Constraction reviews in Alcoa, Tennessee

As a disabled senior, I could not have found a better company than ServPro to help me during a water shut off valve break. They were here about an hour and a half after my call and got to work extracting the water and setting up fans and dehumidifier. Casey walked me through every step of the process and was here every day to check on the progress. He answered every question and sent pictures to my insurance adjuster. Ashley, the Office Manager, is very pleasant and knowledgeable and answered any questions I may have. She is continuing to help me and is referring contractors to contact for repair services. I would not hesitate to use ServPro again and would highly recommend to others. They're GREAT!!!

Gray and his team at Servpro made our nightmare of a flooded basement, bearable and manageable. The team was easy to work with, answering any and all questions that we had throughout the process. The work that the did was timely, beautiful and great quality! Our lives were never disrupted with the work. I would recommend Gray and his team ANY AND EVERY DAY!

SERVPRO did an amazing job repairing our pantry after our water heater burst. The team helped us deal with our insurance company and they were quick to get everything completed for us. We will use them for any issues in the future!

Servpro of Blount County came out quickly and without hesitation to care for us when our home flooded. And when it came to payment, we never felt rushed or pressured, as we navigated through the home owners insurance claim processes (as a first-time homeowner, I know very little about). To be specific, ASHLEY is simply magical! She is exceptionally patient and understanding! She made the stressful and emotional experience of our home flooding as calm and easy as she possibly could and then some. Should anything happen in the future, I will only ever call this team first!

Our relative, a disabled Vietnam Veteran with heavy exposure to Agent Orange, and his partner, a stroke survivor, had sunk into filthy living conditions. We hired a company to move 2 dumpsters of trash out of the house and hubby and I filled another dumpster. We cleared all floors and countertops, carted away to our house clothing and miscellaneous. We hired ServPro of Blount County to clean and sanitize before the painters and floor people arrived - totally based on their reputation and advertising for cleaning up small disasters.
ServPro knew that these people had become hoarders and the invoice stated that it was a hoarder cleanout. I was told ServPro of Blound County would do the job on a Monday and finish Tuesday. Based on that, we scheduled painters, furniture movers, and flooring. ServPro of Blount County had some staffing issues which slowed them down and they said they were finished on Thursday.
When we returned to the vacant house on Friday, the floors, tops of all the furniture, behind light switches, top of cabinets, and many, many other areas were filthy and/or still had cobwebs. I texted them and they came out Monday and Tuesday. The floors were better (but still dirty, the tops of furniture extremely dusty, and the painter cleaned out the dust and filth behind switch plates. The bathtub is still filthy (the picture does not do it justice). Only the front of the refrigerator was clean, the side was yellow, even though hubby pointed this out.
Perhaps it was a communication issue on my part. Perhaps I did not make myself clear about making the house appropriate to move back into (we were paying for our disabled relatives to stay at a motel). My husband and I spent all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday preparing at least one clean room for the couple to move back into while the painters finish. Flooring had to be rescheduled for 2 weeks from now and we will need to move these disabled relatives out again for that.
I would never use ServPro of Blount County again. And what did the (scheduled) *2-day* cleaning and sanitizing cost? Glad you asked! $5,268. I should have gone to another company. Many regrets. -
Max Pope and Serve-Pro Blount Co SAVED us! We had a nasty water leak under a floor and he came out the SAME DAY. We aren’t even in Blount Co and he came fast. He checked in daily and entrusted us with the equipment. He was kind, friendly and made us feel at ease about the mess we were in.

I am so thankful that we called ServPro.
From the moment Ashley answered the phone to when the service technicians removed their equipment, the professionalism of their team was top tier. The team arrived on time, were thorough and timely in their work.
I would highly recommend ServPro. -
We had major water damage in our basement and Max came to assess and was so informative and helpful. He assessed the damage and within a few hours had everything set up to dry up the water. The quick action helped us save majority of our drywall. Would definitely use again!

