawn and his crew did a fantastic job with our landscaping project. His bid came in the most competitive and he went above and beyond to make sure our vision was achieved. He completely gutted our backyard and built an impressive retaining wall to magically create a fully usable backyard. The crew finished it off with mulch, sod, appropriate drainage and an HOA friendly aluminum fence. If the weather allowed someone was here working on the project. They took extra precautions during a very rainy winter to contain all runoff dirt and pressure washed a couple of times to make sure they kept up with any dirt left by machines. We are very happy with the results.

Shawn was an absolute delight to work with on our recent project to reconstruct a stone masonry wall on our house. He was extremely helpful in planning and executing the unusual work required. Shawn returned all our calls and texts promptly and answered all our questions. We give him our highest recommendation.

Powell Concrete Hardscape and Landscaping recently did a wonderful job taking down a large tree overhanging my roof, and regrading a side yard to stop water from rushing against my house. Shawn and team did a great job and also cleaned up after!

I've never actually been a customer but I ended up stuck in a group chat with the business line for the company. The organizer of the chat was obviously a scammer who just threw a bunch of random numbers together and acted like we all owed DMV fees. The rep from Powell roasted the scammer real good.

My wife and I contracted with Shawn to install a flat stone sidewalk from our driveway to our front porch. We are completely satisfied with the professional job that he and his great crew did. I do not believe we could have found anyone else who could or would have done a better job. At the completion of the job the sidewalk was everything we could have hoped for and done exactly as he told us it would be.
