Licra was hired by my apartment complex to perform smoke remediation in my unit after a smoke incident. Unfortunately, the quality of work and the way the situation was handled were extremely disappointing.

After Licra claimed the remediation was completed, I inspected the unit and immediately noticed that several major surfaces had clearly not been cleaned at all. The living room floors, kitchen countertops, and bathroom vanity countertops still had visible dirt, residue, and even footprints. These were areas directly affected by the smoke and should have been addressed as part of the remediation process.

Despite Licra claiming that these surfaces were cleaned, the condition of the unit clearly showed otherwise. I provided photos documenting the residue and marks that remained. In some areas, simply wiping with a paper towel produced visible oily smoke residue.

Instead of returning to inspect the property or address the concerns, the project was closed without any follow-up visit. When I contacted Licra directly, I received contradictory statements and was ultimately told to speak with the property manager rather than having the work evaluated again.

A remediation company should stand behind its work, especially in situations involving smoke residue where proper cleaning is critical. In this case, the floors, countertops, and vanity surfaces were never properly cleaned despite repeated claims that the work had been completed.

Overall, the work quality was poor, communication was inconsistent, and legitimate concerns about incomplete cleaning were ignored.

I would strongly recommend that anyone hiring Licra verify the work very carefully before accepting that the job is complete

LICRA remediated a rotted subfloor on my upper restroom and resulted in having to replace the cell in the bathroom below. The tile floor in the bathroom also had to be replacedMarie the owner, was extremely professional and she and her crew took special care to be neat, clean and after they left, you couldn’t even tell that they were there. I’d Definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs that type of work completed, especially if you need it completed in a timely manner.