We hired Servpro to clean vents in our new home before moving in. The house had just finished construction, so there was a lot of dust and debris in the ducts that we didn’t want to circulate through the air once we settled in- I was expecting a baby in a matter of weeks and had to get this done well!
From the first call, their team was friendly and professional. They scheduled us quickly and arrived on time. The technicians explained exactly what they’d be doing and how long it would take, and were very respectful of the property — wearing shoe covers and carefully handling their equipment.
When they were done, they walked us through everything they cleaned. The difference was clear, and it gave us real peace of mind knowing the system was clean before we moved our family in.
Overall, we were impressed with their thoroughness and professionalism. Would definitely recommend Servpro to anyone needing their services. -
When I needed my dryer vent cleaned, ServPro of Blount County was my best choice! They were prompt, professional, and did exactly what I needed them to do so my house was clean and safe. The scheduling process was easy and accessible, and the service team was courteous and knowledgable. Max and Andrea and their team are exactly who you want working in your home - they are trustworthy and professional. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them for all of your restoration and vent cleaning needs!

Terrible experience. Highly do not recommend them to do any work.
Short version: I was quoted 5 days for a demo/mold cleaning remediation job and did not get my keys back until day 89. The communication during that time was spotty at best. I had to keep reaching out. The quality of work was awful. Truly never finished the job. The photos sent to me when the project manager said they were done had trash in them, and the trash was left there. They broke 3 windows and only fixed 2 of them.
Longer version:
My wife and I bought a house that had some water damage and mold with the plan to fully renovate. We decided to go with Servpro to do the full demo of the interior and mold cleaning because it is a national brand, they said they could start the next Monday, and they would be done in 5 days. It was expensive but we thought it would be worth it because of those things. (over the next 89 days I spoke with multiple contractors about the remodel, and they told I got hosed on the cost of the demo) That Friday when the job was supposed to be finished, I receive a call from the project manager. He told me it was going to take another week due to the walls having 4 layers they had to take down. That made sense to me and there was no way he could have known that when he quoted me 5 days. On day 31 on the job, I reach out asking about a new timeline for it being done. He said the demo was all done they just needed to do the cleaning and that would happen in about a week. I asked if we could do a walk through so we did 6 days later. I pointed the 3 windows that had been broken and the significant number of places in the house that were not finished being demo'd. He said they would get right on it and the windows might take a little longer but the other stuff should be done in a week. I drive by the house daily on my way to work and randomly a Servpro truck would be outside. Sometimes someone would be working, sometimes not. A week and a half later I call to check in. This is day 45 of the 5 day job, and the project manager is raising his voice and cursing on the phone. He tells me initially probably two weeks and when I told him at had already been a long time, he said they would be completely done in a week. Remember, I drive by the house daily on my way to work and maybe once or twice a week a Servpro truck would be outside. 40 days later, I text again (he never communicated with me) asking about progress. He said windows were repaired and they were done. He would go put eyes on it in the morning. I text him the next afternoon and he said it looks good, there's some cobwebs but he would knock them down. Two days later he sends me pictures of the finished product. There was trash in the floor, a busted office chair, 5 gallon bucket, and a ladder in the pictures. All those things were left there. I got my keys back on day 89. When I went in to look at it, one of the windows was never repaired, and there were multiple spots that I specifically pointed out to him that were not taken care of. The only reason I did not press to get those things fixed was because the general contractor that is doing the remodel said he wouldn't charge me anymore to on the quote he gave me to finish the job. I text the project manager about the mold remediation and he told me happen multiple times during the job. I text back asking when was the last time the did the cleaning and I never heard back. -
SERVPRO of Blount County is awesome! From the office to the techs, it has all been positive. If you are needing anything from fire damage, water damage, etc they're your people. 10/10 service! Thank you, SERVPRO!

Don’t recommend! The project manager came out an measured the area for flooring. We discussed the flooring color to match kitchen area told him the name of the floor. He called a week later or so and said he found it it was special order so I said ok. The day the work was to be done they came out ripped my floor out Only to bring the new floor in an it’s not even close to matching. An tells me well I was off a little. We can try an order the correct floor you will just be without flooring for awhile. So this is what I am currently left with. 2 different floor colors.

Thank you Servpro of Maryville for the great service during the recent flood in my basement. You were prompt, and very efficient. Your workers were friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend your company to anyone that needs a reliable local service.

Excellent service and attention to detail from Servpro- Max and Gray were quick to access the damage and come up with a game plan. Gray was our contact thru the process, and was such a congenial and helpful person. The guys that fixed our ceiling and flooring did a fabulous job- we are very happy. And Gray was always at our disposal every step of the way. We are very happy with our Servpro experience.

We contacted ServPro of Maryville when we came home from a getaway to discover warped and peeling hardwood floors. They responded extremely quickly and brought assessment equipment, fans, and dehumidifiers. They were encouraging, supportive, and confident. Max, Gray, Matthew and all employees were great and 5* themselves. Pictures show before and when dry waiting for us to pick out flooring to replace. They worked w smooth relationship w insurance setting up a great experience there as well.

I deleted my last review since you said you didn’t find me in your system so I could make you aware of the experience we received. I’m most definitely in your system, probably under Josh. We had work done in Greenback last Oct and November. We had a water leak back in August- September and needed dry wall and flooring replaced with the drying out process. The process started out smoothly and the two Servpro employees that came out to take measurements and begin the drying out process were excellent to work with. The gentleman that did the measurements was very professional on time and responsive. The female who did the work to cut the dry wall and floor so we could start drying out with the equipment was very professional and did a great job! She was on time and very responsive to any concerns or questions we had. After that once Grey had taken over it was downhill slope the rest of the way. The contractors were scheduled to come remove my flooring, I revived a text that morning at the time they were to be at my house to tell me only one single contractor could come and he did not speak English. I was not comfortable being at home alone with a gentleman I could not communicate with so I had to reschedule to another time when a crew could come out. I had wasted a few hours of vacation time to take off to be home for this and ended up going into work after I found out. I was told it would be a few days when they could send a crew out. Few days pass and a crew shows up to start work. I was told before this process began by Grey they had found an exact match to our current floor. We have a little strip of transition between the kitchen and living room floor, even though it’s the exact same floor they would not replace both flooring to match and flow together due to it. AFTER the current floor had all been taken up, we were then shown the new flooring in the box and it was not even close to our flooring color! We were asked if we wanted to send back the flooring and order more after we were down to bare concrete! It was coming up on Thanksgiving and I could not host a family get together with concrete floors! Against what we wanted to do we had to have them install the flooring that was originally ordered as he said it would be another 2 to 3 weeks to order more and get a crew to come put it down. The next day came for the flooring to be installed and to our not so surprise again, Servepro did not order enough flooring to complete the job nor did he order the transition strips for the rooms. So again we wait another 2 to 3 weeks to have the floor completed with a gap of no flooring between the new flooring and old. The next day came that a contractor showed up at my house to begin work on replacing the drywall but Grey was an hour and a half late showing up with the materials and the contractor sat in the driveway waiting for him to arrive so he could begin. The contractor did a great job replacing the sheet rock but was unable to finish as I ran out of time to take off from work as everything kept being delayed. Needless to say I still have an unfinished wall that needs sanded and painted. Grey had told us it could be done all in one day but we knew better. A freshly mudded sheet rock can not even dry out enough same day to attempt to paint. Grey had told me he would bring the paint and materials by that same day but I didn’t hear back from him until a few days later when he delivered a can of paint and roller brush to my house. I have to find someone to complete the wall because we tried to do it ourselves and are not able to do it correctly. It’s a lot more work then we realized to get it even. I would not recommend you go through this hassle. Every time I see the unfinished wall and the two totally different floors it makes me sick how they are not even a close match and I’m reminded of the whole horrible experience. Save yourself the headache. I’m just now leaving a review months later because I try not to complain but I feel we most definitely were done wrong with this situation.
